Ling Ruonan’s words still left Luo Ziling a bit shocked.

“Why does it feel a little unreal?”

Ling Ruonan chuckled, “Don’t be too optimistic. He just has this idea; everything still depends on your own efforts. He won’t explicitly tell you what to do. Perhaps your Great Grandfather has already changed his attitude toward you and doesn’t want to suppress you anymore. That’s why your grandfather is treating you better.”

“I understand!”

The mother and son didn’t say much on the way back in the car, and only talked about matters when they got home and went to the study.

They discussed the events of the night, including Ling Mingrui’s words to them.

After the discussion, Ling Ruonan commented with some emotion: “My dad should be quite pleased with our achievements now. You’ve always gained the upper hand in fighting against those people, and your accomplishments have amazed many. That’s why your grandfather is treating you even better. In the future, as long as you achieve more, your grandfather will give you more benefits. But the premise is, you must not let him feel threatened by you or the Ling Family.”

“Mom, I understand this point!” Luo Ziling nodded, “Remind me if I don’t do well then.”

Ling Ruonan nodded.

Ultimately, she didn’t discuss other matters with Luo Ziling, using the excuse of needing a bath to head upstairs first.

“In the next few days, you must determine where Chen Ruchang resides, what illness he has, and how to infiltrate his hospital room.” Luo Ziling instructed seriously, “We must have a plan before we leave Yanjing.”

Wuyue hesitated for a moment and asked Luo Ziling softly, “Should we call Wang Zhenjun and Yang Xiaodong over to discuss this together?”

After thinking, Luo Ziling shook his head gently: “Let’s come up with a general plan first and then call them both over to discuss it!”

“Young master, are we really going to act?” Wuyue asked with some uncertainty.

If Chen Ruchang were to be killed, it would be such a monumental matter that she wouldn’t be able to bear it.

Although Luo Ziling had mentioned this matter several times before, Wuyue was still skeptical about whether he would really do it.

Faced with the reality, she was naturally hesitant and worried.

Wuyue rolled her eyes and fell silent.

“How about this, first complete the tasks I just mentioned over the next couple of days. Once we have a chance to slip into the area where he’s staying, we’ll discuss the specific action plan.” Knowing Wuyue had concerns, Luo Ziling adapted his approach, “Perhaps I’ll need to handle this personally.”

Wuyue was startled and quickly shook her head: “No, young master, you can’t personally do such a thing. When the time comes, I’ll act personally—I will surely find a chance.”

“You should think this through first and then formulate an action plan.” Seeing Wuyue no longer her composed self, Luo Ziling solemnly reminded, “If this fails, or plans leak, we won’t have a place to be buried. Understand? So, caution is paramount. The Chen Family has tried to kill me several times; Chen Ruchang even wishes to tear me apart. I feel I haven’t offended him, yet he’s fixated on dealing with me. Well, I’ll deal with him just the same, to see who comes out on top.”

At this point, Luo Ziling solemnly warned Wuyue: “I hope you won’t betray the trust my mom and I have placed in you. You know enough secrets already; you must avoid mistakes.”

Luo Ziling’s remarks shocked Wuyue, and she eventually nodded faintly: “Young master, I understand!”

Luo Ziling didn’t keep Wuyue by his side and sent her off to work on the matter immediately.

After Wuyue left, Luo Ziling called Wang Zhenjun over alone.

He told Wang Zhenjun about Chen Ruchang and reiterated his decision.

Compared to Wuyue, Wang Zhenjun appeared much calmer, showing no surprise or reaction as he listened to Luo Ziling’s arrangements. He agreed readily, promising to cooperate with Wuyue to figure out Chen Ruchang’s situation as best as he could.

Luo Ziling reiterated the tasks he wanted them to accomplish during the summer vacation.

The plan to teach Lin Zhengdong and Fang Dongming a lesson was aimed to be executed when he left Yanjing, heading to the Northwest.

Their petty actions displeased Luo Ziling greatly; he felt compelled to retaliate.

Hence, he instructed Wuyue to go to the Northwest with them first and then return secretly to plan the operation.

Wang Zhenjun and Yang Xiaodong naturally had to follow Wuyue’s lead in action.

Wang Zhenjun solemnly expressed that he would ensure no mistakes and success would follow.
