One Piece : I Became a Monster Just by Eating
Chapter 75 Makino Boards the Ship
The next morning, the early sunlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains and spilled into the room. Makino frowned slightly, subconsciously shrinking into the warm embrace beside her.
Kaguya had long since woken up. He was propping up his head, gazing at her sleeping form with a doting smile on his lips.
“Awake?”
He asked in a low voice, his fingertips gently playing with her messy hair.
Makino opened her eyes groggily and met his smiling gaze. Scenes from last night immediately flooded her mind.
Blushing, she pulled up the quilt to cover half of her face, leaving only her watery eyes exposed.
“What time is it now?”
“It’s still early.”
Kaguya leaned down and planted a kiss on her forehead.
“Sleep a while longer?”
Makino shook her head and propped herself up, her body feeling sore and limp.
The silk sheets slipped from her shoulders, revealing mottled red marks.
She hurriedly pulled the quilt back up, but heard Kaguya’s amused low chuckle.
“What are you shy about?”
Kaguya reached out and pulled her, quilt and all, into his arms.
“It wasn’t like this last night.”
“Shut up!”
Makino punched him in embarrassment, but he caught her hand.
“Come with me.”
Kaguya whispered in Makino’s ear, his warm breath brushing against her sensitive earlobe.
Makino trembled slightly. After a moment’s pause, she nodded.
“Okay~”
After receiving Makino’s affirmative answer, a flash of joy crossed Kaguya’s eyes.
“But before that.”
Makino suddenly remembered something, a hint of playfulness flashing in her eyes.
“You have to help me clean up the tavern first.”
Kaguya was stunned for a moment, then laughed.
“As you command, my proprietress.”
The two looked at each other and smiled, the air thick with sweetness.
Makino was about to get up, but nearly fell because her legs were weak. Kaguya caught her.
“It seems someone still needs a good rest.”
Kaguya teased, earning a coquettish glare from Makino.
“It’s all your fault!”
Kaguya laughed as he picked her up horizontally and strode toward the bathroom.
The warm water washed away her fatigue. Makino leaned against Kaguya’s chest, feeling his strong heartbeat.
“What are you thinking about?”
Kaguya looked down and asked.
Makino shook her head.
“I just feel… all of this is like a dream.”
Kaguya tightened his arms around her.
“This isn’t a dream. From now on, I will make every day as happy as today for you.”
Makino looked up at his resolute profile, a warm current surging through her heart.
She took the initiative to kiss the corner of his lips and whispered.
“I believe you.”
Makino’s tavern closed. Kaguya carried Makino’s luggage and led her out of the tavern.
Before leaving, Makino looked back at the small tavern that had held her memories for many years. Sunlight danced on the wooden sign, as if saying goodbye to her.
She took a deep breath and turned to take Kaguya’s arm.
“Let’s go.”
She said softly.
“Take me to see your world.”
Walking on the road to the beach, Makino said goodbye to the villagers one by one.
Village Chief Woop Slap came before them with a complex expression.
“You’ve decided?”
“Yes.”
Makino nodded gently.
Woop Slap sighed, a gratified smile appearing on his wrinkled face.
“That’s fine. Young people should go out and see the world. However…”
He turned to Kaguya, his cloudy eyes suddenly becoming sharp.
“If you ever mistreat Makino, our entire village won’t stand for it.”
Kaguya nodded solemnly, his right hand pressed to his chest.
“I swear it on my life.”
Makino’s gaze, full of love, lingered on Kaguya’s resolute face, her heart swelling with infinite tenderness.
Aboard the Dragon Riding the Wind for Ten Thousand Miles—
Nami, Nojiko, Honey Queen, and Kaya were leaning against the ship’s railing, watching the figures approaching together from the shore in the distance.
Nami’s lips curved into a meaningful smile as she nudged Nojiko beside her with her elbow.
“That guy actually succeeded~”
“Master is truly amazing~”
“It’s only been a few days, and he’s already successfully landed a beauty~”
Honey Queen rested her chin on her hand and said in a sugary voice.
“Sigh~”
“I wonder how many Sisters there will be on this ship in the future~”
Nami sighed faintly.
“What can we do? After all, he is the Captain.”
“And last night, we lost miserably again.”
Nojiko shrugged helplessly, but there was an irrepressible smile at the corner of her mouth.
Kaya remained silent on the side, but a strange light sparkled in her gentle eyes.
“They’re here, they’re here! Let’s get ready to welcome our chef!”
Nami clapped her hands and was the first to step back.
When Kaguya flew onto the Dragon Riding the Wind for Ten Thousand Miles while holding Makino, the four women greeted them warmly.
“Welcome, Miss Makino~”
“Kaguya… they are…”
Makino got down from Kaguya’s arms and adjusted her skirt somewhat awkwardly, her gaze wandering over the four women who had different styles but were equally beautiful.
“They are just like you. From now on, you will be Sisters.”
“What! You mean…”
Makino looked at the four distinct women in astonishment.
“Ah la~”
“It’s exactly what you’re thinking~”
“We are all his women~”
Honey Queen giggled behind her hand, walked up to Makino with an elegant cat-like gait, and intimately took her arm.
“Don’t be nervous, dear~”
“We’ll be family from now on~”
Kaya opened her mouth behind them, but in the end, she didn’t say anything.
Makino recovered from her initial shock and turned to give Kaguya a deep look.
Although she felt a bit angry that Kaguya had hidden the fact that he had so many partners, things had already reached this point. She had given him everything she could last night, and it was too late to regret it now.
“Hello everyone~”
“I am Makino~”
Makino took a deep breath, trying to calm the turmoil in her heart.
She put on a gentle smile and curtsied slightly to the four women.
Nojiko also stepped forward and took Makino’s other hand.
“Welcome to the group~”
“We’re all Sisters now. If you need any help, just say the word~”
“Mm, thank you~”
“I’ll take you to see your room.”
Nojiko led Makino toward the cabin while holding her arm.
After Honey Queen let go of Makino, she pressed herself against Kaguya.
“Master~”
“Did you have a pleasant night?”
Honey Queen breathed like orchids into Kaguya’s ear, her fingertips drawing circles on his chest.
Kaguya chuckled and pinched her nose.
“Mischievous.”
“Kaguya, our next stop should be Loguetown, right?”
Nami didn’t want to tease Kaguya anymore; serious business was more important.
“Yeah, let’s get ready to set off.”
Nami walked to the bow with the sea chart and began directing Moomoo to adjust the course.
The Dragon Riding the Wind for Ten Thousand Miles slowly sailed away from the coast of Foosha Village, heading toward Loguetown.
