Wasteland: I Awakened A Plant System - Chapter 179: Disinfection Room Plan

Inside the territory, after a day of hunting and searching for resources, the four sat at the dining table enjoying dinner.
Today’s harvest was somewhat meager; they hadn’t seen any fish or new resources during their entire afternoon out.
Fortunately, they had captured a sheep alive at the territory, making it the second livestock there.
Vikram put it beside the goat, and now both of them were shouting mayyy, mayyy, and baaa, baaa.
As for food, at this stage, he could only feed the same food, which he was giving to the goat.
Resources like specialized pasture for livestock were still too early for him. He hadn’t even figured out how to grow his own food; digging land specifically to grow pasture for livestock was something he would only do if he were truly bored out of his mind.
After dinner, they returned to their bedrooms, and Vikram brought up the chat.
He hadn’t forgotten to check on the situation at Savage Wolf Shelter.
He opened the chat window with Shalini.
[Vikram: How is it? Nothing major happened at the Shelter, right?]
[Vikram: No one troubles you right]
Although there was some distance between here and Savage Wolf Shelter, it didn’t prevent him from inspecting it.
After all, Savage Wolf Shelter was now considered one of his forces, and he couldn’t be careless.
[Shalini: Nothing major, and the brothers haven’t thought about running, it’s just…]
It seemed she had something difficult to say, stopping halfway through her sentence.
[Vikram: Just what? Don’t dilly-dally, you are also one of mine.]
Hearing this, she blushed, and no longer hesitated.
[Shalini: The members of the Shelter really haven’t thought about running, after all, they have nowhere else to go.]
[Shalini: After your speech, everyone was good, and they were also working diligently.]
[Shalini: But since you have taken half of the food, the food issue started appearing.]
[Vikram: What?]
Shalini told Vikram all the specific details about these members.
Upon hearing this, Vikram also frowned deeply. He didn’t know, that only in few days, the food situation becomes that terrifying.
After some thought, he realized he will give them food, but also told them to fasten the work of farmland. Thinking this, he spoke.
[Vikram: I will give you some foods, but told the members to, do fast work work on creating the farmland. Anything required for this, asked for me.]
Soon he put the foods on trades.
[Shalini: Thank you boss, thank you. I will make sure, that everyone create farmland as soon as fast.]
Hearing this, Vikram nodded, while also sending her a few physique and vitality fruits.
Since is managing shelter for him, it was okay to he also keeps her happy.
He glanced at the bottom right corner of the Survival Platform; having just finished dinner, there was still some time before bed.
With zombies outside, going out was impossible.
However, some of the territory’s buildings could be worked on now.
Thinking of this he arrived in the territory 2 Area.
This area was now not hidden like his first area, where his gate was.
Here also created the wall and gate as same design as he saw in Cameron Town. He knew, one day, the same way Zombies is arrived here, and for it, he was prepared.
“What was I planning to build here before?” Vikram mused, stroking his chin.
He pulled out his old notebook from his bag; all his ideas for the Territory ’s future construction were recorded there.
In just a few days, many pages of the notebook had been used, filled with his notes.
Projection room, boxing training ground, gym, shooting range, swimming pool, workshop.
These areas were all separately allocated on each page, densely covered with text.
There were even some rather crude illustrations, which proved how much effort he put into building the territory.
Living in the apocalypse, he had no choice but to do so.
These things might not be of much use, but at the very least, they could constantly remind him which buildings were more urgent and which could be postponed.
Turning the pages, illuminated by the desk lamp he took from the corridor, he found the previous construction plan for this hilltop.
“Disinfection room, garage, observation room…” He murmured, looking at the decent handwriting in the notebook.
He immediately dismissed the parking lot option, simply because it was completely unnecessary right now. And he already in Territory 1.
He wouldn’t consider it until there were so many zombies that he needed to modify his vehicle.
Looking at the remaining two options, after much deliberation, he decided to build the disinfection room first.
The observation room and such could be temporarily replaced by the system, so there was no rush.
But the disinfection room was more urgent. With so many zombies outside now, it was possible to bring viruses back to the Shelter.
Although the zombie virus seemed unable to spread through the air, it was still necessary to eliminate some potential hazards in advance.
He immediately scanned the surrounding space, wondering how exactly to set up this disinfection room.
“Since the disinfection room is the first layer of protection for the territory, why not build it directly in this entrance and corridor?”
“This corridor also needs a slight upgrade anyway.”
His gaze swept over the corridor, and the more he looked, the more suitable it seemed.
Not only did it fit perfectly as the first layer of defense, but it also allowed him to upgrade the mechanisms here.
There would definitely be more and more zombies in the future, but currently, the outer defense of the territory was limited to just the wall. What he needed now was to add some counter-attack and purification measures.
Something like automatic defense facilities, similar to arrow towers or autocannons in games.
Without further ado, Vikram summoned the system and scanned the surrounding environment.
“Ding! A crude corridor has been detected. Do you wish to modify and upgrade it?”
“Wait,” Vikram said. “I want to build a semi-automatic disinfection room in this corridor as a buffer zone for my territory. Give me a plan.”
[Data analysis in progress… Analysis complete.]
“If the host wishes to build a fully semi-automatic disinfection room here, it is recommended to purchase the following plants:
First, the Verdant Scanner Plant, an Infection Scanning Plant. A small plant will appear near the entrance of Territory 2. It will scan all incoming individuals for infection, toxins, parasites, and abnormal energy. It can detect the zombie virus, corrupted energy, and unknown pathogens. The threat level will be displayed through vine color changes: Green = Safe, Yellow = Suspicious, Red = Infected.
Any individual showing even slight signs of infection will be automatically redirected into the next chamber.
Second, the Vine Mist Entry Chamber, a Blue-grade controlled entry chamber. It is a sealed chamber covered with soft vines and leaf membranes. Once someone passes the gate, and if infected, they are directed inside before entering the main territory. The chamber automatically locks upon entry and releases a light cleansing mist to suppress surface contamination. It prevents infected individuals from spreading pathogens further inside.
And the infected person will be put inside the Spore Purge Pod.
Third, the Spore Purge Pod, a Purple-grade Virus & Contamination Removal Pod. It is a cocoon-like pod formed from layered plant fibers and glowing spores. The interior is filled with bio-reactive cleansing particles that completely remove the zombie virus and other biological infections. It neutralizes toxins, parasites, and harmful microorganisms while deep-cleaning the body, clothes, and carried items.
Finally, a Restoration Pod, a Purple-grade Light Healing Chamber. It is a smaller pod placed beside the purification unit, filled with soft glowing leaves and warm life energy. It heals minor wounds such as cuts and bruises, restores stamina, stabilizes physical condition, and provides a mild mental calming effect. However, it cannot heal major injuries or regenerate limbs.
