The dragon's harem - Chapter 1966: A Close Call

Chapter 1966: A Close Call
Camilla sat in the corner of the cold bath, crying as her entire body was now rosy pink. Whatever that spell was, it hurt like a slap from Dalla, and she would never ask for it ever again. Even getting stabbed was less painful than having every single hair on her body pulled off all at once, in a cold bath at that.
Gamond stared at her with a smile, and the maids by Camilla’s side were already a bit worried. They saw Gamond use that spell before on Ganta, and that woman didn’t even flinch. Does it really hurt that much?
“See? As smooth as a baby.” Gamond smiled, “Don’t worry, it gets less painful each time. Or the stronger you are.” She leaned back and then looked toward the showers’ door. “But look, we’ve got company.”
The door opened up, and Arad walked in looking like a moving mountain, a castle of bricks and boulders. The moment he stepped inside, the very air of the bath shifted and became a bit hotter, and one thing was clear to Camilla’s eyes.
That was her progenitor werewolf, and he indeed looked the part. Just his arm was wider than her hips, and compared to him, she looked like a halfling. That was the body of someone who could punch an archon in the guts and send her flying, and tank hits that should tear a whole world apart. He might not be a god, but he pertinently got the body of one.
And of course, Arad wasn’t alone. Behind him, Kali walked in her demonic form, and just looking at her was enough to put a pause on Camilla’s mind. That tall and toned body, that radiant blue skin, red palms and soles, beautiful face that even made women blush, and those radiant, ruby eyes of hers that spelled danger.
That was a real divine body, perfect from head to toes, and the countless jewellery Kali wore only made her look better. The rings, bracelets, anklets, piercings, necklaces, she even got a nose ring on one side, and her entire existence burned with enough divine magic that Camilla could tell at a glance, this was a far stronger goddess than Mira.
Then, another beauty walked in, but this time, she smelled of blood and death. Eris’s pale skin, glowing eyes, silky hair, and divinely beautiful body were as blinding as the sun itself, and what made the situation even wore was that she was already trying to carry herself like Amaterasu, moving with a sense of pride and dominating divine presence, that Camilla almost wanted to wag her tail for her.
If that was all, Camilla would’ve been fine, but the moment she looked behind them, she saw three disgustingly beautiful archons walking in, and what’s more, the sky ladies were sheepishly trying to hide their alluring bodies while trotting behind, looking like newlywed maidens.
By the radiant heavens, where is Arad finding all of those? She only came here and joined the harem recently, so she was still getting shocked learning and seeing the women Arad, their emperor, had managed to score.
She had to run it back in her head for a moment, when she heard that Arad had married Kali, and the Kali she knew was a little girl, she was getting a bit worried. But then she hears that the real Kali was a demon, a horrifying being that shouldn’t walk the earth, and that little girl’s body was just the avatar of the divine portfolio of orphans, it turned Kali into a human orphan girl. If anyone else got that power, they would assume that form to use it, the same way a god of fire can turn into a sea of flames.
For a while, she expected Kali to be a scary demon with horns, looking utterly inhuman and demonic, the only reason Arad got her was her power. She had even heard that Kali was at Amaterasu’s level of power, which was already terrifying. But there was the case of Amaterasu herself, looking divine but acting like a giga strumpet, so she was a bit confused at what Arad saw… But now, she had finally seen the real deal.
“ARAD! How are you doing?!” Gamond called to them, and Arad looked at her with a smile. “You’re also back? Or did you come here just to wait for me?”
She smiled, “Well, a bit of both.” She then stood, grabbed Camilla by the arm, and dragged her out of the cold water as they headed toward Arad. “You look exhausted.” She approached him, sniffed his chest, and gave it a lick. “Torn muscles, cracked bones, and even a severe lack of mana.”
Arad smiled, “Well, I trained a bit with Kali and her archons.” He pointed back at Eris with his thumb, “I’m going to fight her soon after all, and while she is divine, I am not.”
Gamond looked at him and back at Eris. “Well, I can’t say that I don’t understand. We’re both dragons, so I can see how she wants to test her strength against you.” She approached Eris and stared at her face. “But something is off, she doesn’t want to just fight you, she wants a fight to the death.”
She grabbed her by the neck, “Say, want me to discipline her for you?”
Eris smiled. “You’ve already lost to me before. I’m the drakaina of this pride.” She ran her fingers across Gamond’s side and then gripped her side, almost cracking her ribs. “I eat first; you wait.”
When the two looked like they were about to start a fight, a third troublemaker walked in and grabbed them both by the head. Diana, one of Kali’s strongest archons, was a few steps behind them as she took a bit longer in the shower.
It was then that both Eris and Gamond could sense how terrifying archons could be. Looking at this three-meter-tall buff curvy woman glaring down at them was terrifying. Eris knew she was outmatched as Diana, albeit being an archon, still had almost three times the divine magic as her, and she was getting that straight from Kali’s destruction and demonic nature.
This was an archon that could ragdoll and bully gods.
Gamond wasn’t having it any better. The moment Diana laid a hand on her, Gamond could sense the savagery and brutality of Diana’s demonic heritage. Even though she looked divine, this woman was as vile, arrogant, destructive, and unhinged as dragons get, and she won’t would absolutely give her a beating.
As the two felt Diana’s threat, they both retreated their hands, and the tension between them quickly faded away. Seeing them like that, Diana smiled and pulled them both into a tight hug, “Ahh, it feels nice. A hot and a cold one.”
Arad looked at them with a smile and then approached the one who didn’t say a word, Camilla. The poor girl was stunned, looking like a dead statue, with her gaze fixed on Arad’s flesh. Only when he called her did she notice that he approached, and she quickly jumped back and gave him a bow.
“Lord Arad!” She gasped, but in the next moment, found herself in his arms. She couldn’t even see him move or feel him grab her until it was later. “Arad is enough, I keep saying that even the maids don’t need to address me here with anything special.”
The two maids who were with her in the bath approached and looked at him with a smile. “But we love calling you master Arad. It feels more fitting.”
