Chapter 433: Knowledge Network.

Even though he doesn’t have rank 5 Branch Metacs and his body is very weak, he dares to flip this shop upside down just because he has the Power Core Stat and because the Power Core Stat is at 900 units.

As he thought of this, he chuckled and said, “I can even flip the entire city, much less some random shop in the city.”

As he spoke, he grabbed the notebook from the hand of the corpse of the attendant. Then he searched her body for the pen, which he took and prepared to use to write in the book.

But before he could write, the other side wrote in the book, saying, “Honored guest, why have you sought me out?”

Loki replied, saying, “I just want to have a heart-to-heart conversation with you.”

The other side said, “You are funny. Anyway, I won’t meet with you. If you have something to say, say it now.”

Loki said, “How is it that a seer of your rank is messing around in the territory of the Four Directions Sect. I wonder what the sect will think of you if they find out about you.”

Writings appeared in the book saying, “Believe it or not, I have broken no rules of the Four Directions Sect. I should know because I am an inner disciple of the Four Directions Sect.”

Loki shook his head as he wrote, saying, “Is that so? Why don’t I believe you?”

He didn’t actually doubt this person. He was just asking questions to sniff out more information from them while he did something in the background.

The other side didn’t seem to notice what he was doing. They said, “The fact that I awakened the Core Metac of the Nexus of Truth Sect doesn’t make me a spy of the Nexus of Truth Sect in the territory of the Four Directions Sect.”

Then they said with impatience, “If all that you’ve come for is to create trouble, then you should get on with it. But if what you want is important and secret information, I believe that we can come to an arrangement. So what will it be?”

Loki smiled as he wrote, saying, “Thank you for permission. I won’t be polite then.”

As he spoke, his mind had already made contact with the mind of another attendant through the Mind Network Metac. He found the mind to be normal except for one little thing.

The mind of the attendant was a lake covered with white fog. The lake was calm with occasional ripples and gentle waves moving through its surface. This is what a normal mind should look like.

But there is something that is out of place in this serene arrangement. This thing is the large tree that had been planted in the lake.

The tree has its roots spread throughout the lake and the floor of the lake. The tree also doesn’t have any branches. It is just one trunk that ends with a large fruit on top of it.

Only a small part of the tree is actually above the surface of the lake. This is the part with the large yellow fruit on it. But the large fruit is an eye, not something that can be eaten.

The large eye at the top of the tree makes the entire tree look like an eyeball with its nerve endings. The nerve endings are the tree trunk and its roots. So the eye has taken root in this attendant’s mind, and its nerve endings have spread throughout the mind.

When Loki saw this, he whistled appreciatively before saying, “So this is the Knowledge Network Life Ability. It is truly as insidious as its reputation makes it out to be.”

This eye is the manifestation of the Knowledge Network Life Ability. It is why this attendant possesses a third eye, even though he is not a seer.

The truth is that this eye and the third eye of every attendant in this shop belong to one person. So it can be said that all of these attendants are only borrowing the third eye.

Unfortunately for them, things are not so simple. Once the third eye has taken root in their minds, there is no going back.

Not only is there no way to remove the eye without damaging the mind, but the mind has already been changed by the eye. In a way, the eye is a parasite, and all of these attendants have been parasitized.

As Loki was thinking about this, the eye was scanning its environment. It was turning left and right, looking for invaders. Since it was about to turn in his direction, he decided to make a move.

He extended the mental thread of the Mind Network Metac into the eye and traced its mental connection back to its source. What he found on the other side was a Mental World.

He had appeared within the Mental World of another person, but instead of being afraid, he smiled and said, “Jackpot.”

As long as what he was dealing with was a Mental World, not a Cave Heaven, he felt that he had nothing to worry about. So he prepared to get to work.

Unfortunately, the owner of the Mental World had discovered his intrusion at this point. The owner immediately moved to send him out.

The rank 5 seer didn’t fight him head-on, but instead cut off the eye in the mind of the attendant that he used to gain access to their Mental World. Without a channel to connect to the Mental World, his connection was severed.

This worked, but only for a while. Loki was soon back because he had already infiltrated the mind of another attendant and was using it to connect to the Mental World again.

As soon as he gained access to the Mental World, he activated the Mind Node Metac and began constructing a Mind Node in the Mental World. This way, he won’t need the minds of the attendants to connect to the Mental World.
