SSS Awakening: I Can Class Change at will - Chapter 338 Becoming an Evolver

Chapter 338 Becoming an Evolver
The thought was incredibly exciting, but Moon didn’t dare feed Mirage just yet. The Eye of Truth had shown him the benefits, but also the consequences.
Mirage was strong. But in comparison to a Supreme Rank creature? He was weak.
Moon was also unsure if Mirage had entered the path of illusions yet, or even developed a small affinity toward it. Having a skill related to illusions might not necessarily mean Mirage was on the path of illusions, Moon needed more information about the matter before diving into it.
Devouring the core without the right path or sufficient strength was dangerous. Moon wasn’t going to risk Mirage’s life on a gamble.
“The safest option is to use it in the Second Sanctuary. Mirage will be stronger by then, and he’ll enter that mysterious river in whatever way beasts do. Once he does, we will find out.” Moon muttered to himself.
The Eye of Truth had been extremely useful in understanding the sanctuary, the river, and the system behind it all.
He stared at the green core in his hands. Immense power swirled within it, visible even without activating any skill. Moon activated his Eye of Truth anyway.
His eyes widened. Nothing appeared.
“What? Why?” Moon frowned. “This is also a Supreme Rank core. Why can’t I see its details?”
He hurriedly activated the skill on his sword instead. The details showed up instantly without any issues, which meant one thing…
“It has a cooldown when revealing details about Supreme Ranked items?” Moon placed his hand on his chin. That was the only explanation he could think of.
His eyes landed on the evolution cost of the skill.
[Eye of Truth] [Level 10 → 11] [Cost: 1 Super Life & 10,000 Lives]
Moon stared at the notification in silence, then, a deep breath escaped his mouth.
“Seems like evolving this skill will need to wait until the Second Sanctuary.” Moon shook his head wryly.
He stored both cores in his storage ring and turned his gaze toward the food—except there was no food left.
His lips twitched as he stared at Mirage, who sat there looking like he was waiting for seconds.
“You… I can never leave you alone with food, can I?”
Mirage had done the exact same thing with the fox, and Moon had made the exact same mistake as last time, not telling Mirage to wait, or to leave any for him.
“It’s a good thing I stored the rest in my ring. Otherwise, you would have eaten the entire turtle.” Moon shook his head and pulled out another large portion of meat to cook in the cauldron.
After it was ready, the rider and horse dug into their meal with equal ferocity.
Within seconds, notifications began flooding Moon’s vision.
[You have gained +10 Agility]
Moon’s eyes widened. The gain was in agility rather than constitution, that meant the turtle was actually an agility-type beast, not a defensive one. Its shell had simply been incredibly strong on its own.
“That makes sense. Its speed without the shell was terrifying.”
[You have gained +2 Agility]
[You have gained +2 Agility]
The notifications continued to pour down like rain on a cloudy day. By the time they stopped, Moon had gained a total of twenty agility points.
“That’s double what I gained from the fox.” Moon paused for a moment. The fox had been powerful too. “It’s likely because my agility was so low compared to my mana. The gap made the gains larger.”
He nodded to himself. That had to be it.

Looking at his completed tasks, a soft smile formed on Moon’s face. He was finally ready to reach the next stage, the stage where the true path to power truly began.
“Let’s go partner, we still have a long journey ahead of us. The next base is a few hours away,” Moon carassed Mirage softly.
Mirage rose up to his full height, rubbing his face on Moon’s hand affectionately. The irregular duo made their way back from the The Starfall Wastes, killing a creature that had lived in its inner depth long enough to witness the death and birth of generations.
Time passed by quickly on their travel, Moon in a very pleased mood. He had managed to achieve everything he had wanted within the First Sanctuary. During these hours, Moon had also tried to use his [Eye of Truth] skill once more, and the effect was very pleasing.
Moon had tested it at an hourly interval, and within two hours, the skill was active once more. “So it has a two hour cool down when it comes to inspecting Supreme Ranked items.”
During his travel, Moon did not meet any other awakeners on the way, which was disappointing—especially since he wanted to check out the effect the skill had on humans.
“No matter, I will check it out in the base before I return back to earth.” Moon muttered to himself.
Once he arrived just a few kilometer away from the base, Moon returned Mirage to his beast taming space. As he made his way to the base walls on foot, he encountered a group of awakeners making their way out. The group of awakeners were clearly new awakeners that had just arrived from earth recently. The sight of them moving together, cautious of each other whilst at the same time trusting made him remember his first party.
Moon didn’t reminisce for long, activating [Eye of Truth] one a member that held a sword in his hand.
[Class: Fencer]
[Order: First]
[Skills: Fencing<Common>]
Moon’s eyes immediately glistened at the sight, just like he had predicted, the skill had also provided him with the ability to see the skills of the target.
His eyes moved to the next awakener, and he activated the skill.
[Class: Heavy Tank]
[Order: First]
[Skills: Aggression<Common>, Block <Common>]
Moon was more than happy with the skill. After witnessing the skill’s effect, he was pleased with his choice of evolving it to legendary. From now on, Moon would no longer need to second guess what person to class change to, he could simply choose whatever he pleased.
Of course, Moon wasn’t foolish enough to believe the skill didn’t come with no restriction. There would naturally be restrictions, but that would need more studying and extensive trial and error to find, just like the time his class copy skill failed on Jonathan the mad man.
Moon paid the fee to enter the base, and made his way to the gate. After returning back to earth, Moon made his way straight to the nearest Second Sanctuary gate.
He didn’t dare waste a single second, evolution came first, anything else came after. He didn’t even text Selene or Yara, focused entirely on making his way to the gate.
Arriving at one of the Second Sanctuary gates, Moon was immediately stopped by its guards. “State your business.”
“I’m here to officially become an Evolver.”
The guards nodded their head, whilst it wasn’t a common occurrence, it wasn’t rare. “Congratulations in advance. Follow him, and he will guide you through the registration you need before entering.”
Moon followed one of the guards in registration, the man took his name, his details, and biometrics before allowing him in. This was one of the rules that the awakener’s association implemented to ensure that those that became Evolvers were accounted for and known. Nobody could hide from screening.
After finishing everything, Moon stepped into the gate.
