Timeless Assassin - Chapter 1113 Future Plans

Chapter 1113 Future Plans
(Planet Satoru, Central Command Ship, Just Outside Planet Satoru, Leo’s POV)
Leo sat across from Veyr inside the Cult Command Ship, a glass of alcohol resting lightly in his hand as the two Demi Gods shared a moment of peace and clarity.
The room itself was dimly lit, its large viewing panels displaying the vast expanse of space beyond, as far in the distance, Cult ships continued to arrive in steady intervals, reinforcing their newly established stronghold.
Veyr took a slow sip from his glass before leaning back slightly in his seat, his eyes carrying a calm satisfaction as he studied Leo’s expression.
“So… what do you think happens next, Cuz?” Veyr asked, his tone casual, as he did not seem too bothered about the answer.
However, contrary to his casualness, Leo really thought deeply about the question, as he took a while to respond.
“For now….. The two of us need to stay here on Satoru,” he said finally, his voice steady as he made eye contact with Veyr.
“If my assumptions are correct, the Righteous Faction will not forget what happened here anytime soon….”
“They will send someone to probe the depth of our strength.
And to see, if one of us has truly broken through to Demi God…”
Leo said, as Veyr’s lips curled faintly at that, his interest clearly piqued as he listened.
“For now, I’m hoping they’re foolish enough to send someone
important to do the probe, someone important like a Clan Patriarch or his son….” Leo added, a faint edge slipping into his voice now.
“Because if we kill him then….
Then the Great Clans will be forced into action, bringing us the right kind of attention.”
He said, as he paused to take a sip of his drink.
*Sip*
“We need to look strong enough to be considered a threat, but not so overwhelmingly strong that even a God would think twice before facing us….”
“As what we want to achieve is making them curious… not terrified,” he finished, as a faint smile formed at the corner of his lips.
Veyr chuckled softly at that, clearly enjoying the thought process behind it.
“And what happens when curiosity turns into escalation?” he asked, his tone carrying a hint of anticipation now, as Leo held his gaze for a moment longer before answering.
“If my understanding is correct…” he said slowly, his voice dropping just enough to carry weight, “then in the coming months, you and I are going to face a God in battle.”
For a brief moment, silence followed those words.
Then Veyr smiled.
A deep, genuine smile that carried both excitement and hunger.
“Well…” he said, raising his glass slightly, “I’ll drink to that.”
He leaned forward just enough, his eyes gleaming faintly as he spoke again.
“If a God does come to Satoru,” Veyr added, his tone turning sharp, “then I assure you… the two of us will bury him here!”
He reassured, as Leo’s expression did not change much, and yet the faint lift of his glass was enough to acknowledge the statement.
“I’ll hold you to that,” Leo replied calmly, as the two clinked their glasses lightly before taking a measured sip.
A quiet moment passed between them after that, before Leo set his glass down and shifted his attention toward the three figures standing silently at the edge of the room.
“Chaosbringer had already accounted for a situation like this before he died,” Leo said, his tone more serious now as he gestured toward them.
“Shadow Number One,” he called, his gaze settling on the fox-beast human who stood slightly ahead of the others. “Explain his plan.”
At once, Shadow Number One stepped forward and bowed deeply,
his posture respectful as he prepared to speak.
“My Lord,” he began, his voice calm and measured as he lifted his head slightly.
“Before his passing, Lord Chaosbringer conducted an extensive review of the Cult’s historical archives, focusing specifically on periods where the Cult faced enemies far beyond its immediate strength,” he continued, as his words carried a quiet clarity.
“One such period dates back to the era of the Beast Gods, when they terrorized the universe while Lord Timeless Assassin was still only at the Demi God stage,” he explained, as Veyr’s expression sharpened slightly at the mention of the Timeless Assassin.
“At that time, direct confrontation against the Beast Gods was not an option, as the difference in power was too great,” Shadow Number One went on, his tone steady.
“And so, Lord Timeless Assassin devised a method to bridge that gap.”
Leo’s gaze remained fixed on him, while Veyr leaned forward slightly, now fully invested in this story.
“The Chakravyuh Formation,” Shadow Number One said, his voice lowering just enough to emphasize the significance of the name.
“As you already know, the Chakravyuh is designed to neutralize a God’s greatest advantage, which is their access to the fourth dimension.
And in its original form, it only requires four Demi Gods at its core, supported by sixteen Monarchs, sixty four Transcendents, and two hundred and fifty six lower-tier warriors forming the outer layers, all contributing their energy to sustain the formation….”
He explained, as Veyr nodded in understanding.
“So, if the confrontation happens after the Cult has at least four Demi Gods and sixteen Monarchs available, we can make it a fight where
victory is guaranteed.
However, if it happens before then, then I guess, the two of you are all
we can rely on….”
He finished, as Leo let out a deep sigh at those words.
*Sigh*
“The Cult can’t rely on the two of us forever Veyr.
If we want to aim for universal domination, then we need more deterrence than just the two of us.
And the ability to use the Chakravyuh gives us just that.
My long term vision is to reach that point within the next ten years.
While the short term goal is to dominate the universe until that day
comes.”
Leo shared, as Veyr nodded in understanding to those words.
What Leo said made perfect sense to him, and he could see it becoming a reality someday.
“Well, that day will come when it comes, but till then, I hope the two of us can have epic adventures…..
Starting with slaying a God!”
He said, before finishing his drink, as he slammed his glass on the
table and looked towards Leo predatorily, who followed in suit and
did the same.
*SLAM*
*SLAM*
“Amen to that, brother….. even I can’t wait to bury one of these sons
of bitches so that the universe understands that we are here for
vengeance.”
Leo said, as he too showed his eagerness for that fight.
