One Piece : I Became a Monster Just by Eating
Chapter 74 Eating Makino
When Kaguya returned to the Long Teng Wan Li, Nojiko and the others were already eating.
“You didn’t wait for me again.”
Kaguya pulled out a chair and sat down, and Honey Queen brought him a new set of bowls and chopsticks.
“Why are you back again? Haven’t you taken down that proprietress yet?
Do you want us to help?~”
Nami teased while eating.
“Tch, if I hadn’t been interrupted today, I would have already taken her down.
Now I have to stay for another day.”
“Master~
Why not just kidnap her?~
You are a great pirate, after all~”
Honey Queen suggested a bad idea in a sweet, cloying voice.
“What kind of rotten idea is that? This is Garp’s hometown, and Garp is the one backing Makino.
If I kidnap her, won’t Garp hunt us down to the ends of the earth?”
Kaguya rolled his eyes at Honey Queen.
“A vixen would only think of such rotten ideas.”
Nami chimed in, picking up a piece of braised pork and putting it in her mouth.
“Hmph~
I don’t know about last night…”
“Just eat your food!”
Nami stuffed a steak into Honey Queen’s mouth, cutting off the rest of her sentence.
Although Honey Queen didn’t finish her sentence, everyone in the dining room knew what she meant.
Kaya, who was nearby, lowered her head shyly.
That night, in order to deepen the feelings between the girls and make the atmosphere on the ship harmonious, Kaguya once again guided Nami and Honey Queen in combat techniques, and this time he also brought Nojiko along.
The next day—
After having breakfast, Kaguya came to Makino’s tavern again.
Last night, Makino had another ridiculous dream.
When Kaguya pushed the door open, Makino was leaning behind the counter, lost in thought.
She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn’t even notice Kaguya coming in.
After Kaguya gently locked the door, he quietly came behind the counter and found Makino’s cheeks flushed with a faint blush, her eyes looking forward dazedly, and a faint smile on the corners of her mouth.
Kaguya walked behind her, gently wrapped his arms around her waist, and whispered in her ear.
“What are you thinking about so intently?”
Makino trembled at the sudden touch, and when she turned to see it was Kaguya, the blush on her face deepened.
“Y-you, why are you here?”
She tried to break free in a panic, but Kaguya held her even tighter.
“To see you, of course.”
Kaguya chuckled, his warm breath brushing against her ear.
“What were you thinking about? Your face is so red.”
Makino glared at him in embarrassment.
“It’s none of your business what I was thinking! Let go of me quickly, what if someone sees us?”
“Let them see.”
Kaguya didn’t care and instead leaned closer.
“You’ll be mine sooner or later anyway.”
“Who… who’s your person…”
Makino retorted stubbornly.
But Kaguya turned her body around the next second and forced a kiss on her again.
Although Makino spoke toughly, her body was very honest.
Her arms wrapped around Kaguya’s neck, responding passionately to the kiss.
After a long time, their lips parted.
Makino leaned into Kaguya’s arms, panting, her eyes filled with a bit of daze and shyness.
She gently pounded Kaguya’s chest and complained, “You’re always like this… suddenly…”
Kaguya smirked and pinched her cheek.
“What? You don’t like it?”
Makino turned her face away but couldn’t hide the smile on her lips.
“I hate you… the tavern is about to open…”
“There’s hardly anyone all day, what’s the point of opening?
How about we don’t open today and do something interesting instead?”
Kaguya said, his finger gently lifting Makino’s chin, a cunning light flashing in his eyes.
Makino’s heart raced. She naturally understood the hint in his words, but her inner reserve made her hesitate.
“You… stop messing around…”
She said in a low voice, but her voice was incredibly soft.
Kaguya gave a light laugh and suddenly picked her up. Makino let out an exclamation and subconsciously hugged his neck.
“Put me down! What if someone comes in…”
“Don’t worry, I’ve already locked the door.”
Kaguya carried her upstairs, his steps steady and light.
Makino’s cheeks were burning, and she buried her head in his chest, not daring to look up.
She could clearly hear his powerful heartbeat, mixed with a faint scent of mint and the ocean, making her feel inexplicably at ease.
Upstairs, sunlight spilled through the curtains onto the wooden floor, casting a warm glow.
Kaguya gently placed her on the edge of the bed and leaned over to gaze at her.
“Now, no one will disturb us.”
His voice was low and gentle, with a firm resolve that brooked no refusal.
Makino bit her lip, a trace of struggle flashing in her eyes, but it eventually turned into compromise.
She reached out and gently stroked his face.
“You really are a rogue…”
Kaguya took her hand and kissed it at his lips.
“But you like it, don’t you?”
Outside the window, the sea breeze blew gently, and the leaves rustled as if accompanying this moment.
The tavern’s sign swayed gently in the wind, as if witnessing this rapidly heating relationship.
After two nights of consideration, Makino had thrown all her concerns to the back of her mind and immersed herself in this sudden sweetness.
Time reached dusk—
Makino leaned lazily in Kaguya’s arms, her fingertips unconsciously drawing circles on his chest.
“Are you hungry?”
Kaguya pushed away the sweat-dampened hair on her forehead and asked softly.
Makino shook her head.
“I’m not hungry… just a little tired…”
Her voice was soft and sweet, with a hint of acting spoiled.
Kaguya chuckled low, his fingers gently stroking her shoulder, feeling the delicate texture of her skin.
“Then rest for a while longer?”
Makino gave a soft “mm” and closed her eyes, enjoying this rare peace.
After a while, Makino felt something unusual beneath her. She suddenly opened her eyes and met Kaguya’s playful gaze, and her ears turned red with embarrassment.
“You… how are you still…”
“You can’t blame me for this.”
Kaguya blinked innocently.
“Who told you to be so enticing?”
Makino punched him in annoyance, but her wrist was caught and pinned to the pillow.
“Stop it, it’s almost dark…”
“Isn’t that just right…”
As the night grew darker, amidst sounds of soft complaints and low laughter, the second floor of the tavern never quieted down.
Makino’s fingertips left several red marks on Kaguya’s back, and the sound of the waves outside swallowed all her whimpers.
When the Moonlight climbed onto the window sill, she finally curled up in Kaguya’s arms, exhausted, with beads of sweat still clinging to the tips of her hair.
“Now… are you satisfied?”
Kaguya stroked her sweat-dampened hair and kissed her smooth forehead.
“Satisfied? This is just the beginning.”
Hearing this, Makino glared at him in embarrassment, but she looked completely unthreatening because her whole body was limp and weak.
“You… bad guy…”
Kaguya chuckled and held her tighter, his fingers gently stroking her waist.
“However, it really is time for you to rest now.”
Makino leaned against his chest, listening to his powerful heartbeat, and gradually relaxed.
Outside the window, Moonlight spilled on the sea, creating shimmering ripples.
The sound of waves hitting the shore came from afar, mixed with a few cries of seagulls.
