Chapter 2160: Surging power

Once that flash of light cleared, I found that I was in front of a familiar statue.

This was the same statue that had held all of the other inheritances from the God of Creation.

When I was in front of the statue, I could feel that there was something that flowed from it to me. This was something that I had never been able to feel properly until now.

But this was a clear show of the growth that I had experienced.

As this flowed into me, I could feel the change that came from inside. Though it didn’t feel like it was that big of a change.

In fact, there was a part of me that was disappointed with this change. After all, it just wasn’t as strong as the change from before.

It felt like I was only receiving a tenth of what I received previously.

That was until I felt the flow coming to an end. It was at that moment that all of the disappointment that I felt disappeared.

“What is this sensation surging from deep within?”

This was a feeling that was like something was erupting from deep inside of me. It was a feeling that actually caught me off guard.

Especially since it felt like it might blow me away.

It was almost as if what was contained within the vessel was too big for the vessel. It felt like it was a matter of time before it would explode.

“Damn it, why is it like this?”

I could complain all I wanted, but it wasn’t as if complaining would actually do anything for me. The only thing that I could do now was…

“You belong to me, don’t think that you’ll break me.” I said through gritted teeth as I started suppressing that feeling that came from inside.

I was doing all that I could to suppress that feeling that felt like it was going to rip me apart.

At first it didn’t feel like this was of any use as that sensation that came from within felt like it was getting stronger and stronger.

A bit of fear even filled my heart as I thought that I might really blow up.

But in the end, it reached a peak.

When it felt like I couldn’t take it anymore, the pressure suddenly started to shrink. It was a sudden flip that I was even caught off guard by this change.

However, I didn’t waste any time as I continued suppressing that sensation.

The strange thing was…

“Is it going away on its own?”

There was this feeling that felt like even if I didn’t do anything, this pressure from within would disappear on its own.

It really made it feel like this was some kind of test that came along with this inheritance. It was like it was testing just how much I was able to handle.

“Then does that mean that if I had been able to suppress it more or endure it, it would have given me even more power?”

There was a part of me that felt a trace of regret, but the more logical side of me pushed that thought away.

After all, this was nothing more than conjecture and not the truth. Even if this was what I thought was the truth, there was nothing that would have confirmed this.

So it was better to just let this go and focus on what was real.

When that pressure finally disappeared, it was as if some kind of new world opened up. The moment that the pressure disappeared, it was like all of my senses became overstimulated.

It was a lot to take in and I couldn’t help falling into a daze because of it.

In the end, when I came back to my senses…

“Ah, this is too sharp.”

This overloading of my senses wasn’t something that could be adapted to that easily.

It was something that I had to take some time before I was finally able to adjust. Though even by adjusting, it was still that I was looking at things with blurry eyes.

This was a complete change with my body.

I was on a completely different level compared to before.

But that did fill me with confidence.

“If it’s this kind of power, I should be able to face War…”

Even if there was nothing left to protect, that didn’t mean that I couldn’t take revenge for the ones that I loved.

Though after that, I had no idea what I would do.

“That’s for later, right now the most important thing is to take revenge.” I said as if I was trying to convince myself of this.

Since there was nothing else to do here, I was about to turn and leave. However, I suddenly noticed something when I was about to got a that made me stop.

“Did it change?”

I asked myself this as I stared at the statue in front of me.

After staring at it for a bit, I figured out what it was that changed.

“The mosaic…is weaker than before?”

The mosaic that had blocked the God of Creation’s face was still there, but it seemed like it had weakened to a certain extent.

Even though the mosaic was there, it was as if it was less blurred and I was able to see a few of the features on this statue’s face.

Though even with that, the face of the statue was still a blur to me. I was only able to make out the general outline of that face and wasn’t able to see anything definitive.

Just that alone should be a sign that I was much stronger than before.

However, there was another thought that came to mind when I saw this.

“I already knew that she would be stronger than the other gods, but just how powerful is she?”

I could already make out the outline for the other gods last time and that had become more clear the more that I trained.

Yet for the God of Creation, I wasn’t even able to make out the outline even now.
