Grey nodded to himself. ’Not bad, not bad.’
He nodded.
This crack pipe was very useful. All he had done was stuff a bunch of solar, wind, metal, and magnetism related herbs into it and lit it up.
Was he a bit lightheaded? Maybe. But that was a problem for another day. These abilities were all super cool, cooler than even his Vampire Lord Ability.
Helion Body was like a replacement of Metal Body. The sun was just a big molten ball of compressed metal by the time you got to its core anyway, the difference wasn’t all that much.
This time, rather than feeding on just metal alone, he could use that metal as the core of his own personal fusion center. Not only was he strong and sturdy, but if he activated it, well…
Grey certainly wouldn’t want to be near himself if that happened.
Solarbrand was the Body Combat Ability that would make use of his Helion Body the most actively. Using the metal he had absorbed to build himself, he could concentrate solar radiation in certain parts of his body to explosively increase his close combat strength.
At that point, you definitely wouldn’t want to touch him.
His Body Enhancement, Solar Regeneration, could help him heal directly from the sun’s rays. It was a nice tag-along to Hemorrhagic Regeneration that could use his own blood to heal him. Together, he’d be one tough motherfucker to take down.
His Mind Abilities were probably even better, though.
Living Dawn could use the sun to clear his mind not just from status effects, but his own fatigue as well. But the real fun started with Helstorm.
Helstorm allowed him to control a literal storm of magnetism and solar radiation to control metals, attack with scythes of super-heated wind, or just all around shred someone to pieces.
Finally, there was Helion Resonance, his Mind Enhancement. This allowed him to cognitively comprehend and grasp control of the magnetic fields around him. The applications were endless.
For example, he could use his own body as a solar sail and accelerate his movement speed to an insane degree. Or, he could concentrate solar radiation in various segments of his domain to enhance the output of other external abilities. He could even use it in combination with other abilities to make himself as light as a feather and shoot himself off like he was a bullet on a rail gun.
Suddenly, Grey hardly cared about his other Frames. This one was not only created by his lonesome—so definitely extra points there—but it was so fucking cool.
“If I could draw I would have become one hell of a comic book legend, let me tell ya.”
Grey was grinning ear to ear, so lost in his own sauce he barely noticed that Ji was just standing there, looking at him with a blank expression on his face.
When Grey finally did look up, he raised an eyebrow.
“What’s wrong with you, frog man?”
“Nothing at all. Is there anything else you would like my help for?” Barkeep Ji said. “We are running out of time.”
There was a flicker in Grey’s eyes as he came to a realization of what was happening.
It seemed he was right that Ji’s bar basically had a fog around it right now that was hiding a lot of what was happening from the Producers. But clearly there was a time limit to that.
“When can I come next?” Grey asked.
“Tomorrow.” Barkeep Ji said without missing a beat.
Grey nodded. He somehow doubted he would be able to do that. Whatever Instance he was supposed to clear probably wasn’t going to be all that straightforward.
What he had now was going to have to be good enough, though. He didn’t have the time to waste, not with a Bishop probably soon to be hot on his tail.
Grey stood up to leave but then the barkeep stopped him.
“You’re going wearing that?”
Grey’s lip twitched. He did look a bit ridiculous. He was wearing his squire fit with the Chad Suit under his linen shirt, and then the Russian assassin manlet’s robes were draped over it all.
But he knew that Barkeep Ji wasn’t exactly making fun of his drip. It would just be idiotic of him to leave here with all the cash he still had without upgrading his actual treasures. If he was going into battle, he might as well finally do it in style.
“You’re right. I guess my mind was elsewhere.” Grey chuckled. He just really wanted to test out this new Helion Frame. “You said you have up to Epic items here, right? Drip me out, frog man. I want to see the best you’ve got available.”
