“There’s no reaction.” Max said after he finished his tests on the spike.

I looked at him with an expression to explain this further.

After all, what he said wasn’t enough to actually tell me what I wanted to know about this spike.

What he said could have either been a confirmation or denial of what I wanted to know.

However, it didn’t seem like Max was in a rush to answer.

The way that he looked over the results of the test showed just how uncertain even he was of the answer that came from them. It seemed like this was something that he wasn’t able to figure out right away even with how much of a genius he was on this topic.

Because of that, his bad habit was also triggered.

There was an excited look on his face as he looked over the results.

In the end, I had to give a cough to draw his attention back or else he really would have ignored everything to focus on this spike.

Though it did take him a while before he was able to pull his attention away from the spike to turn back to me.

Though I had already expected this, it was still quite the blow to hear it from him.

Still, I said, “Get ready to set up the seal.”

They all looked at me with confused looks since we were already knew that the seal didn’t have any use at all against this corruption energy spike.

Seeing them look at me like this, I just said, “What’s there to stare at, just do it.”

With a sigh, I said, “Just do it.”
