This time around, Simon was very interested in finding out just who this Mad Scientist was.

His techniques were unlike anything he had ever heard of before, and he wanted to see if he could find any other book that was written by him or her.

He searched the books on the shelves one by one, making sure to check the author names.

’If I’m lucky, I might be able to find a mental cultivation technique.’

Unfortunately for Simon, he found no other book of the Mad Scientist on the shelf or on any other shelf in the mental techniques section of the library.

He was a bit disappointed, but he didn’t think too much about it.

However, what he was disappointed about was the fact that he couldn’t find a cultivation technique he considered good enough for him to use.

Compared to offensive and defensive mental techniques, mental cultivation techniques were fewer because the mind path was a dangerous and delicate path to take, and because there was no ranking for it.

So, Simon was not surprised that none of the mental cultivation techniques were not up to his standard.

’Let me try and look for information on the Mad Scientist.’

After having this thought, he turned and walked toward Ari.

He could not search blindly for books containing information about the Mad Scientist, who knew when and if he’d ever find a book containing such information.

The Initiate that was placed under an illusion looked at Simon as he left, but he didn’t follow Simon.

He turned and walked in another direction, completely believing that he had done his job of seeing what books Simon picked.

Only if he knew that all he saw was an illusion.

Meanwhile, Simon eventually got to Ari, and she was a little bit surprised when she saw him.

“You’re done already? You usually spend longer.” She asked while resting the side of her head on her fist.

“Not really. I just have a few questions.” He asked calmly.

Ari raised a brow, then she smiled “I have a break in the next hour. If you can wait, then I’m all yours by then. And if you can’t, I’ll make time for you, baby boy.”

Simon’s lips could not help but twitch.

For some reason, it seemed today was a sex theme day.

He released a sigh, then he spoke with the same calm tone.

“I’m not here for that.”

Ari clicked her tongue in disappointment. “What a pity. You’re really missing out.”

Simon rolled his eyes, but this time around, he didn’t respond to her words.

He changed the topic.

“Firstly, how much is it to rent these four books?”

He placed the books of the Eternal Mind Maze, Eternal Mind Zoo, Mind Spear, and Mind Wave.

Ari raised a brow when she saw these four books, and she could not help but give Simon a strange look.

“Mental techniques? You’re a strange one. Very few demons actually come here for mental techniques, but here you are, with four books nonetheless.”

She nonchalantly picked the first book which was Mind Spear.

“Oh. A basic offensive mental technique. Not surprised I guess.”

She picked up the Mind Wave book, glanced at it, then she threw it on the table with a nonchalant hiss.

“Useless.”

Simon glanced at the book, then he looked at her with a slight tilt of the head.

She looked at him with a smile behind her mask.

“Baby boy, in case you don’t know, purple succubi are very good at mental techniques. If you want, I can teach you a few techniques that are more powerful than these trash you’re currently renting.”

She looked at the Mind Spear and Mind Wave technique with disdain before shifting her gaze back to Simon.

“If you want, I can even give you a technique that would make women crawl on their knees for you.”

She licked her lips, then she moved her face dangerously close to Simon.

“Do you want me to crawl and be submissive…” she placed her lips close to his right ear and whispered. “… daddy?”

Simon’s right eye twitched, and he felt a mixture of lust and irritation as he felt a change in his mind.

’She’s using an ability of the succubus, and because of the close proximity, it’s more effective and it’s nearly affecting my mind.’

His gaze became frigid cold, then his hand moved like a snake as he held her neck and moved her away from his face.

He tightened his grip around her neck, hoping to successfully threaten her.

She tried to grab it, but his reflexes were sharper than hers.

There was a tense and very uncomfortable silence between Simon and Ari.

Simon had a completely frustrated and annoyed expression.

Ari had her eyes filled with lust and desire as she stared at Simon.

’The one time I want peace, I can’t have it.’

A few seconds later, he closed his eyes and released a deep sigh.

Then he pointed at the books of the Eternal Mind Maze and the Eternal Mind Zoo.

“I came here for a reason. Tell me how much it is to rent the four books.”

Ari did not remove her gaze from Simon for nearly ten seconds.

“The more you resist, the more I want you.” She said with a sultry tone.

Simon’s lips twitched, but he said nothing.

She inhaled deeply, then she finally looked at the two books.

At first, she was nonchalant about it and barely looked at it.

However, the moment she saw the titles and the name of the author, her gaze and expression changed.

Simon noticed this, and he narrowed his eyes at her response.
