Chapter 2954: The Ruins of Etna III

The next floor of the Ruins of Etna featured a vast forest savanna area where the monsters were large wild boars that is the size of a house. If the normal monsters in this floor were already this big, the mini-boss in the area is actually the size of a house with two floors. Lyaeus grunted to Diane where the location of the mini-boss was and she led them to it.

The mini-boss for the second floor is a large tusked boar that has an armored plate body. It looked like the large tusked boar has the skin of rhino if one were to describe it. Lyaeus did not stand in ceremony as he charged towards the tusked boar mini-boss. Unlike with what happened with the first floor, Lyaeus was the one pushed back by the mini-boss of the second floor.

The sudden challenge made Lyaeus even more excited as he actually took out his divine weapon that is in the shape of a wine jug from ancient times. He swirled the wine jug and took a sip to savor the liquid that is being created by it. As soon as Lyaeus took a sip, his entire demeanor changed even further but his strength and energy increased by almost 20%.

The tusked boar mini-boss noticed this and wanted Lyaeus dead. Lyaeus, on the other hand, has plans for the mini-boss. He wanted to roast the pig as it would make good accompaniment to his wine. He needed to tenderize the meat first which is why he attacked the tusked boar mini-boss with powerful slaps on the body.

Lyaeus’ attacks pierced through the tough exterior of the tusked boar mini-boss as he utilized the shockwaves created by his powerful slaps. Just like what he wanted, Lyaeus defeated the tusked boar mini-boss without even destroying its armor but by destroying it from the inside. The end of this battle has depleted the madness that Lyaeus has which is why the team decided to rest before heading to the next stage.

"Did you get weakened when your madness vanished?" Diane asked as they know the downside of the power that Lyaeus gets in exchange for the powerful self-buff that he does.

"Only my satiety got dropped to the red zone. A quick meal will fix this which is why... Melaina if you please." Lyaeus stated as he pointed at the dead tusked boar.

"You want me to roast this pig? Am I your personal chef now?" Melaina retorted.

"I am going to use that wish ticket that you give me to exchange this task." Lyaeus stated as he gave the wish ticket to Melaina and she could only agree.

The wish ticket thing was proposed by Alcides and can only be given to the champion that does meaningful contribution to their leaderboard. It is refreshed every month and is used as a way to have no disagreements when dealing with other champions. At the start, all of them had high pride that they would not ask help in quests or any tasks even if they died. Seeing this pathetic bravado, Alcides decided to do it this way to at least give them a way as a compromise.

"I am only doing this because you used a wish ticket. Also, who uses a wish ticket for this? Can you not wait until we return back at Olympus? They would surely be able to create more dishes there than just roasted." Melaina stated but she still started to roast the mini-boss while it is still in the armored shell.

"I need to eat as my gut feeling says that something down there will make us run for our money." Lyaeus stated as his gut has never been wrong when it comes to situations like this. Diane also made a note of this as she also knows that Lyaeus intuition for dangerous situations always gets proven true eventually.

"It seems that the guests have arrived." Namea stated as she saw figures descending from the seventh floor. She was told that the champions of Olympus or at least some of them had infiltrated but she is shocked to see who descended.

<Father’s Day Quick Special>

Adrian is currently in agonizing pain in the head as he is thinking of a present for his father for Father’s Day. He knows that his father is not one that likes gifts but he wanted to at least prepare one. As a result, he actually stalked his father’s Holo Home to check what is inside of it. He noticed that inside the virtual home that his father created is actually just a simple log cabin with a view from the alps.

He now knows why their house is on a hill because his father seems to be fond of elevated areas. Other than that, there was literally nothing in it which means he now has no clue. In the end, he had to use his slightly above average art skills to create the painting of his father’s virtual home. It took him about a week to finish it but it was not bad.

Adrian’s father is not one to be vocal about his likes and dislikes but he is a caring and loving in his own way. He makes sure to be present at important moments of his children’s life as a non-negotiable for him. He would cancel important business meetings if it meant that he will miss a school play or graduation day.

"Dad." Adrian stated.

"Yes, son." Richard replied.

"I got you this for Father’s Day. Happy Father’s Day! I hope you like it." Adrian stated as he handed the painting to his father.

When Richard saw the painting, a warm smile could be seen on his face. His eyes looked deep with affection even though his body did not show it. He then stood up and patted Adrian’s head while ruffling his hair.

"Thanks for the gift, son." Richard stated as he found a way to hang Adrian’s painting in his own study.
