Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2176: There’s a pattern

Chapter 2176: There’s a pattern
War didn’t stop creating more weapons from the ground, but it wasn’t a problem for me to create my own weapons to stop it.
Though thinking about it, it seemed like I would become exhausted faster than War if I were to continue like this.
Even if I had gained more divine energy because of what happened, it wasn’t as if I had all the divine energy in the world. There was still a limit to how much I could use and I could feel it slowly draining away as I blocked these corruption energy weapons.
So I had to find something that would give me an edge in this fight.
The key thing that I was aiming for now was to find a chink in War’s armour.
I already had experience since I had fought War previously.
I knew that unless I figured out a way to break through that armour, I wouldn’t be able to actually do anything to War. In fact, I knew that there was a second layer of armour that was under that first layer.
It only seemed like I had broken through War’s armour, but what was underneath was a thinner layer of armour.
At the same time, there was a part of me that suspected that there were even more layers of armour under that. I didn’t believe that someone like War would only have a single layer of defenses prepared.
They would have as many layers of armour that they could get.
Unless I was able to find some kind of weak spot, it might really be hard to break through War’s defenses.
But I was completely focused on trying to find said weak spot since I knew that was my only hope.
As this was happening, I could sense that there was a change that came over War.
Before this, War had calmly attacked as if everything was in the palm of its hands.
But as the fight progressed, I could tell that War was putting more and more energy into its attacks. It seemed like War was finally taking this matter seriously with how it was putting more effort into each of its attacks.
It really felt like War was planning on losing all decorum and going all out.
It was just that I didn’t understand why War would go this far.
In my mind, it really didn’t seem like I posed this kind of threat.
Only as War put more and more power behind its attacks, I was slowly realizing something.
“There’s a pattern to it.”
It was a pattern that one would miss unless they were sensitive to things like this, but I had been trained to observe this. After all, I had to observe the divine energy when I had to follow the flow to send it into the whirlpool.
Which was why I could see the flow of the corruption energy now.
Though divine energy and corruption energy could be considered on the two opposite sides of the spectrum when it came to attribute, there were still some similarities to these two forms of energy.
They were both energy that came from gods after all.
As such, I was able to slowly figure out the way that War released its corruption energy.
“Let me take control.” I said to Lupus through our connection.
I could feel the surprise that Lupus felt from that connection between us, but she trusted me as well as she handed full control of her body to me. As long as we had this saddle between us, it was as if our minds were connected and I was able to control her body like it was my own.
Once I took control, for the first time, War’s attack missed.
Before this, War’s attacks had been too fast and unpredictable for us to dodge.
Only the moment that I took control, I started dodging the attacks that came at us.
It wasn’t as if I was just dodging one or two attacks, I was dodging all of the attacks that were coming at us. It didn’t matter where the attacks came from, I was able to dodge all of them.
It wasn’t that I was able to react to them in time, it was that I was able to predict where they would come from.
I had found the flow of the corruption energy, which allowed me to predict where the corruption energy would go. As long as I was able to predict it, I was able to move before it even happened.
Since I was able to dodge it, I was finally able to save divine energy by not having to block these attacks anymore. Though I was still using a bit of divine energy since it wasn’t as if I had a full understanding of how the flow worked.
I was able to see most of the flow, but I had to use my own divine energy as a sort of litmus paper to keep up with it. After all, there were similarities to the flow between the divine energy and the corruption energy.
This was what allowed me to perfectly predict all of the attacks that War was throwing at me.
At the same time, I started figuring out how the corruption energy was spread out around War.
Like this, I was able to find the area of control that War had over the corruption energy.
“So it is a kind of push and pull. It’s centered around War and it can direct it however it wants. That means that as long as I send my divine energy behind it…”
To prove this hypothesis, there were swords that suddenly stabbed War in the back.
Not only did these swords stab War in the back, it seemed like there were cracks that formed in War’s outer armour.
This definitely wouldn’t have happened before, so it was more than enough proof that my divine energy had become much stronger.
That third inheritance really did push all my abilities to a new level.
