It didn’t take long, but it seemed like the hind had slowly gotten used to the rest of the pets.

Since they were all tamed with the Love Gauge Taming Skill, they all knew that they were tamed by the same person. At the same time, they knew that they would be seeing each other a lot in the future.

The two of them seemed to have created a rivalry between them which caused them to spar against each other. It wasn’t as if they were taking it seriously and were trying to hurt each other, but they also seemed to want to humiliate the other side.

Both of them really wanted to show their dominance for some reason.

It really was like kids fighting on the playground.

However, Lin Fan broke it up in the end since there was something that it needed from the hind.

“Can you take me to your nest?”

The hind was surprised by this request, but it didn’t deny this.

Though as it prepared to lead the way, it did seem to move in a bit of an awkward manner. It really seemed like it didn’t want to lead him to its den with how slow it was moving.

Lin Fan raised a brow to look at the hind, but he didn’t say anything in the end since it was still moving forward.

If it was leading the way, then he would wait to see why the hind wouldn’t want to show him its den. He didn’t think that it would be that bad since the hind was nothing more than a child when it came to mental age.

When he saw the den, it was easy for him to tell what it was that the hind had been trying to hide. At the same time, he confirmed that it was indeed something that only a child would be embarrassed of.

When Lin Fan said this, the hind actually turned around and couldn’t face it. The hind even went behind a bush as if it was too embarrassed to show its face.

But the way that it acted was as if it was a child that was showing a dirty room to an adult. Especially when Lin Fan went to take a closer look at the den to see if he could find something.

When he did, the hind immediately came out of the bush and ran over as if it was trying to block the way. While doing so, the hind also tried to clear out some of the things in the den as if it was doing some last minute cleaning.

Though it wasn’t as if there was much that the hind could do now that they were already here.

In the end, Lin Fan just patted the hind on the head and moved it out of the way before moving into the den to take a closer look.

The first thing that he saw was already something that he wanted, though it didn’t seem like the hind wanted to give it.

“It’s fine, it’s not anything bad. In fact, this is considered medicine in the human world and is very valuable.”

Though Lin Fan tried to persuade the hind of this, it didn’t seem like it was listening to him with the way that it was trying to push these horns away. These were the shed horns of the hind that it had been storing in its den.

However, Lin Fan actually needed this thing.

The whole reason that he had been sent after this hind was to get this horn, so he needed to bring it back as proof. Not to mention, it wasn’t a lie when he said that these horns had medicinal properties.

He didn’t know what they could be used for, but he could easily see that the Appraisal Eyes confirmed this fact.

Lin Fan was even a bit excited to see what kind of medicinal properties the horns of a divine beast would have. Just the fact that the hind was a divine beast was already enough to show that these horns were anything but ordinary.

Other than this, there were other things that came from the hind that Lin Fan wanted to take.

All of the different droppings from the hind were all things that could be considered special items. Whether it was the horns, the fur, or the other things that it discarded from its body.

All of these were special just because of the hind’s identity as a divine beast.

“Why would you want this?” The look on the hind’s face made it clear what it was thinking and it looked at Lin Fan like this the entire time. It did everything that it could to convince Lin Fan to stop taking these shed parts of itself from the den.

It was just that there was nothing that the hind could do when Lin Fan was determined.

“Ao!” The hind just gave a frustrated cry before leaving the den as if it was done with Lin Fan.

It knew that it wouldn’t be able to stop Lin Fan from taking these things from its den, so it decided on one final thing that it could do. It chose to storm out to show how angry it was and that it didn’t care anymore.

A faint smile appeared on Lin Fan’s face when he saw this as he couldn’t help thinking of a child’s tantrum when he saw how the hind was acting. But he also knew that the hind wasn’t determined to stop him.

If it was, it would have torn these things away from his hands and gotten rid of them.

The fact that the hind just gave up like this meant that it was fine with him taking it, even if it was a bit embarrassed about all of this.

If it really didn’t want Lin Fan taking it, then Lin Fan wouldn’t have taken these things.

The relationship between them was give and take, so Lin Fan did have to show proper respect to the hind for this relationship to work. If the hind really didn’t want something, it wasn’t something that Lin Fan could force.

After gathering all of these things, Lin Fan couldn’t help looking around once more.

This time, he looked like he was looking for something specific.

It was all because of the last words that Apollo left him.

Only it didn’t seem like there was anything hidden here in the nest.

With that notification, he knew immediately what he was looking for and where it was.

Though a strange look appeared on his face when he saw it since he knew that these two things shouldn’t have been in the hind’s den in the first place.

“So is this considered a bribe?” Lin Fan said as he looked down on the two items in front of him.

He was familiar with what they were since he had found something similar way back on the cultivation continent, though back then he had been forced to return that thing back to the god that it belonged to.

This time, it was clear that these things were for him.

“Can the gods just send things wherever they want?”

That was the only thing that Lin Fan could think of as he looked at the bow and harp on the ground in front of him. From the energy fluctuations that came from them, he knew that they were relics from Artemis and Apollo.

“Well, this place isn’t a normal place either.”

Since this was the den of a divine beast that belonged to those two gods, it could be argued that this was holy ground for them. Since it was holy ground that belonged to those two gods, then they should be able to control what happened here.

If that meant that they were able to send down these two relics, then that was how it was.

In the end, Lin Fan slowly reached out towards the two relics and found that they didn’t reject him at all.

It was as if they had been made for him.

Sensing this, Lin Fan knew that these two relics were without a doubt a bribe for him. They were giving these two relics to him in return for him taking care of the hind for them.

Since they were giving this bribe, there was no reason for Lin Fan not to accept it.

He had already gained quite a bit from the last two tasks, but this was on a completely different level.

With these two relics, he would be able to upgrade his system once more.
