- Chapter 1651 - 570: The Pros and Cons of Apotheosis (Part 3)

At that moment, the Fiend Demon’s body within Cologne Cathedral seemed to sense something. Strands of Evil Qi drifted underground, quietly leaving their original position.
…
An hour later.
Inside the study of Rose Manor.
“Let’s absorb these small Divine Fragments first.”
Rein crushed six small Divine Fragments in his hand, and in the next instant, six clouds of various colored smoke dispersed.
Simultaneously, a system notification sounded:
[Ding! Detected Divine Fragments that can enhance the degree of spiritual power fission. Accelerate absorption? (Note: System absorption can eliminate impurities and complete absorption at once.)]
Rein naturally chose “Yes!”
Instantly, he heard a series of howls and curses from the Evil Gods echoing around him.
But to Rein, these were like the loser’s elegy sung to themselves, merely impotent rage that only further highlighted his glory as the victor, entirely meaningless.
After the system purified them, the remaining six strands of pure energy rapidly coursed from Rein’s arm straight to his brain, like rivers flowing into the sea.
In Rein’s mental sea, the pulsating core of his spiritual power fission suddenly grew even stronger.
A few seconds later, the absorbed Rein checked his attribute panel:
Spirit: 425 (Fission 79%)
“Only 79%?”
Rein had a nagging feeling of unease!
From this progress, even if he absorbed the medium Divine Fragment from Erebus, he might not be able to smoothly ascend to the level of a Sixth Level Wizard Sun God Throne.
“From 49% to 79%, the improvement is significant.”
“But these were six small Divine Fragments. On average, isn’t it merely a 5% increase per small Divine Fragment?” Rein furrowed his brows slightly.
“It seems the difficulty of ascending to the late stage of Full Moon Wizard is more than twice as high as the early and middle stages.”
“Indeed, there hasn’t been any mention in nearly ten thousand years of anyone ascending to the Sun God Throne; if it were that easy, someone as gifted as Emperor Atlas would have long achieved it.”
After a moment’s thought, Rein decided not to worry about it for now and to absorb the last Divine Fragment first.
A few seconds later…
Staring at the ‘Fission 93%’ on the attribute panel, Rein couldn’t help but sigh:
“Indeed! Even after absorbing a medium Divine Fragment, I still can’t ascend to a Sixth Level Wizard.”
“This means I still cannot wield the true Divine Artifact Time Key.”
“However, after this battle, I suspect all the Evil Gods won’t dare show themselves for a while. I can’t count on them anymore.”
At this point, the communication mark on Rein’s chest began to flicker.
With a light tap of Rein’s finger, Olena’s voice swiftly came through:
“Lord of the Steel Throne, Grand Astromancer Dalain and several other Grand Astromancers have detected Graham’s traces on the newly restored Star Mage Platform. The opponent seems to be hiding within the Hammerfall Mountains.”
Though Olena was only a Third Level Wizard Apprentice, as Rein’s occupational secretary, she had obtained a special communication device from the Floating City for daily contact.
“Good! Please convey my regards to Dalain and the Astrologers; I will immediately head to the Hammerfall Mountains.”
Rein was quite delighted inside, finally having found them.
He hoped that the opponent would summon the Spider Evil God Nael Breccan once again, as this would give him a great chance to obtain another Divine Fragment and potentially break through.
With a slight contemplation, Rein’s figure vanished from the study.
