Online Game: I Have A 100\% Drop Rate - Chapter 299: Awakener Guardian Mathilde [1]

Leon first turned toward Emilia, “I’ll give you these.”
One after another, several items appeared on the table.
The [Supreme Spirit Enhancement (S-Level)], [King of Darkness (S-Level)] and [Mega Strength Enhancement (A-Level)] sub-talents, then the [Plant King Flower (Legendary)] and [Skill Book: Dark Silk Threads]
Emilia’s eyes widened more and more with every item Leon placed down.
“Leon…” she looked genuinely stunned, “Are you absolutely sure about—”
“Yes,” Leon answered immediately while shaking his head, “And before you ask again later if I’m sure, the answer will always be yes.”
“T-Thank you…” Emilia smiled brightly while carefully holding the S-Level spirit sub-talent, “This alone will increase my strength tremendously.”
Leon agreed. An S-Level enhancement sub-talent was already incredibly rare.
But for Emilia specifically, whose entire combat style revolved around spirit and magic, as well her [Spirit Saint] title, the increase would be enormous.
Then Leon turned toward Celeste.
Unlike Emilia, he simply started dropping items directly in front of her while she continued eating without shame.
He gave her the [King of Darkness (S-Level)], the [Supreme Strength Enhancement (S-Level)], and also the [Mega Spirit Enhancement (A-Level)] sub-talent scroll so she could attempt a fusion later.
Leon especially wanted to see whether the darkness-related sub-talent would somehow affect her [Darkness Embers].
As for equipment, he honestly didn’t have much worth giving her right now since most of her current gear was already extremely strong.
“Thonkch~” Celeste spoke while chewing food with her cheeks puffed out.
Leon immediately shook his head, “Swallow first.”
She quickly gulped down the food before grinning.
“Thanks~ I’m actually really excited to see how strong I’ll become after this.”
“Same!” Emilia nodded rapidly. “I want to test my spells immediately now.”
Once they finished eating, both girls immediately began using the sub-talents.
One by one, the scrolls dissolved into particles of light before merging into their bodies. All of the upgrades succeeded perfectly.
“Tch.”
She looked annoyed for about three seconds before immediately moving on. And finally, Emilia used the skill book.
The moment she poured mana into it, the book dissolved instantly.
Ding!
[Your skill “Silk Bind (Legendary Lv.2)” has evolved into “Dark Silk Threads (Mythical Lv.2)”]
“As expected,” Leon nodded.
The skill evolved because it was essentially an upgraded darkness-oriented version of her previous ability, and thanks to her new darkness sub-talent, it would likely become even stronger than normal.
Satisfied with everything, Leon paid for the absurd amount of food the table had suffered through before the three of them finally left the restaurant.
All of them felt much stronger than before. It genuinely felt like almost nothing in the [Advanced District] could threaten them anymore.
Yet right as Leon thought about that—
“Ah…!”
Emilia suddenly froze before collapsing directly onto the ground while clutching her head tightly.
Her entire body trembled violently.
“Emilia?!” Celeste quickly crouched next to the elf, confused.
As for Leon, he immediately understood what was happening: her talent’s passive. The danger detection ability.
And from the sheer intensity of her reaction this time, it was obvious something incomparably worse than before was approaching.
“I-It’s coming…” Emilia whispered shakily.
Then another notification suddenly appeared before Leon.
Beep!
[The “Awakener Lord” doesn’t appreciate being ignored.]
“What?”
BOOM!
Before Leon could even properly react, he suddenly sensed an overwhelming presence rushing toward him from the side.
A massive shield slammed directly into his body. The sheer force behind the impact was horrifying.
Leon felt the air explode from his lungs before his entire body was sent flying through the street and crashing violently into a nearby wall hard enough to crack it apart.
His vision spun instantly. For a split second, he genuinely almost lost consciousness.
“Leon!”
Celeste immediately summoned Pyra while taking out her spear, her expression turning furious as flames began surrounding her body.
Emilia also forced herself back up despite the pain and grabbed her scepter while staring toward the source of the attack.
And finally, the figure behind the shield lowered it: it was a woman. A massive one.
Tall, muscular, and covered in heavy armor while holding a gigantic shield planted vertically into the ground.
The aura radiating from her body alone was monstrous.
“The [Awakener Lord] asked me to relay a message,” the woman spoke calmly while resting both hands atop her shield, “You have been summoned to take the special advancement test.”
Her lips slowly curled upward afterward.
“And apparently… he prepared something very interesting specifically for you.”
The moment nearby players recognized her, panic instantly spread through the area.
“H-Holy shit… that’s Mathilde!”
“WHAT?!”
“Get away from here right now!”
“I don’t wanna get caught near her!”
The streets emptied almost immediately as players fled in fear.
Clearly, this NPC already possessed a terrifying reputation throughout the [Advanced District].
And honestly, Leon understood why. Now that his vision had stabilized enough for him to stand again, he could properly sense her aura. It was overwhelming.
Players below a certain level would probably faint or vomit simply from standing too close to her.
“Why the hell did you attack him?!” Celeste shouted angrily while pointing her spear toward Mathilde. “That’s completely—”
BAM!
Before Celeste could even finish speaking, Mathilde casually backhanded her shield sideways.
The gigantic impact sent Celeste flying straight through the restaurant they had just exited moments ago.
The entire front wall exploded apart.
“Shut up, pest,” Mathilde said coldly while turning her gaze back toward Leon. “I’m speaking to Celestial.”
The moment Leon saw Celeste get sent crashing away like that, his expression darkened instantly and killing intent exploded from his body.
Yet at the same time… He also understood something very clearly.
He couldn’t win. Not against her. Because the woman standing before him… Was level 100.
Surprisingly, Leon was able to inspect Mathilde’s status panel with [Appraisal].
The moment the panel appeared before him, he immediately understood that the reason he could see it wasn’t because his skill had suddenly become powerful enough to see through a level 100 NPC’s panel.
Mathilde herself had allowed it to happen. And what he saw made a chill run down his spine.

[Awakener Guardian, Mathilde]
[Level: 100]
[Talent: ???]
[Combat Power: ???]
[Details: One of the Awakener Lord’s guardians, some of the strongest NPCs in Higher Domain #3.]

Leon’s expression darkened as he stared at the panel, ’Damn it…’
Even with his improved [Appraisal], the information shown was minimal. Her talent was hidden, her combat power was hidden, and most of her details were concealed behind question marks.
Still, the fact he could even see her level meant that Mathilde had intentionally allowed him to inspect her.
It wasn’t kindness either. It was pride.
The kind of pride that came from knowing the difference in strength between them was so massive that she didn’t need to hide anything in the first place.
Normally, a player twenty-five levels below someone like Mathilde wouldn’t even see a single word on their status panel.
Leon tightened his grip around both the [Destiny Staff] and his sword while slowly stepping forward.
