“That’s enough of that.”

When the swords stabbed into War’s back, it seemed like there was some kind of trigger that was switched. It was as if War realized that what it was doing wasn’t going to work, so it was going to try something else.

This wasn’t that surprising since these weapons coming out of the ground should have been among the weakest of War’s tricks.

With this kind of transformation, to only give the power to create weapons like this…

Well, it would have been a disappointment.

But the fact that War was going to show a new kind of power wasn’t a good sign for me.

I wanted to stop War before it was able to do such a thing, but I found that it wasn’t that easy.

As soon as War stopped releasing the weapons, there was a surge in the corruption energy around it. Or it was better to say that there was a recession of that corruption energy.

After all, that corruption energy was being pulled in towards War.

It was clear that War was gathering the corruption energy around itself since what it had tried previously wasn’t working. In that case, it was planning on using a second form of power.

This time, it would be much more serious…

Only it seemed like it wasn’t just War gathering its energy alone.

It seemed like War was collecting the energy of the surrounding corruption energy monsters as well as they suddenly broke down. Once their forms broke down, the corruption energy that had made up their bodies all started flowing towards War.

What War was doing was drawing in the power of the corruption energy monsters and using it for itself.

This was also the reason why I knew that I would never win in terms of endurance.

However, since War had never done this before…

“It was already that strong and now it’s gathering power from the surrounding corruption energy monsters…”

I couldn’t even begin to imagine just how strong War would become after it finished gathering all of this power in itself.

But there really was no way of stopping War from doing this. Even if I wanted to stop it, I knew that I wouldn’t be able to penetrate through all of the corruption energy that was gathering around War.

At this point, it became a mass of corruption energy that really was hard to do anything against.

If I wanted to penetrate it, it would require a lot of concentration on my part as well.

It wasn’t as if War was going to give me that chance.

As the corruption energy gathered around War, it also seemed like it was slowly transforming. It seemed like this corruption energy was taking a different form with how it was shifting.

When it was all over, it wasn’t actually a surprise what form the corruption energy took.

Since it was corruption energy that was gathered by War, it was only natural that this would be the form that it would take. In just a single moment, it was as if an army had been gathered by War.

With the way that they acted, it was as if they all had their own awareness and thoughts. It seemed like a real army made of real soldiers with the way that they gathered.

The strange thing was the way that they looked at War after they had been gathered.

Even though they were technically soldiers of corruption energy that had been gathered by War, it didn’t seem like they were that keen about having it as a commander. With how they looked at War, it was almost as if they resented War for summoning them.

It wasn’t that they were close to War and they resented it for summoning them all of a sudden.

It was as if they were being forced to follow War with the way that they treated War.

Only War didn’t seem to care about the way that its soldiers looked at it.

In fact, it almost seemed like it was enjoying the fact that these soldiers were looking at it like this.

Once it had finished summoning these soldiers, War looked at me and said, “It’s your turn to join them.”

When War put it like this, it was hard not to understand why they were looking at War like this.

They really had been forced to serve under War.

It seemed like the people that War had defeated in the past had been trapped inside of the corruption energy. When War summoned them, it seemed to draw out their souls and forced them into becoming War’s soldiers.

For these people that were trapped like this, there was no doubt a lot of pain for them.

It was just that there was nothing that they could do about this.

If they could break free of War’s control, they would have done so a long time ago.

After this threat, War raised its lance and shield before saying, “Charge.”

Once the order was given, it was as if there was something that took over the corruption energy soldiers that had been around War. They were no longer as expressive as before, it was as if there was something that was completely suppressing them.

It was only natural that there would be such a restriction cast on them since they were being used as War’s soldiers.

“If I can, I’ll try and free you.” That was all that I could say to the corruption energy soldiers.

It was just that they certainly didn’t make it easy for me…

Once they had fallen under War’s control, they all charged with War.

It was a large mass of corruption energy that I couldn’t do anything against.

Even if I wanted to find the flow of this mass, there really was nothing that I could do with the force that it had.

It was as if this mass of corruption energy was using its weight to completely disrupt the very flow of the energy.
