Chapter 1997: A New Divine Realm
—–
I gazed upon the beauty of the newly formed Floor 1: the forests, the continents, and… the seas.
The depths of the sea teemed with life. Dozens of new species of spirit beasts emerged in mere seconds, alongside ordinary animals. Giant forests rose in the middle of these seas as well.
Yes, enormous trees erupted from beneath the ocean floor, their roots plunging deep into the mantle before surging upward to form entirely unique ecosystems never seen before. It was incredible.
There was also a small emerald moon, completely cloaked in greenery—that was why it glowed emerald. It had no oceans, only several vast lakes. It wasn’t as large as the planetoid, but still impressively big.
Finally, beyond the black void dotted with tiny lights no bigger than mountains—miniature stars shining brightly in this floor’s “outer space”—hung a larger star, a sun roughly twice the size of the emerald moon.
Unlike the real stars Alice had described, made entirely of fire and plasma, this sun and the other stars were radiant divine spiritual crystals drifting slowly through the void.
The sun was the largest, and the planetoid orbited it. From what I could perceive, life existed even on the sun’s surface, though my powers couldn’t let me see details from such a distance. Fire-attribute spirits and similar beings dwelled there, along with burning forests.
It seemed Yggdra’s authority had spread not only to the moon but to every star—most of them now sprouted small trees adapted to any environment.
It was… quite honestly, utterly insane.
“Ugh, how can I even find where everyone is?” I muttered. “Okay, let’s just do this.”
I focused my thoughts. By channeling the power of my Dungeon Authority, I quickly pinpointed all my friends.
“Come here!”
Using Space Magic as Dungeon Master, I teleported everyone to my side in an instant. Most looked as bewildered as I felt. Aquarina had already been hunting her way toward me, so she appeared calm. And Lara… she had been splashing around in a lake, dancing and singing with dozens of animals and spirits. Wait, what? Wow, this girl is way too whimsical.
“Woah!” Aquarina gasped, materializing beside me. “Sylphy! I was already heading toward you—I could sense you from afar—but I think you were on the other side of this damn continent. It would’ve taken me a while.”
“Sorry, everyone. Things happened… uh, and this entire floor expanded into a giant planet,” I sighed, laying out the truth.
“Isn’t that awesome though?!” Lara exclaimed. “Wow, Sylphy, there’s never a single boring day when I’m with you, hahaha!”
“Yeah, this is insane,” Zephyrus agreed. “Fitting for my sister—she always pulls off the craziest things.”
“It wasn’t me! It was Yggdra!” I insisted.
“Yeah, but you’re the one who brought Yggdra to life and made all of this possible,” Celeste said, crossing her arms. “Um, Ruby, are you okay?”
“Achoo! Achoo!” Ruby kept sneezing. “Uugh, I have allergies… there’s so much pollen everywhere… sniffff… Ahh… s-sorry…”
“Hm, that makes sense. You’re half dwarf and half oni—your people usually live in mountains where pollen and forests are rare,” I said with a nod. “Don’t worry, here, I’ll make something for you…”
I quickly compressed magic and spiritual energy between my hands and, through alchemy, wove it into a special semi-transparent golden mask.
“Here—a temporary spirit artifact,” I said.
“Oh wow, how did you do this—Achoo!” Ruby sneezed again. “Sniff… Aaah, l-let me try it—Achoo!”
She equipped the mask and slowly relaxed. The artifact acted as a filtering barrier, clearing pollen from every breath. With a light tap, it became nearly invisible.
“Haaaa… now I can smell the fresh air no problem!” Ruby sighed in deep relief. “Oh wow, it’s so nice in here!”
“I’m glad it worked,” I said, nodding.
“Sylphy, you conjured a spirit artifact just like that?!” Lara stared in shock. “It took me years to learn how to make them with my spirit friends!”
“Haha, well, it’s a little different. I don’t borrow power from nature—I just use my own spirit energy,” I explained. “Yours is obviously stronger, much more flexible, and way more versatile.”
“No, no, you’re still incredible! Sylphy, can’t I take classes with you later? I want to learn how to use my abilities better from you,” she pleaded.
“But Lara, didn’t you already learn a lot?” I asked, tilting my head.
“It’s never enough!” she declared stubbornly.
“Haha, okay, sure,” I agreed. “I wouldn’t miss the chance to spend more time with my bestie.”
“Heheh, thanks!” she giggled adorably and hugged me tight.
“…Ahem! Well, alright, we should get going then,” Aquarina said. “Don’t you all agree?”
“Yeah!” I nodded. “Alright, everyone? Come!”
After that, I summoned my Spirits and Familiars to my side. They all appeared just as surprised as I had been, looking around in confusion.
“Sylphy! What the hell is happening?!” Ignatius demanded.
“Ah, well… Yggdra became a whole planet or something—I mean, no, she’s that tree over there,” I explained.
“What the fuck?!” Ignatius shouted in disbelief.
“C-Calm down!” I said.
“This is unbelievable! Everyone’s becoming so strong and I’m the only bum around that can’t even evolve!!!” he wailed.
“Geez, calm down,” I insisted, scooping him up and cradling him like a baby dragon in my arms. “You’ll get there! Stop crying like a baby!”
“Ugh! Unhand me!!!” he protested, squirming cutely—but I didn’t let go.
“Nuh-uh, you’re my dragon plushie from now on,” I chuckled, planting a kiss on his forehead.
“I am not a baby dragon anymore!!!” he screamed.
“Then why do you look like a baby dragon?” I teased, laughing.
“This is my small energy-conservation form!!!” he kept yelling.
I ignored Ignatius’s tantrum and turned to the others. “Anyway, let’s get going. I’ll explain everything on the way.”
I could have teleported us, but the path to Yggdra wasn’t far. Walking gave us a chance to take in the wonders around us: vast jungles, towering plants and trees, and countless new species of flora and fauna everywhere.
“It’s so beautiful and full of nature spirits!” Lara sang, dancing and leaping about. “La la la la! Lalalal!” Spirits and spirit beasts gathered around her, walking happily at her side.
“Wow, Lara is truly the Disney princess of the group, huh?” Alice remarked, chuckling.
“What’s that?” I asked.
“Uh, when a girl is whimsical and acts like a princess from a fairy tale,” Alice explained.
“Oooohh! I guess that makes sense,” I said, nodding.
