Igor felt embarrassed for a reason.

Originally, it was him and these Trampler in a standoff, and the sudden involvement of this old man was already a bit strange. What was more surprising was that this old man now seemed to be taking over the situation.

The Trampler had just been incessantly talking about rare items, but now all their attention was on this old man.

The most awkward part was that the old man had just started to establish his momentum, yet these Trampler didn't even care. Even though the previous Soundwave Attack had made them roll all over the ground, they didn't mind at all.

The Trampler were all staring at this old man, as if he was also their target.

"Boss, Brass wants this old man, right? We should tie him up now."

"Yeah, this old guy looks pretty arrogant. Tie him up and cut his pride down a notch."

The Trampler were still relaxed as if the previous Soundwave Attack didn't affect them at all, and it was unclear why they had been rolling on the ground earlier.

"When Brass gets here, we can discuss the price." The leader of the Trampler said, sounding quite angry with the people in front of him.

"I've already told you, your Brass isn't coming back!" The old man launched another Soundwave Attack, and this time it was slightly stronger than before. Clearly, he was displeased with these Trampler. Not listening to what he said was a form of ignoring him, and he couldn't tolerate it.

Crash!

This Soundwave Attack was blocked by the leader of the Trampler using a curved knife. Mantai People had fought countless battles with the Kayne People, and they had developed a knack for dealing with Adventurers with Class's Spirit Attacks. Although they might seem like brute force fighters, they also had a knack for understanding how to use that power.

"Douglas, learn from your mistakes. The same attack won't work twice on Mantai People." The leader of the Trampler shouted.

"And what about three times?" Igor, currently enjoying the spectacle, asked directly.

The leader of the Trampler glared viciously at Igor, implying that he shouldn't get too cocky, as he would settle scores with him soon.

"Since you know I'm Douglas, you should be careful. I'm not toying around." The old man reiterated, seemingly trying to pressure the Trampler.

Igor felt that his earlier joke had been ignored again.

"Douglas, I don't care if you're some Divine Thief, you're my goods now. Coming to us on your own, we won't let you go!" The Trampler leader said one sentence after another.

"Divine Thief?" Igor was a bit unfamiliar with the term.

"Hehe, you're still young." The strange man across from him chuckled at Igor. He was still sitting in a chair and hadn't moved much at all, completely enjoying the show, and very calm. He seemed to believe that none of the people here posed a threat to him.

Igor shrugged; he really wasn't familiar with Douglas, and there was no way he could ask the strange man opposite him for an explanation, especially now that the tension was high, and a fight might break out at any moment.

"Douglas, it's best you come with us to meet Brass. It'll save you some trouble. We're reminding you out of goodwill." The Trampler softened their tone because they felt they currently held the advantage; with the name Brass, they hadn't feared anyone yet.

"Sigh, I've told you three times now, Brass isn't coming." The old man named Douglas said, his tone full of helplessness.

"Haha, this old man really likes to joke."

"Yeah, telling the same joke three times."

"Douglas, wake up. How could Brass not come? You must be senile."

Igor realized that the Trampler hadn't taken what Douglas said seriously at all. It seemed they harbored a fixation that Brass would appear in this tavern.

"You won't cry until you see the coffin." Douglas took out an item from his body and threw it to the ground.

It was a necklace, and it was a personal necklace with bloodstains on it.

The Trampler knew whose necklace it was; it was Brass's. Brass had a habit of kissing the necklace after discussing business, as if it were a ritual. To the Trampler, however, this was particularly disgusting.

Even a bloodstained necklace was nothing special in the eyes of the Trampler, even if they were familiar with this item.

"Are you showing off your skills as a Divine Thief?" The leader of the Trampler said, indifferent to the necklace's whereabouts.

Douglas was speechless, finding it challenging to reason with Mantai People.

"Your notorious reputation has spread across the continent. A Hunter not hunting Beasts or Hunters, but doing these shady dealings, is laughable!" The leader of the Trampler continued, familiar with Douglas.

This mention made Igor recall the name Divine Thief Hanter, an outlier among Hunters in Kayne Realm. Apparently, this Hanter had the surname Douglas!

So that's how it is.

Piercing such an identity didn't particularly interest Igor. In the world of Adventurers with Class, such things were disdainful, and within the Hunter ranks, Hanter was looked down upon. They had long removed Hanter's name from their ranks, and he was considered an outlier, though as far as Igor remembered, Hanter hadn't done anything particularly evil.

"I'm not displaying any special skills!" Douglas said lightly.

"No matter what you've done, we originally came here to discuss your matter with Brass. You've now turned up on your own; we have no choice. When Brass arrives, you'll be helpless."

"Forget it, there seems to be no way of reasoning with you people. I'm just a thief; you wouldn't believe anything I say." Douglas's tone shifted, which surprised Igor, as Douglas completely changed demeanor, sounding nothing like an old man.

Wait, Hanter, Divine Thief Hanter isn't old either!

Igor observed subtilely and realized it was quite a stroke of luck to have met Divine Thief Hanter!

Douglas straightened his back, the wrinkles on his face gradually disappeared—an advanced art of concealing appearance.

Hunters often reveal their skills unpredictably, and Douglas was no exception.
