Chapter 113: Meeting His Family

Olivia’s POV

He appeared to be in his fifties, although I couldn’t be sure. He was tall and broad-shouldered, with neatly styled dark hair that had a little gray at the temples. His face was handsome, with a strong jaw, sharp features, and an air of authority that immediately reminded me of someone.

Lucian.

My eyes widened slightly.

Moon Goddess, the resemblance was incredible!

The man’s face looked so much like Lucian’s that I could almost imagine what Lucian would look like when he grew older. They had the same strong jaw, the same forest-green eyes, and even the same way of sitting.

But how old was this man? Forty? Fifty? He certainly didn’t look any older than that. Then again, Lucas was already in his early thirties, which meant his father could easily be in his sixties. Damn! If that was the case, he had aged remarkably well. I could hardly believe that a man with a son in his thirties could still look so young.

Beside him sat Ma’am Rebecca, looking as beautiful and elegant as ever.

The moment she noticed me standing near the entrance, she smiled.

"Olivia, you’re here. Come in and have a seat."

I smiled nervously and bowed my head respectfully.

"Good evening, Your Majesty."

"Good evening, Olivia," she replied. "Come in. Don’t just stand by the door."

"Good evening, sir," I greeted the older man as well.

He looked up at me, and a small smile appeared on his face.

"Good evening, Olivia."

I blinked.

He knew my name?

Before I could say anything else, Rebecca turned toward him.

"Darling, this is Olivia."

The man nodded.

"Yes, I know. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, Olivia."

"The pleasure is mine, sir," I replied nervously.

Rebecca smiled. "Olivia, this is my husband."

I had already guessed as much, but hearing her confirm it still made me nervous.

So this was Lucas and Lucian’s father.

I glanced at him again, unable to get over how much he resembled Lucian. If I hadn’t known better, I would have thought someone had taken Lucian’s face and made him twenty years older.

"You’re staring," Rebecca said with an amused smile.

My cheeks immediately grew warm.

"I’m sorry, Your Majesty. It’s just that..."

"Let me guess." She laughed. "He looks like Lucian?"

I nodded before I could stop myself.

Rebecca burst into laughter.

"Oh, you’re not the first person to say that. Lucian took almost everything from his father. Sometimes, when I look at the two of them together, I wonder whether my son inherited anything from me at all."

Her husband chuckled.

"Well, I certainly don’t remember complaining about that."

I couldn’t help smiling at their exchange.

For a moment, I felt slightly more comfortable.

Then, just as Rebecca was about to say something else, two cheerful voices suddenly came from behind me.

"Oh my goodness! Is that her?"

"That must be Olivia!"

I turned around in surprise.

Two young women were walking into the dining room, and for a moment, I honestly thought I was seeing double.

They were identical.

Both appeared to be around twenty-two years old, with long dark hair, beautiful faces, and bright, expressive eyes. They were almost the same height, and even the way they smiled was similar.

The only obvious difference was their clothing. One wore a stylish blue dress, while the other had on a short pink dress.

The moment they saw me, their faces lit up.

"Oh, you’re Olivia! You’re so beautiful!" the one in blue exclaimed.

Before I could respond, she hurried toward me and took my hand.

"I’m so happy to finally meet you!"

"Me too!" the other girl added, taking my other hand. "We’ve been wanting to meet you!"

I stared at them in surprise.

"Um... hello?"

They both laughed.

"Oh, sorry! We’re being rude," the girl in pink said. "You probably have no idea who we are."

I shook my head.

"Not exactly."

"We’re Lucas and Lucian’s younger sisters," the girl in blue announced proudly.

My eyes widened.

Their sisters?

I knew Lucas and Lucian had a younger sister named Lilian, who had been in a coma, but I hadn’t known they had two other sisters.

And identical twins at that!

For a moment, I didn’t know what to say. I had expected them to be cold toward me, especially considering everything that had happened between their brothers and me. I was only a former maid who had entered their family under a false identity, and I wouldn’t have been surprised if they had looked down on me or refused to acknowledge my presence.

But instead, they were smiling at me as though there was nothing unusual about my being there.

"Come on, sit with us!" the girl in pink said excitedly.

Before I could protest, they each took one of my hands and led me toward the dining table.

"Girls, let Olivia settle in," Rebecca said, laughing. "She’s only just arrived."

"But Mom, we’ve been waiting for her!" one of them protested.

"And we have so many questions!" the other added.

I couldn’t help smiling as they pulled out a chair for me.

"Thank you," I said, sitting down.

They immediately took the seats on either side of me.

"I’m sorry," I began, glancing between them. "I didn’t catch your names."

The girl in blue laughed.

"That’s because we haven’t told you yet!"

She quickly introduced herself, followed by her sister, but they spoke so fast that I barely had time to register which name belonged to whom.

I looked from one face to the other, feeling slightly embarrassed.

They noticed my confusion and burst into laughter.

"Don’t worry," one of them assured me. "Everyone gets us mixed up at first."

"Even our brothers sometimes," the other added.

"Especially Lucian!"

They both laughed again.

I found myself smiling along with them.

They were so different from what I had expected. For some reason, I had imagined that the Alpha King’s younger sisters would be proud or difficult to approach, but these two seemed friendly and full of energy.

"You’re even prettier than we expected," one of them suddenly said.

My cheeks warmed.

"Thank you."

"Seriously! Now I understand why our brothers are—"

"Girls," Rebecca interrupted.

Both twins immediately fell silent.

I looked toward Rebecca, confused by the sudden interruption, but she merely smiled and reached for her glass of water.

Before I could think too much about it, another voice came from the entrance.

"Are you two bothering someone again?"

I turned around.

A teenage boy had just entered the dining room. He looked about eighteen years old, with dark hair, handsome features, and the same striking eyes I had already noticed in several members of the family.

He wore a casual T-shirt and jeans, and unlike the twins, he seemed completely relaxed.

"Mind your business!" one of the girls snapped.

The boy rolled his eyes.

"Whatever."

Then he noticed me.

"Oh, hey. You must be Olivia."

I smiled politely.

"Yes. Hello."

"Hi."

He gave me a brief smile before walking over to an empty chair and sitting down as though nothing unusual was happening.

I stared at him for a moment.

Another sibling?

Moon Goddess!

Just how many children did Rebecca and her husband have?

I already knew about Lucas, Lucian, and Lilian. Now I had discovered that they also had identical twin daughters and a teenage son.

That made six children altogether.

I glanced toward Rebecca, who was speaking quietly to her husband, and couldn’t help wondering how she had managed to raise such a large family.

The twins were still talking excitedly beside me, asking whether I liked my bedroom and whether I would like to take a walk around the pack.

I answered their questions as politely as I could, although I was still trying to remember their names.

Then, suddenly, the atmosphere in the dining room changed.

The servants near the entrance straightened immediately, and one of them bowed his head.

"His Majesty."

I turned toward the doorway.

Lucas walked into the dining room.

He was dressed in a fitted black shirt and white trousers, looking as handsome and intimidating as ever. His expression was calm, and he carried himself with the same effortless authority that always seemed to follow him wherever he went.

My heart gave an unexpected flutter.

His eyes moved around the table before settling on me.

For a brief moment, he stopped walking.

Then a faint smile appeared on his face.

"Olivia."

I swallowed nervously.

"Good evening, Alpha Lucas."

He continued toward the table, pulled out the chair at its head, and sat down.

"Good evening," he replied, his eyes still fixed on me.

I swallowed hard and looked away before Lucas finally looked away from me and glanced around the dining table, as though checking whether everyone was present.

"Where are James and Jasmine?" he asked.

Rebecca sighed and shook her head.

"Those two are always late for dinner. I have no idea where they’ve gone this time."

"Should I mind-link them?" one of the twins offered.

Before anyone could respond, two voices suddenly rang out from behind me.

"We’re here!"

I nearly jumped out of my chair.

I turned around just in time to see a young man and a young woman appear out of nowhere, right in the middle of the dining room.

They had just teleported!

My eyes widened in disbelief as I stared at them.

Wait a minute. Another two?

Moon Goddess!

Eight?!
