Chapter 152: 152/The Fierce Cat’s Bite

Chapter 152

Stephanie’s point of view

He looked at my trembling lips with a suspicious gaze, uttering a sickening taunt that shook my core: "Only now do I understand the whole story. That dick toy that fell from you in the elevator was definitely part of a cheap, calculated act to make me think of you."

My eyes widened in absolute shock as I listened to his ridiculous, mentally unhinged sentence. Had his madness and arrogance reached the point of linking every random or passing event in my life to his grand persona? I spoke with intense contempt, spitting the words out: "Do you honestly think you are the center of the universe for me to do all this nonsense for your sake and to win your approval?!"

He spoke with provocative coldness: "You know what? I genuinely pity your state and your pathetic attempts."

I shook my head impulsively, tears streaming down my cheeks: "Fine! Pity me as much as you want, just let me go now!"

He spoke, his eyes gleaming with a dark, sharp desire that completely took over his features: "And because I pity you and your starvation for my proximity... I will grant you the honor of kissing me tonight."

Before my scattered mind could process the vulgarity of his words, or before I even possessed the physical capacity to respond or curse, he leaned down with terrifying speed. He slammed his thick lips against mine with extreme violence and harshness, pressing the full weight and size of his body against me while his hands securely shackled my wrists against the marble wall, preventing any escape. I felt an intense humiliation and disgust course through my veins like venom.

I tried every possible way to move right or left, or to push his massive chest away with my body, but it was entirely futile against his immense strength.

In the fleeting moment he slightly relaxed the harsh pressure of his lips to catch his breath, I gathered all my rage and latent strength and bit down on his lower lip with all the might and malice I could muster, until I clearly tasted his hot blood spilling into my mouth.

He pulled away abruptly from the pain, his hands releasing their shackles on me. I caught a strange, mocking smile forming on his face as he calmly wiped the trail of blood with his thumb, whispering in a raspy murmur: "A fierce cat, indeed..."

I didn’t wait a single second for him to regain his balance or grab me again. I raised my hand with all the rage and oppression within me and delivered a powerful, resounding slap that echoed through the space, screaming in a voice choked with tears: "Damn you and your very existence, you vile, filthy scoundrel!"

I turned with frantic speed toward the door, turned the metal lock with violently trembling fingers, and ran out of that cursed restroom. My legs could barely hold me steady from the sheer terror of the shock. I was shaking like a leaf in a tempestuous wind while my mind stubbornly refused to believe what had just happened inside; for a moment, I thought I was living a terrifying nightmare and would surely wake up from it in my bed. I headed immediately to the opposite corridor with stumbling steps, entering the correct women’s restroom with my breath completely cut off.

I rushed toward the sinks in a frantic, hysterical state, turning the water faucet all the way open. I began washing my lips with water with extreme force and violence, scrubbing them with my fingers like a madwoman to erase his mark. His kiss was disgusting, hideous, carrying the foul texture of coercion and vile violation that made me desperately want to throw up my stomach into the sink. I couldn’t bear the thought that that bastard had touched me in such a vile manner.

Meanwhile, an elegant woman walked in to adjust her makeup in front of the mirror. She looked at me with worry and apprehension at my disheveled appearance: "Are you alright, dear? Do you need any help?"

I tried to suppress my gasping with immense difficulty, wiped my face with a tissue, and spoke in a raspy, exhausted voice: "I’m fine... just a slight dizzy spell, thank you."

The woman examined my face carefully and kindly, saying with a gentle smile: "You’ve removed all your lipstick because of this harsh scrubbing with water, and your lips look swollen. Would you like me to give you my personal lipstick to apply and touch up your appearance?"

I nodded my head in utter helplessness and loss: "Yes... please, I would be grateful."

I took the lipstick from her with trembling fingertips and passed it over my lips cautiously to hide the features of the crime and violation that had occurred inside moments ago. Before I handed the lipstick back to her, I whispered a definitive, irreversible vow in the depths of my soul: *You are never going back to that cursed job again, Stephanie... never... never, no matter what happens, even if it costs you your life!*

The tangled thread of my thoughts was abruptly cut by consecutive, heavy knocks on the outer door of the restroom, followed by Alexander’s voice bleeding clearly from the other side: "Stephanie... are you in there? Are you alright? You’ve been a very long time!"

The blood froze in my veins, and I felt my heart drop into a bottomless abyss the very instant I heard his voice. I looked in terror at the mirror; my face was as pale as the dead, my eyes wide from the aftermath of the shock, and now Alexander was standing right behind this exact door.

I took a deep breath, trying with every ounce of strength I could muster to piece together my shattered composure and control my trembling vocal cords before speaking. Taking a step back, I uttered in a tone I desperately tried to make sound natural: "Yes... yes, Alexander, I’m inside. I’m fine, just... fixing my makeup. I’ll be out in a few seconds."

I handed the lipstick back to the woman who was watching me with kindness, whispering to her in a stammering, grateful murmur: "Thank you..."

She nodded at me with a gentle smile that wasn’t devoid of confusion, while I turned toward the outer door with slow, heavy steps, as if walking toward a gallows. My greatest fear wasn’t facing Alexander; it was that he might catch a glimpse of the other bastard, Mr. Vincente, stepping out from the opposite corridor. If they crossed paths now, an inevitable catastrophe would explode right in the middle of this luxury restaurant.

I gripped the doorknob with trembling fingers and opened it quietly. Alexander was standing right there, and the moment his eyes fell upon me, he let out a noticeable sigh of relief and took a step toward me, examining my face thoroughly: "You’ve been a very long time, Stephanie... I was starting to worry about you."

I tried to force a faint smile onto my lips to mask the trace of that disgusting kiss, whose bitterness I could still taste deep inside me, and spoke quickly to prevent him from scrutinizing my details any further: "I’m fine, I just felt a sudden wave of dizziness... but I’m better now."

His warm palm extended to cup my cheek, his thumb brushing over it with a tenderness that melted a fraction of the freezing fear in my chest. He said softly: "If you had told me, I would have accompanied you. Let’s go then, dinner has been served."

Before I could utter a single word to cut him off and voice my overwhelming desire to flee this entire place, a massive shadow moved from the side corridor leading to the men’s restroom.

My entire body locked up, and a sudden wave of nausea violently assaulted my stomach as my eyes turned with terrified automation toward the source of the movement.

*It was him.*
