"Mama!" Ally called as she ran toward them.

She arrived in a panic, looking as though something terrible had happened. The moment she appeared, everyone stopped working and turned to stare at her.

"What is it now...?" one of the beastmen asked, watching her pant. They had a bad feeling about whatever she was about to announce.

"Don’t tell me one of your little ones ran away or went missing again..." Ayra asked, already growing worried about the news Ally was bringing.

The others felt the same way, exchanging uneasy glances as they waited for her response.

"...."

Ally paused and blinked at them before suddenly bursting into laughter.

"Oh, no! Not at all! Why would I bring such news?" she said between laughs.

Everyone let out a sigh of relief. At least it wasn’t another cub running away!

"Then what is it? Why are you running around looking like that?" Ayra asked curiously.

Ally smiled and moved closer to her. "Hey, Mama, I want to ask you for something!"

Ayra stared at her suspiciously. "Why are you being so mysterious? Go ahead and tell me. Let’s see what it is."

Ally smiled as she explained, "Well, some beast warriors are heading out to inspect the surrounding areas. I want to go with them so I can practice my skills and see if I can be of some help!"

As soon as she said that, silence fell over the group. Ayra stared at her as though she’d just said something outrageous.

Knowing exactly why her mother was worried, Ally quickly added, "Don’t worry! Papa Vale is going, too, so he’ll protect me!"

Hearing that, Ayra sighed and slowly nodded. "Okay, that’s more like it... But do you really want to go now? Won’t you wait until I’m free to accompany you?"

Ally blinked before shaking her head. "No. I want to go by myself. I’m already old enough, so let me go this time, okay?" she pleaded.

Ayra studied her for a moment before finally sighing and nodding. "Alright, then. If that’s what you want, go ahead. Just be careful and stay close to Vale at all times, okay?"

Ally’s face lit up, and she nodded enthusiastically. "Sure, sure! I will! Thanks, Mama!" she said happily before turning and running off.

Ayra and the other beastmen watched her leave with smiles on their faces. Shaking her head with a sigh, Ayra listened as one of the elderly beastmen remarked, "Oh, they grow up so fast..."

Another nodded in agreement. "I can’t believe that’s our little Ally!"

"Indeed..."

Ally packed everything she needed into her little sack and slung it over her shoulder. Holding it firmly, she stood beside Lord Vale with an excited smile.

Lord Vale placed his hands behind his back and examined her from head to toe. "Are you sure you want to come along?"

Ally nodded enthusiastically. "Mmhmm! I want to come and practice my skills. So, let’s go!"

Lord Vale smiled and nodded. "Alright, then. Let’s go." He turned and walked off with the other warrior beastmen, and Ally happily followed behind them.

"Stay in the middle so we can keep a better eye on you," Lord Vale instructed.

Ally obediently moved to the middle of the group, walking alongside the others as they made their way into the woods.

This was part of their usual patrol routine, during which they navigated the surrounding forest to check for anything suspicious. However, this particular inspection was an important weekly task that involved Lord Vale himself.

On these occasions, they ventured deeper into the woods to inspect potentially contaminated zones and look for suspicious activities or unusual changes in the area.

As they continued through the forest, they eventually arrived at a stretch of land that looked anything but normal.

"What happened here...?" one of the beastmen asked, stopping to look around. "How did this place suddenly become like this?"

"Didn’t we pass through here a while ago? Everything looked fine back then, so what happened?" another added.

They had visited this part of the forest before, and it had been in excellent condition. Now, however, the place looked as though a fierce battle had taken place. Leaves and plants were scattered across the ground, with broken branches and uprooted vegetation littering the area.

There was even blood splattered across the earth.

Lord Vale immediately pulled Ally closer to his side to keep her protected while he surveyed their surroundings. They carefully observed the area for a while as the warrior beastmen spread out to search for clues.

After some time, one of them returned with a report.

"I think there was an attack here," he said. "It seems some beastmen came into this area searching for something, but they were attacked by monsters..."

Lord Vale glanced around before asking, "Can you tell what kind of beastmen or monsters were involved?"

The warrior beastman shook his head. "Not yet. The others are still investigating. Perhaps they’ll find something."

Ally, who had been peeking around from beside her father, suddenly spoke up. "Maybe I can use my powers to see if I can find some clues?"

"No. Stay where you are. It’s too dangerous," Lord Vale immediately replied, his protective instincts kicking in.

"It’s not necessarily a bad idea, though..." one of the warrior beastmen suggested.

Ally quickly nodded in agreement. "Mm! It’s not like something will happen immediately. You can all stay close and protect me while I use my skills to see if I can discover anything."

Lord Vale remained skeptical, but after a moment, he finally relented. "Be careful," he warned.

Ally smiled happily. She could finally do something to help!

She stepped forward while the other beastmen, including Lord Vale, gathered around her and watched attentively. Kneeling beside an area where the ground showed signs of a struggle, Ally carefully placed her fingers against the earth.

She concentrated, trying to activate her skills and use her pheromones to sense any lingering energy that might help her uncover what had happened there.

And while she focused on her task, a pair of eyes watched her silently from the bushes...
