Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 2221: Sealing it

It really seemed like a desperate situation with how these spikes were suddenly appearing.
We had no idea what these spikes were, which meant that we had lost the upper hand to the forces of Destruction.
There was no telling what they would use these spikes to do, but there was no doubt that it wouldn’t be anything good. After all, these were spikes made of corruption energy that were embedded into the ground.
There was no doubt that there would be some kind of goal for these things.
If there was one thing that we could take comfort in, it was the fact that these spikes didn’t seem to be doing anything right now.
With our domains, we were able to analyze the space around the spike and found that it hadn’t done anything so far. It meant that this spike was still dormant until something activated it for whatever purpose it had.
Of course, none of us just wanted to wait for this thing to activate.
There was no telling what it would do once it was activated…
After a long silence, there was someone that suddenly gave a suggestion.
“What if we sealed it?”
As soon as this was said, we all turned to look at the one that gave the suggestion.
I was a bit surprised since I didn’t expect this suggestion from this person, but it seemed like they had made up their mind before speaking.
In that case, it must mean that they already had a certain seal in mind.
“What do you want us to do?”
The saintess didn’t say anything at first as she looked at the corruption energy spike in the ground. Then she started walking around the area as if she was looking for specific spots to put things down.
It wasn’t hard to guess that this was for the seal that she wanted to put.
Only I had no idea what she wanted to actually create this seal with.
The last thing that the saintess did which was a bit of a surprise was that she consulted Max about the seal.
Once she started talking about it, it was clear that this seal was something that came from the Holy Empire. It should be something that had been passed down through generations of the Holy Empire, something that shouldn’t be shared with outsiders.
Though the original use of this seal should have been for demons and such.
As he listened to her describing it, there was an excited look that appeared on Max’s face. From this, it seemed like the seal that the saintess proposed was something that was very likely to work.
Once he finished listening to the saintess, Max also made a few suggestions about what could have been changed.
This seal was something that was designed to work with holy magic, it wasn’t something that was designed to work with divine energy. Which meant that there were a few changes that had to be made before it could be used with divine energy.
It really had to be said that Max was a mad genius when it came to things related to divine energy.
It didn’t take him long to figure out just how to adapt this seal to the power of divine energy.
The saintess didn’t argue with him since that was the main reason she had consulted him in the first place. She knew that he was more knowledgeable when it came to divine energy, so she left it to him.
After the two of them finished discussing this, they turned to look at me.
I didn’t know what they wanted from me at first, but then I figured it out.
Without a single word, I raised my hand and started forming daggers with my domain.
Since it was a seal that would rely on divine energy, it was only natural that they would need proper materials to form that seal. There really was nothing better than the divine energy daggers that I created.
Once I finished forming them, they took the daggers and moved around the spike.
Every so often, they would stop and dig a hole in the ground before dropping a dagger in.
The way that they dropped the daggers around the spike, it was forming some kind of seal.
Once they finished dropping the last dagger in, it was time for the saintess to activate it.
The daggers were in place, but they needed a trigger before they could form that seal.
That trigger came in the form of the saintess, but it was a strange way to activate a seal.
When she was in place, the saintess suddenly fell to her knees and started to pray.
Though when she did this, there was a reaction that came from the daggers that were in the ground. They suddenly lit up and released a beam of light that went towards the other daggers that were in the ground as well.
With the beams of light, they were all connected and formed some kind of formation in the ground around the corruption energy spike.
Once all of the daggers were connected, the light that came from them was released upwards and seemed to form some kind of wall around the corruption energy spike. However, that wasn’t the right way to describe it either since these didn’t remain as walls.
They became like pieces of paper that soon wrapped around the corruption energy spike itself.
Only it didn’t seem like it had a reaction to the corruption energy spike.
Once the corruption energy spike had been completely wrapped up, that was when a flash of light appeared before everything disappeared without a trace. If one hadn’t been staring at it, they wouldn’t have known that the seal was in place.
The saintess stood up again and said, “It’s done.”
There were some that looked at her with doubtful gazes, but I didn’t doubt the seal that she created.
After all, I was the one that created the daggers that made up the seal, so I could feel the connection to the seal itself.
