Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2178: Full offense (2)

Chapter 2178: Full offense (2)
Though the force behind War’s attack had increased, there was one thing that did decrease.
Since there was more force and weight behind these attacks, it meant that its speed and maneuverability had decreased.
This mass of corruption energy could no longer keep up with the speed that Lupus and I possessed. So even if it was more powerful compared to before, it wasn’t as if it meant anything if it couldn’t hit.
But I didn’t let my guard down for a second.
After all, I knew that if War was going to exchange speed for power like this, there had to be some kind of attribute to this that made it all worthwhile. There had to be something that made this special.
It turned out that it was because of the numbers that the soldiers brought.
Once they charged forward, they suddenly split up into different parts.
All of the soldiers moved away from War, which actually decreased the mass of the corruption energy bundle that they formed. This in turn decreased the force and power that was behind their attacks.
But what happened was that it formed something that was similar to a cage.
In no time at all, it seemed like Lupus and I were trapped inside of a formation that was created by War and these corruption energy soldiers.
However, I could also tell that there was something different about the way that they took this formation. With how the corruption energy soldiers moved, it was as if they were a part of War itself.
Like they were limbs for War to move as it wished.
This was something that seemed familiar to me…
“A domain?”
No matter how I looked at it, it really seemed like War had put up a domain around itself.
It felt like everything was under War’s control with how the corruption energy spread out in this space.
“It’s not as if domains are exclusive to the gods. Those that are powerful enough will be able to form them as well.”
This was the case with me, so it would make sense that War would be able to do so.
The gods had already told me that these two stronger members of the Four Omens were comparable to demigods after all. It only made sense that War would be able to put up this domain as well.
Once the domain was formed, I knew that there was only one thing that I could do.
“Form.”
With this command and the orb that I raised, I also released my own domain to counter the domain that War set up.
As soon as I released the domain, I could feel the strain that came from pushing back the domain that War had formed around me.
What domains were was a space where the user would have absolute domination over that space. Since it was absolute domination, it wasn’t as if two domains could exist in the same space.
If there were two domains that were released in the same space, they would push against each other until one of them was pushed out. It would continue until the weaker one would be extinguished.
Though before that happened, there was this tense balance that was formed between the domains as they fought for domination.
“If I hadn’t learned how to form a domain, I would have been killed by War without even knowing what happened…”
After all, a domain gave absolute domination of a space and killing someone in one’s domain was easy. After all, absolute domination meant control over life and death.
For a domain that had the attribute of war, this certainly would have been an easy thing.
Which was why it was important that I had my own domain as a shield.
“It seems like you aren’t completely worthless. At least this will be interesting.”
War said this in a casual manner, but it was definitely qualified to say such a thing.
I knew that at the rate that this was going, I was going to be crushed by War’s domain.
In the first place, we just couldn’t compare when it came to the amount of energy that we had. Not to mention that War even had the boost from the surrounding corruption energy monsters backing it.
With War gathering all of this corruption energy, it really was hard for me to go against it.
Which was why I had to find a different way to break through War’s domain.
I started observing the different corruption energy soldiers that War summoned and started looking for any kind of weakness from them. Since I was able to form a domain as well, I knew that the weakness when it came to domains was what was used to set them up.
That meant that if I was able to find a way to reach the soldiers, I should be able to break free.
“It really is gambling it all…” I couldn’t help thinking to myself, but there was nothing else that I could do. It wasn’t as if I was just going to wait here until my death.
It was something that happened all of a sudden.
Since Lupus and I were connected in mind, it wasn’t hard for us to act at the same moment.
There was a single sword that stabbed out at one of the soldiers that was there.
This soldier was at the furthest point away from War, which was why we were able to reach it in the end. But not only that, we also made sure to follow the flow of the corruption energy so that it traveled the path of least resistance to hit the soldier.
Once it hit the soldier, the soldier was completely ripped to shreds by this sword.
As it died, I could see that there was a trace of gratitude in the way that it looked at me.
So I just gave a simple nod in response to this gratitude that the corruption energy soldier showed me.
At least I was able to put one of them out of its misery.
