Chapter 482: Almost 1 Billion Eternal Coins, Using Enhancement Stones

"Are we heading there now?" Violet asked as she gazed at Leon, "We have no idea how far the Tower of Souls is..."

"I don’t know," Leon shrugged, "To be honest, I also wanted to return to Higher Domain #3, I made so much money from the Monster Tide that I can essentially buy anything we want from there."

"Then..."

"...But I also want to return to Divine Academy City to be able to do something there," Leon grinned, "There’s... a lot of enemies there."

With he and his group getting so strong, Leon felt ready more than ever to be able to take on the chairman and teachers of the academy, his confidence at an all-time high.

They were still allied to the God of War and God of Magic after all, so he needed to get rid of them no matter what, their presence a constant threat.

’I also need to return to Higher Domain #3 to take care of the Awakener Lord and his guardians, especially for Celeste to get her revenge, as well as that weird sentient tower allied to the God of Magic.’

’And then I’ll have to proceed to Higher Domain #2 for the next boss, also killing any beings I see allied to the gods.’

’And then... and then...’

"Huh, Leon, are you okay?"

It was Emilia’s voice that snapped back Leon to reality, and he simply smiled as he patted her head, "Yeah, I was just... remembering what needed to be done."

Even if Leon was confident in his strength, the sheer amount of enemies that were available was overwhelming, the list growing longer wherever he went.

"Well," Emilia’s face flushed slightly before she hugged Leon, "I’m sure it’ll be okay so... cheer up!"

Seeing this, Leon smiled and nodded, "Alright, thanks."

Though he knew deep down that "hoping" it would all be okay would never work, he needed strength, for him and for the girls, real power that would ensure their survival.

"Also we need to find those elves who betrayed you."

Hearing that, Emilia gasped, "Ohmygod, I almost forgot about them with everything that happened...!"

"I didn’t," Leon nodded, "No matter who wronged us, we’ll get them, every single one."

Having so many coins was absolutely useless in most situations, but with it, Leon could afford anything he wanted from any market.

Though of course, most of what was in the Trading House wasn’t that good, which is why he needed special markets like the ones in Higher Domain #3, places with rare and powerful items.

While he looked through his Storage Space though, Leon noticed that it was still filled to the brim, and the reason was simple:

He had so many of these that he could upgrade some of their items, the stones piling up in his inventory.

Leon’s Magicless Sword was currently at +2 and his Destiny Staff at +3, likely reaching its max level soon.

He knew most of his other items would be replaced soon when he found better ones or even in the Higher Domain #3’s market.

So instead, he picked the one item that he knew for a fact he would use for a while, his new acquisition.

’My new armor!’ Leon thought, his eyes gleaming.

Since it was divine-rank, it cost the most among every other rank Leon currently had, but even then, he knew it was worth it.

He grabbed 150 Enhancement Stones and crushed them all, allowing their power to seep into his armor, the energy flowing into the divine metal.¹

He also crushed another 50 Enhancement Stones and gave their power to his Destiny Staff, the weapon glowing with energy.

That meant he gained another 100,000 Spirit just like this, making his magic stronger than ever before.

He had consumed 200 EC out of the 358 they had, so they were now left with 158 only for the girls.

"Here," he said, dropping all of the Enhancement Stones on the ground, "You can decide among yourselves."

Leon felt like they were used to him making all the decisions, though he knew for a fact they were smart, well, at least Violet was.

So he wanted to see what they would with so many items at their disposition, curious to see their choices.

The girls looked at the pile of Enhancement Stones with wide eyes, each of them considering what they could upgrade.

"I think we should focus on our weapons first," Violet spoke, her voice thoughtful, "Those are the things we use the most in combat."

"Agreed," Celeste nodded, "But with Leon’s talent, we could very quickly replace all of them if anything better appeared..."

"Well, I think I’ll keep my rapier for a while, so I’m ready to upgrade it, even if just once."

Violet’s rapier was ascendant-rank, so leveling it up to level 2 would cost only 30 Enhancement Stones, and 40 EC for level 3.

Basically, if they used their enhancement stones right, they could all potentially evolve their weapons/equipment twice.

They began to sort through the stones, discussing which items would benefit the most from the enhancements, their voices filled with excitement.

Leon watched them with a smile, glad to see them taking initiative and working together as a team.

After a few minutes, they had made their decisions, each of them holding a handful of stones.

"Alright," Violet spoke, "Let’s do this."
