Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts - Chapter 1606: Eleventh Familiar

Chapter 1606: Eleventh Familiar
Selena’s suggestion actually worked.
Nathan made a jinx within the jinx.
The big problem was the threat that could swallow the entire nation. So, he created a smaller problem, which meant an outbreak. By creating another jinx for this small problem, the outbreak happened, which resulted in the increase of the number of aliens.
If they could continue at this rate, Nathan might be able to get enough ena to summon his 11th familiar.
In fact, if he wanted it, he could just swallow the core of the alpha class alien.
Since a warrior class core could give them 6,000 to 85,000 ena and an elite class core could give 250,000 to 1,900,000 ena depending on their absorption rate, they might at least receive ten times the number.
In other words, it wouldn’t be weird for him to get at least 10 million ena if he ever absorbed an alpha class alien.
This much ena would be more than enough to summon another familiar.
He killed an alpha class alien not long ago. And he still had the alpha class core he got when he was in Erendtall. Unfortunately, that core was left back home.
He couldn’t absorb it yet because he hadn’t formed his rule. Luna and Evelyn had no intention of absorbing the core, so he just left it at home for the time being.
Nevertheless, absorbing an elite class alien would be easier.
That was why Selena suggested making another jinx but for a smaller problem to prevent Nathan from needing to absorb an alpha class core.
She understood how dangerous the situation would become if Nathan absorbed an alpha class core.
In fact, the bigger jinx might end up appearing the moment he absorbed this core if his twisted luck considered absorbing an alpha class core to be the biggest problem.
For the next ten days, the group rarely rested. They continued hunting one alien after another.
Fortunately, Noelle wasn’t that far away from summoning her new familiar, so it only took them the whole day before she got enough ena to summon Bishamonten.
Then, for the rest of the time, Nathan and Iris split the spoils. While it was true that Nathan should be given priority, Nathan still considered Iris to be the priority.
She might be his disciple, but there was a much greater risk that he considered.
The threat might end up killing her, so he wanted Iris to have at least enough power to defend herself. He wasn’t sure whether there would be someone who could watch over her or not once they reached the final destination.
Nevertheless, the plan actually worked. They managed to gather enough ena for Nathan to summon the next familiar.
“Selena. You are a genius.” Nathan was impressed. Even he didn’t think about using his own jinx to his advantage.
Selena smiled wryly. “We might still not escape from the smaller jinx, though.”
Noelle nodded in agreement. “There is a chance that the jinx will launch a full assault on you when you absorb the elite class cores.”
Nathan didn’t plan to underestimate his own jinx. For the next familiar, he had considered a few problems in his fighting style.
And with the added information from Gaia and Nyx, he knew that he should summon a familiar that was at the level of a true god and, possibly, someone who was involved in the Summoners War’s plan.
Nathan gathered the team and said, “Selena, Noelle. You take each front. Iris, you stay with me and protect me. My divine beasts will be around as well, so get ready for all the problems that might occur.”
“Yes.” Noelle and Selena understood their roles perfectly, so they immediately split up.
Iris looked down. “Master… Sorry. Because of me, you ended up having to summon another familiar.”
Iris thought having so many familiars would become a burden for him. It would be best to focus only on a few familiars.
However, Nathan shook his head. “You don’t have to worry about me. First, it was my fault, not yours. Second, while it was true that the situation is dangerous, we’re not at our wits’ end yet.”
“No. I’m talking about your familiars. You are planning to summon your eleventh familiar…”
Nathan raised his eyebrows before chuckling. “Oh. You don’t have to worry about that. I do have the intention to summon more familiars. I have a maximum number in mind, so you don’t have to worry about the number of my divine familiars.
“This is necessary, especially if we’re going to go against the Outer Gods.”
Iris looked a bit unconvinced.
Nathan sighed before adding, “This is what the others already know, so I guess you should know about it as well. I had a precognitive dream. An army that consisted of a thousand elite class aliens would come to this world and annihilate us.
“That’s why we still need more allies. If you are worried about me not having enough cores to continue, you don’t have to. Right now, my absorption rate is not 10% anymore. My absorption rate is close to 100%.
“So, absorbing an alpha class core will definitely get me more than ten million if we follow the energy scaling. We haven’t tested how much energy this core possesses, so we don’t know anything yet.
“Still, not only the alpha class cores, but there will also be mutant or even apex class cores in the future, not to mention the possibility of the Ancient Ones or the Outer Gods giving us cores. So, there is definitely no lack of cores to progress.”
“…” Iris finally sighed, knowing she couldn’t say anything else. “I understand. I’ll make sure you’re protected even if it costs me my life.”
“You are talking about some heavy stuff.” Nathan chuckled before flicking her forehead. “No masters like to have their disciples die before them. And I’m planning to die of old age, so you’d better be the same.”
Iris nodded furiously.
Nathan smiled. “All right then. Go on.”
“Yes, Master.”
Once Iris left, Nathan’s gaze shifted to the summoning circle. The time to summon his next familiar had arrived.
