Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster - Chapter 952 952: Rotten Noble

“Hmm…”
As he descended into one of the giant cities, Rael couldn’t help but think that this was just one giant slum. The distribution between the wealthy and the poor was stupid.
There were around four modern houses for the nobles, and then hundreds of poor-looking medieval wooden houses for the less wealthy. Of course, Rael didn’t really care about the status of the people, but the fact that this just looked very odd was a bit funny to him.
Despite that, Rael didn’t really want to change anything, since if the world and the hierarchy had existed this long, then that meant they were definitely doing something right. On the bright side, there were some minigames they could play near the center of the city.
Except when they completely descended and touched the ground, the first thing they saw was a group of orphans walking around, holding wooden swords. They looked rather fearsome for their age. More importantly, from the faint killing intent, Rael felt like these kids were going somewhere to kill someone.
Judging by the direction, they were headed straight for a noble’s house. Rael let out a sigh at that sight, feeling just how much the injustice must’ve hurt these children.
“Should we help them?” Gaia asked.
Rael turned to her with a surprised look. “You want to help them? Huh. That’s the first time I’ve actually seen you try to take initiative.”
Before Gaia could reply, Nyx chimed in with a scoff:
“Let’s say you do help them, are you going to give these kids some hope that whenever they do stupid shit and cause problems, someone would always be there to help them?”
Gaia narrowed her eyes. “So you think we should just let these kids die?”
Right as they were about to break out in a fight, Rael coughed once, then said:
“Do whatever you want.”
Gaia and Nyx turned toward him, raising their brows.
“What are you talking about?” Nyx asked.
“You don’t mind?” Gaia was even more confused.
Rael just shrugged. “I mean, go for it. They’re going to get themselves killed, so why not just get rid of the problem before they can face it?”
They were about to say something, but quickly realized what Rael was insinuating. One way to make the kids still learn a life lesson, but not feel like they had a guardian angel, was to deal with the problem directly.
They were going toward a noble’s house. Sure, all they needed to do was just see what the noble did that angered the kids, and if anything, they could just go ahead and kill the noble so the kids didn’t have any more grievances.
And so after just a few seconds of silence, that was exactly what Gaia did. She snapped her fingers, freezing time. Yet Nyx and Rael were also in that time-frozen realm, moving normally as the three of them quickly traced the location where the kids were heading.
Rael used his Prophetic Realm to locate the noble’s house, and as expected, it was the largest one. They didn’t even need to enter the home directly, as right in the garden, Rael and the others spotted several dozen human skulls littered across the garden.
Not to mention, there were a few dogs running around, eating what was left of the skulls. Rael didn’t even want to think about who those skulls belonged to, as just that thought alone made him want to vomit in disgust.
Regardless, they created an invisible barrier around the modern mansion and then unfroze time. Afterwards, they went ahead and walked up to the front door, then knocked.
A few seconds passed until eventually, a butler opened the door, a confused look on his face.
“Have you three scheduled a visit with the Baron?”
Rael smiled. “Either you bring the Baron here, or we will wipe this whole estate off the map. You have five seconds.”
The butler didn’t believe it at first, but that was when Rael summoned a single pillar of fire on the tip of his finger, causing the butler to abruptly freeze and then run away. Obviously, he was not stupid enough to think he could just take on someone who could do something like that.
And as expected, the butler brought the Baron within just a few seconds. It was a fat old man with a long white beard. He could pass off as Gandalf if he just put on a coat. Well, a slightly fatter and more arrogant-looking Gandalf.
Regardless of that, the moment the Baron saw them, the first thing he did was snarl in disgust.
“Why have you summoned me? Who even are you people?”
“Don’t worry about it. I have a question for you. What are all those skulls doing in your backyard?” Rael asked, taking the initiative.
However, what was the point of initiative? No amount of excuses could make this guy any less tolerable. What, did he have the skulls of all his enemies there? Definitely not.
So while Rael was busy trying to figure out something so useless, Gaia and Nyx went ahead and used their own methods to see just what had happened that led to all those skulls appearing.
And once they found out the truth, they didn’t even let the noble open his mouth. With a single flick of her finger, Gaia sliced the entire mansion in two, alongside the neck of the noble, as well as the butler and every single attendant who was inside.
It all happened so fast that neither the noble nor anyone else had noticed the cut. Only when his words began to come out like a mumble did the noble realize what had happened.
But by then, it was already too late. His body fell limp, as did the butlers’. As for the mansion itself, it remained perfectly still, but not for long as Nyx went ahead and pushed it, causing it to collapse and bury the noble’s body alongside his crimes.
