- Chapter 324: Hell Difficulty Forest of Oblivion Realm

“It did not specify any particular difficulty in the test description,” Leon mumbled to himself as he read the options.
And so, Leon simply decided to asked.
“The [Orc of Oblivion]?” one of the nearby players titled his head, “He’s the boss of the [Hard] and [Hell] difficulty.”
“Alright, thanks.”
Tap!
Leon selected [Hell] difficulty without any hesitation.
He would have liked to select [Nightmare] for better rewards, but completing the test was the priority.
Before entering the realm’s portal, which changed its color to a faint swirling mix of crimson and purple after his difficulty selection, Leon turned toward Emilia with a serious expression on his face.
He grabbed a [Resurrection Stone] from his [Storage Space] and handed it directly to her.
That was just in case anything went wrong in the realm, it was always better to be safe than sorry.
“Make sure to both stay in one place when we enter,” Leon asked the two girls directly, giving them clear instructions, “I’ll be able to see exactly where you are on my map, so just wait for me to come to you and don’t wander off into danger.”
The two girls both nodded their understanding without any argument, and just like that, the trio entered the realm’s portal together to clear Emilia’s test once and for all.
Fwoosh!
Leon felt himself being transported elsewhere through the void between realms, and after only a few seconds of weightless travel, his feet finally touched solid ground again.
Ding!
[You have entered the “Forest of Oblivion”]
Leon gazed at his surroundings for only a few seconds to get his bearings.
He had appeared in some sort of large clearing, with the dark and twisted forest surrounding him entirely on all sides.
The entire place had a dark and oppressive atmosphere, with the trunks, leaves and even the grass all looking much darker than anything found in a normal forest.
And strangely enough, the same purple corrupted aura emanated from everywhere he looked.
Cracks of it were spreading across the trees, the ground, and anywhere it could possibly reach and latch onto.
Other than that observation though, Leon did not care enough to pay any more attention to the environmental details, and also because he simply did not have the time to waste on admiring the scenery right now.
He immediately opened his [World Map], and thankfully for his plan, he could see exactly where Emilia and Celeste were from where he was currently standing on the map.
’Good, everything is working as expected,’ Leon thought with relief.
He rushed forward toward Celeste’s location first, since she was the weakest among the three of them in terms of raw combat power and therefore the most likely to get into trouble if left alone for too long.
Leon’s overall plan was to not waste any time at all and simply clear this entire thing as quickly as he possibly could, because the sooner they finished Emilia’s test, the sooner they could all move on to better things.
Fwoosh!
Leon rushed through the [Forest of Oblivion] as fast as his legs could possibly carry him.
He ignored any monster he saw in the distance to try and get to Celeste as quickly as possible.
Every second he spent fighting random creatures was a second she might be in danger.
At one point though, he encountered a group of monsters that he could not easily avoid without going far out of his way.
They all stared at him with blank expressions as the purple aura in their eyes leaked out like smoke from a dying fire.
“KKKAKK!” one of them pointed directly at Leon and shouted in a guttural language, making all the others lock their gaze onto him and prepare to attack.
—
[Goblin of Oblivion]
[Level: 90]
[Exclusive Talent: Corrupted (B-Level)]
[Combat Power: 2,800,000]
[Details: Goblins corrupted by “Oblivion” and turned much stronger, the purple cracks are signs of the corruption.]
—
Each of these goblins were incredibly strong despite their small stature.
Even though regular goblins were usually considered to be among the very weakest monsters in existence.
But these particular creatures had evolved into these corrupted goblins because of the influence of “Oblivion” spreading through this realm, which had fundamentally changed their nature and made them far more dangerous than their normal counterparts.
The goblins each stood around one point four meters tall, with deep green and dark colored skin stretched over their thin frames and purple cracks all over their bodies like veins of corruption running through stone.
As soon as they noticed Leon standing there in their territory, they pulled out their crude wooden clubs and all rushed toward him at once with the clear intention to kill him on the spot.
But alas for them, Leon did not even bother casting any spells against these monsters.
He simply did not need to waste his time on such weak opponents, after all, he had his new sword in hand and that was more than enough for creatures like these.
SLASH!
Leon swung his newly acquired sword at the nearest goblin with a single smooth motion, and its entire body was cut apart without any sign of resistance, falling to the ground in two separate pieces before it could even scream.
“Krkrkak?!” the other goblins chattered in confusion at how easily their companion had been dispatched.
But they did not back away from the fight as they swung their clubs toward Leon’s head and body with all their corrupted strength.
But alas, Leon’s sword also slashed right through their weapons as if they were made of paper, cutting the clubs in half before continuing its arc to kill every single goblin in the group one after another.
The [Blood Heart Blessing] of his sword tripled his strength output with every single swing, so no matter how evolved or corrupted these goblins were, they stood absolutely no chance against him in a direct confrontation.
Ding!
[You have killed x8 “Goblin of Oblivion” and gained 2,400,000 experience points.]
[100% Drop Rate has triggered, items have been automatically placed in your storage space.]

Ding!
[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 81.]
[All your attributes have increased by 450 and you have gained 450 free attribute points.]
While still running through the forest at full speed, Leon also took the time to open his [Storage Space] and check what the goblins had dropped for him.
