Strongest Mage with the Lust system - Chapter 928 - 500 High Grade Mana Stones

He didn’t want any sort of trouble at the moment, but it seemed troubles had become fond of him as they kept finding him.
When he glanced over, he saw another cloaked figure walking over and his furrowed even tighter.
Unlike the woman who was already about to buy the talisman and most of the others on the mountain, this cloaked figure, who he could tell was also a woman, was… unrestrained. Not only did she not hide her realm, her aura was also on full display.
’Why would you bother wearing the mask and cloak?’ he couldn’t help but shake his head inwardly. After all, unless her aura wasn’t faked, which he didn’t think it was, it would be very easy to identify or find her.
“What do you want?” the cloaked woman in front of Max coldly asked her.
“That talisman… show it to me.” the latter demanded, her tone filled with arrogance.
“It’s just a Tier 4 talisman. Why would someone of your stature—” the cloaked woman clenched the talisman, not willing to give it up.
“Quit the chitchat. Are you going to hand it over or not?” the second cloaked woman interrupted impatiently.
The first woman stared at her, but in the end, she handed it over to her.
This didn’t surprise Max since the first woman was a Five Star mage while the other party was a powerful King Mage. So, it was natural she would give in. No one could be unyielding in front of those way stronger than them, after all.
The woman inspected it for a few moments before she shifted her gaze to Max. Immediately, her Divine Sense burst forth and covered Max as she asked, “You made it?”
“Hmph!” Max snorted and stopped her Divine Sense from invading his body with his Bloodline Sense.
He then picked up the banner paper and tore it in several pieces.
“You don’t need to know who made it. But if you want to buy it, pay up 500 High Grade Mana Stones, otherwise get lost. Don’t block other customers.” he coldly said, raising his voice.
The people nearby had already noticed the slight confrontation between the two women. When she used her Divine Sense in an unbridled manner, everyone around them, be it the sellers or customers, frowned in displeasure under their masks.
Most of the sellers and even some buyers who came here had some enemies who made it difficult for them to trade things outside. That was why this Trade Mountain came into existence and its most important feature was anonymity.
While there wasn’t anyone to enforce this, if someone dared to flaunt this tacitly understood rule, everyone would band together against that person and throw him out of the Trade Mountain.
This woman had done just that by using her Divine Sense to probe Max.
However, instead of apologizing for her behaviour upon feeling the air around her become oppressive, she swept her gaze across everyone and scoffed, “What are you lot looking at, huh?”
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Immediately, several figures dashed out of the crowd and stood behind her before releasing some of their aura.
Everyone’s expression hardened. Each and every one of the seven was a King Mage, and three were even in the High Stage of the realm, including the woman.
“Ho, what a grand display!” An amused voice cut through the heavy atmosphere.
“Hm?” The woman and others looked in the direction of the voice and saw a cloaked figure sitting on the ground with their head lowered as if they were dozing off. In front of them was spread out a rag on which were a few odd trinkets.
“What? Do you want to—” the woman sneered, but then her next words became stuck in her throat when the figure released their aura which told everyone that this person was a Peak King Mage.
“I want to what?” the figure asked, finally raising their head and looking at the woman.
“Tsk!” The woman clicked her tongue in displeasure. Then she waved her hand and 500 High Grade Mana Stones fell on the ground in front of Max.
“I’ll find out who you are.” she said while staring down at Max, then she turned around and walked away with the seven Kings following behind her.
Max glanced at the cloaked seller and nodded his head in thanks. Then he picked up the mana stones, stored them away along with the bedsheet and stood up.
Now that he had mana stone to spend, it was time to buy some talisman papers and ink so he could create more and sell them to earn even more.
’Maybe I should first see if I can buy some foundation healing medicine with these 500 mana stones?’ he thought before shaking his head.
Back then when he was a Two Star Mage, the foundation strengthening medicine he bought was already very expensive. Given the fact that he now needed Tier 5 foundation healing medicine that shouldn’t be easily available due to them being quite rare, he doubted that let alone these 500 High Grade Mana Stones, even if he added the 20 Mana Crystals he had wouldn’t be enough.
Just as he was thinking this, he heard the cloaked woman who hadn’t left yet say, “Hey, um… sir. Do you have more talismans like that one? If yes, I’m willing to buy them at 50 High Grade Mana Stones per talisman.”
“Just 50?” Max frowned for a moment, then nodded to himself.
Normally, a Low-Grade Tier 4 Elemental Talisman was valued at from 2 to 10 High Grade Mana Stones.
A Mid-Grade Tier 4 Elemental Talisman could fetch from 15 to 40 or 45 High Grade Mana Stone.
So, 50 was already a very good price for his Mid-Grade Talisman. The only reason he had marked it at 100 Mana Stones and was confident that it would be sold was because it was made from an unorthodox technique. The Talisman Masters would recognise it and would definitely buy it for research purposes.
He had thought this woman was also a Talisman Master since she was willing to buy it for 100 earlier, but it seemed to not be the case now?
“How many can you buy?” he asked in interest.
The eyes under the mask lit up and the woman quickly said, “I can buy 3 right now and if you give me some time, I can buy a few more.”
“I see.” nodded Max before saying, “Come here tomorrow around this time then.”
He then walked away and began buying the things he needed. When he finished shopping, he had spent 450 of the 500 his High Grade Mana Stones. And the only reason he had saved 50 was to pay for the mask the next day and save some for emergencies.
…
Buzz!
Several miles away from the Trade Mountain, a black clothed figure suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
This figure was none other than Max. Because he knew people had been keeping an eye on him, he had bought a random teleportation talisman and used it to leave the mountain.
Still, since it hadn’t sent him far enough, he quickly activated a concealment talisman and scurried away from the place.
Two hours later, now dressed in his usual robes, he arrived at his residence and finally sighed in relief. He had managed to evade everyone who was spying on him successfully and returned without being tracked.
’No wonder the majority of the mages are so cautious in everything they do,’ he thought.
There was danger at every turn in this world. If one wasn’t cautious enough or strong enough, some disaster was sure to strike and claim one’s life.
