Chapter 2155: Records of creation (3)
Though it was interesting to watch them run these tests, it didn’t really explain why I was being shown these visions.
I wasn’t really gaining anything from watching them like this.
Not to mention that it wasn’t as if I would ever be doing the same thing as them with my divine energy.
Gods were gods for a reason, so it wasn’t as if a mortal like me could ever replicate the things that gods could do.
Only I had no choice but to watch since there wasn’t anything that I could do in this place.
After watching for a bit, it seemed like there was finally some kind of breakthrough as the gods watching over the cultivation chambers reacted to something.
But from what I could hear…
“I have no idea what they’re doing.”
The words that they used were words that I couldn’t understand.
I could hear the words that were coming out of their mouths, but it also felt like they were talking in a completely different language. Not only that, it felt like there was some kind of strange power that was imbued into each of the words that they said that made it impossible for me to understand them.
The more that I listened to them, the more confused I was about what was happening.
“Why are they suddenly speaking in this language?”
Though I was thinking this, I already knew what the reason was.
Whoever was showing me this vision didn’t want me to hear what they were saying.
Whoever it was that caused this to happen wanted to keep whatever they were doing from me.
But that just made me want to know even more what was happening.
There had to be a reason that they were keeping all of this from us.
“Something’s happened, I need you!”
There was a voice that came from outside of this lab which caused everyone to suddenly drop what they were doing.
There were a few that remained behind, but most of this group stood up and turned to leave.
Since that group included Solista and Aquaron, I decided to go with them.
Though it wasn’t as if I had a choice.
I had been caught off guard by all of this and hadn’t been able to react in time to them moving all of a sudden like this. By the time that I did react, I found that there was something that was pulling me along.
Based on the distance that I maintained with Solista, it seemed that whoever had created this space had also created some kind of connection between the two of us.
It was this kind of space around her that I was forced to remain in.
In one sense, it was like some kind of chain that kept me attached to her.
In another sense, it was like some kind of cage that made sure that I was kept within her vicinity.
The one that created this vision really wanted me to follow Solista.
When we finally stopped, I found that we were in a room that was very strange.
This room wasn’t filled with large cultivation chambers like the other room had been, but rather there were these spheres that were floating in the air all over this room.
When I looked closely, I could see that each sphere was its own environment.
It was as if each of these spheres was its own little world.
The one that was in charge of this room was a god that Lin Fan was familiar with as well.
“The atmospheres just won’t stabilize.”
Vivrum said to Solista the moment that she came in.
With the way that Vivrum treated Solista, it was more than enough to show that she was a big deal in this place. Though that was something that I already knew with the way that she acted around the other gods.
She had already shown that she was a leader among them and it seemed like this was something that had been happening for a long time.
Solista didn’t say anything in response as she went forward to look at the different spheres that were in the room.
“Why are you putting so much emphasis on survivability?”
Vivrum was surprised to hear this, but she replied, “Aren’t we doing this so that they have places to live? Isn’t that the whole point of creating these environments.”
Solista gave a small nod to show her agreement, but then she added, “If we don’t give them some adversities, then they’ll never be able to develop. They need things to adapt to so that they can grow.”
Vivrum narrowed her eyes when she heard this as if she didn’t like this, but she didn’t say anything as she went to adjust something with the spheres.
Once that was done, it seemed like she got the result that she wanted.
Though it didn’t seem like she was happy about this.
Solista patted Vivrum on the shoulder before saying, “I know, but this is how it’s supposed to be. They are much tougher than you think.”
Vivrum just gave a sigh before saying, “I hope so.”
Though they said this in a casual tone, it was different for me.
I always thought that this would be the case, but seeing it for myself really had a different feeling.
“Gods really do control everything about mortal lives…”
I didn’t really have the time to process this as there was a voice that said, “Solista, there’s something that I need your help with.”
The moment that this voice rang out, the entire tone of this room changed.
It had been casual until now, but the tone suddenly became serious once they heard this voice.
All of the other gods looked at Solista as if they were urging her to go as soon as possible.
Solista also knew what was expected of her, so she quickly handed everything over to the others.
Seeing this, I could understand why I was connected to Solista.
