Synthetic Wizard - Chapter 408 - 242: Plane Community (Part 2)

Countless slender rays of light emanated from the book, intertwining to form Lize’s silhouette.
“Lord Xingyun!”
The wizards present all stood up to pay their respects, their expressions reflecting respect.
Although Lize was merely a ghost, in life she had been a Level 2 Wizard and was highly regarded and trusted by Lord Sunan. In the entire Star Alliance, she was seemingly second only to one, making her a figure none of the wizards dared to slight.
“Please sit down, everyone.”
Lize took a seat at the head of the table and raised her hand slightly.
Once everyone had sat down again, she began to speak slowly.
“The reason I’ve called you all here today is to discuss something with you.”
The wizards present were curious upon hearing this; what matter required such a grand gathering, calling together all of the Star Alliance’s wizards?
“Based on my observations with Sunan, the time when the dimensional barriers will be fully restored is imminent, approximately 150 years from now, around the year 2000 in the Starlight Calendar, when the dimensional lock on Starlight Continent will be lifted.”
With her words, everyone’s faces lit up with delight.
They were eager for the Starlight Continent to return to normal as soon as possible, so they could resume their usual training.
Moreover, the Starlight Continent could then conduct transactions with other planes, gaining more resources, which would greatly benefit the enhancement of their powers.
Among them, only those old and wise like Fakado remained calm.
If it was just about this matter, Lord Xingyun didn’t need to summon everyone. Surely there was more to this.
As expected, Lize’s expression turned serious as she spoke solemnly:
“Don’t get too excited yet, everyone. While the lifting of the dimensional lock is indeed a good thing, it also brings danger.”
Everyone was stunned, and someone instinctively asked, “What danger?”
Lize replied indifferently: “External invasion.”
This statement left everyone staring at each other blankly, feeling a bit lost.
“I believe you’re all aware of the wizards’ expeditions into the multiverse a thousand years ago. If the dimensional barriers are restored and the Starlight Continent returns to normal, do you think those wizards wouldn’t want to regain control over Starlight Continent?”
Lize’s words cast a heavy, oppressive atmosphere over the room.
Fakado asked gravely, “Lord Xingyun, have you received any intelligence?”
Giving him a glance of appreciation, Lize nodded slightly and said, “There is definite intelligence indicating that two multiverse wizard forces, the [Dark Throne] and [Withered Wood Council], are eyeing Starlight Continent. Especially the [Dark Throne], they have long been prepared, just waiting for the dimensional barriers to be restored before they invade Starlight Continent.”
To add weight to her words, Lize added another sentence.
“These are all intelligence gathered by Sunan.”
Sunan’s prestige in the Star Alliance was unmatched. Hearing that Sunan mentioned it, no one doubted anymore, and all frowned deeply.
Although they had never left Starlight Continent, they knew from the historical records left by wizards a thousand years ago that the vast multiverse harbored more than one wizard force, most of which were much stronger than the Star Alliance.
Suddenly learning they might face these wizard forces in the future made them anxious.
“Lord Xingyun, at what level do the [Withered Wood Council] and [Dark Throne] stand within the multiverse wizard forces?”
“[Dark Throne] is a first-class wizard force, their overall power comfortably ranking within the top ten among wizard forces. [Withered Wood Council] is slightly weaker but still ranks among the second class.”
“And what level do we, the Star Alliance, stand at?” a wizard asked curiously.
“Barely within the third class,” Lize said indifferently.
She did not hide anything, as this was a decision made after discussing with Sunan.
The wizards present would eventually learn about the situation in the multiverse, and hiding it had no meaning; it would only create distrust.
It’s better to speak truthfully, letting them have psychological preparation in advance.
With Sunan’s ascension to a Level 2 Wizard, the Star Alliance had actually met the minimum standards for being a qualified wizard force.
In terms of overall strength, it could be considered the top tier among non-mainstream wizard forces, barely reaching the edge of third-class.
Compared to the former Starfall Association, it only lacked having a Level 3 Wizard and had too few Level 2 Wizards, leading to insufficient top combat power.
Nonetheless, compared to Withered Wood Council and Dark Throne, they were still far behind.
Upon hearing Lize’s words, everyone grew even more grave.
This meant they virtually had no chance of winning?
Observing everyone’s changing expressions, Lize calmly said:
“You need not worry. Before the dimensional barriers are fully restored, the [Dark Throne] cannot dispatch many people to invade Starlight Continent, making it easy to handle.”
“As for after the dimensional barriers have been fully restored, we can trade with other wizard forces, exchanging resources for protection. There are plenty of wizard forces in the multiverse who have grievances with [Dark Throne] and would be willing to trade with us.”
Upon hearing this, everyone breathed a huge sigh of relief.
As long as there wasn’t nothing that could be done, being at someone’s mercy would suffice.
“In short, I hope everyone prepares well.”
“The entire Starlight Continent will undergo vast change in the future, whether this change is a disaster or an opportunity depends on you.”
Everyone sobered up and nodded in agreement.
After the wizards left, Attila emerged from a side room, with a worried expression.
“Lord Xingyun, is it okay to be so open?”
Lize said indifferently: “There’s no point in hiding it; better to let them get ready early, so they don’t panic when it actually happens.”
“Furthermore, some people’s training has been a bit lax recently, it’s a good chance to reignite their motivation.”
Hearing this, Attila nodded thoughtfully without saying more.
Lize asked, “Where’s Tanner now?”
“He went to the Rainbow Sea,” Attila replied.
Lize nodded knowingly.
Recently, she made a deal with Tanner, trading puppets and construction potions for more than a dozen Frost Ghost Stones and a lot of practical intelligence from him.
As expected of an adventurous journeyman sorcerer, Tanner was deeply knowledgeable about the multiverse’s numerous plane communities and knew many hidden plane communities’ precious intelligence that even Sunan admired after seeing.
Lize was now contemplating how to extract more valuable intelligence from Tanner.
Such as the coordinates of some still-unified plane communities!
A plane community refers to an area composed of one or several main planes and numerous secondary planes.
Main planes, compared to secondary planes, have more complete dimensional rules, higher concentrations of energy particles, and richer resources.
On the dimensional hierarchy level, they have an implicit suppressive effect on other secondary planes.
Consequently, within a plane community, various forces or intelligent races often wage wars over control of the main plane.
Once the main plane is under control, the secondary planes become within easy reach.
Thus, wars between plane communities often focus on conquering each other’s main plane as the primary target.
In fact, the multiverse is composed of numerous plane communities and a few stand-alone planes.
For instance, Starlight Continent does not belong to a plane community but is a stand-alone plane.
Large wizard forces like Deep Blue League and Wisdom Code control at least one plane community.
If the Star Alliance wishes to develop into a large wizard force, just having a single Starlight Continent is far from enough. It will inevitably need to conquer a plane community in the future.
With forethought, Lize plans to first obtain several plane community coordinates from Tanner, so when the Star Alliance gains sufficient strength in the future, they can locate those plane communities based on coordinates and launch conquest wars.
With construction potions at hand, she need not worry about Tanner refusing to trade.
After all, plane community coordinates mean little to him as a journeyman sorcerer; exchanging them for resources is more practical.
