The First Legendary Beast Master - Chapter 1739 Not In The Library

Chapter 1739 Not In The Library
The moment that Opal appeared, she activated her Illusionary Domain, and then placed the whole thing inside a [Pet Space] pocket dimension.
The warriors felt themselves being shifted, but as the Illusion matched perfectly to the Library, they couldn’t tell what had changed in time to try to stop Opal. So, while they realized that something had changed around them, none of them realized that they were no longer in the Library at all, and were actually in a separate space completely controlled by Opal.
Ghostly voices howled from the shelves, and pinpricks of red light appeared in the shadows as the lights in the room began to dim.
“Shit. Necromancer,” one of the warriors cursed, as he moved to protect the rear flanks of his group from ambush.
None of them could spot the Necromancer. They could sense the Lycan, the old man and the snake. But everyone else was hidden from their senses.
But there had to be someone else here.
The Golem Mistress hadn’t created the ghouls in the library, but they could feel the chill in their bones as the creatures tried to suck away their life essence.
Opal was using [Soul Harvest] on all hostile targets within the space, but because they hadn’t realized that they were in a separate space yet, they thought that it was the ghosts.
Dana had already realized what the former butterfly was doing, but she was holding position, waiting for the warriors to do something.
The longer that she delayed, the more that they were losing to the effects of [Soul Harvest], and the more gain that Opal, or perhaps Opal and Karl, would get from the fight.
“Screw this. Grab her and let’s go. This place is creeping me out.”
The warrior shuddered as he could have sworn that he felt a fingernail trace its way up his neck.
And then his head separated from his body as Rae turned corporeal.
“I am deeply disappointed in you as a friend. You didn’t even call me.”
Dana smiled. “I knew you’d be here when you were ready.”
The casual conversation snapped the surviving warriors out of their frozen stupor, and a volley of skills launched at Rae, who simply wasn’t there anymore by the time that they landed.
Shadow Step was faster than their attack skills, and she had turned incorporeal with [Night Haunter] again.
But Rae wasn’t in a hurry.
There were more than enough idiots to go around, and Sister Opal had big plans for them. Not counting what was about to happen to them as Dana’s bear realized that these were actual bad guys, not just clowns.
The Spirit Bear Tyrant was figuring it out quickly, even without a direct order from Dana.
She had shrunk it down to the point that it looked harmless to the warriors. But that didn’t change its stats, and a full-strength Spirit Bear Tyrant in a 100kg body could move far faster than anyone expected.
The bear slammed into the lead warrior, who slammed his blade into it, using [Sunder] to attempt to split the furry golem in half.
Only, nothing happened.
The Spirit Bear was immune to physical element damage, and simply shrugged it off after being knocked to the ground.
Dana gave the warriors a cruel smile as she motioned for the Oathbreakers to move forward, and then drew her sword as she shifted the Spirit Bear back to full size.
“Oh, we’re going to have so much fun,” Oathbreaker laughed as he twirled all four swords in his hands.
“They’re just Golems. They only look intimidating. We’ve got this,” the leader of the group assured his minions.
“You don’t. You really, really don’t.” Oathbreaker informed him.
Then, the demons attacked, going all out against the warriors, who were ostensibly a sub-rank higher than they were, but who were mere warriors, and not Epic Grade summons on par with a lesser dungeon boss.
At least in durability.
Most actual dungeon bosses couldn’t output the amount of pure damage that Oathbreaker did, and if he was as durable as someone like Carnage, it would be a completely unbalanced situation.
Like it was right now, with [Void Body] granting them [Limited Invulnerability] and [Void Regeneration].
One of the warriors broke free of the four constructs, and came straight for Dana.
Rae shifted to stand nearby, but she would let the Dana Mage get in a few good hits before she stepped in. Dana clearly wanted to beat the stupid out of them, while she was much happier to just work on her attempts at making a living lawn sprinkler.
She was pretty sure that she knew the right size of holes to punch in them now. Dana activated [Warbeast], granting herself an Epic Grade constitution, as well as a fully furred form.
Behind the shelves, the Lycan whistled softly to himself in appreciation.
That was a whole lot of woman, right there.
He might be a happily married man, with multiple children. But he could still appreciate the fine things in life. And a Divine Fox with an Epic constitution was as good as an art exhibit in his mind.
[Auto Parry] made short work of the warrior’s attempt to capture her, and Dana activated one of her less used blade skills, just to show off a little.
It was from a few progressions ago, a skill called [Falling Plum Blossom Petals]. Ostentatious in both name and appearance, it filled the air in front of her with a wave of sword energy that left a trail of pink petals in its wake.
First, the wave hit, driving the warrior back as he parried.
Then, the petals rushed forward on a wave of wind, slicing him with a thousand
tiny wounds.
Rae smiled as she saw the display. Perhaps there was hope for the Dana Mage’s fighting style after all. That skill was absolutely glorious for turning warriors
into blood fountains.
The other four weren’t faring much better.
The Epic Guard was too fast for her opponent to get around her and reinforce the others. But none of the others could solo any of their opponents.
The Spirit Bear had already crushed his opponent, while the warriors fighting Oathbreaker were looking smaller than she remembered.
The Demons had broken both of their legs so that they had to hobble around
on the stumps to fight.
“I think they’ve learned their lesson. Haven’t you, gentlemen?” She asked.
The surviving warriors nodded rapidly.
“Yes, yes, we’ve learned our lesson. Forgive us,”
Dana gave them a gentle smile. “Of course. As they say, forgiveness is Divine,
and I am a Divine Fox.”
The men looked relieved for a half second before Dana continued.
“That’s why it will be Lady Rae sending you to your maker. I have work to do.”
