Others Summon, I Forge Beast Armor

Chapter 204: Luke’s Family Of Mythic-grade Summons

  • Next Chapter

Luke, unaware that the Kingsley family is falling apart.

He woke up on a fateful day, lying in bed and feeling warm because all his summons were sleeping with him in the same bed. This unity made the night so warm and comfortable.

Amigo slept between Luke and Seraphina, who embraced each other and pulled one another close, while Bo and Lan, due to their larger size, enveloped everyone in a circle like a yin-yang cycle.

So, when he woke up, Luke couldn’t think of a better experience than this.

Although his family was falling apart, he was proud to call his summons his family.

Luke stroked Amigo’s head, then gently brushed a few strands of hair from Seraphina’s face, kissing her on the forehead and cheek.

Even though her eyes were closed, Luke saw the smile Seraphina was trying to hide, and he wasn’t surprised.

Luke was not surprised because Seraphina was an empyreal angel; so, she didn’t need to sleep. This meant she was just happy to be with him, which is why she smiled when he pecked her, but tried to hide the smile so he wouldn’t know she was awake.

Luke got up and started his daily routine.

Luke’s life has enough space to accommodate more people, meaning that if Raven and Vivian have now severed ties with their families and need a refuge and someone to rely on, he’s available.

However, Luke is not aware of this, but that doesn’t mean he had never thought about it.

He had thought about them several times because he knew they were not treated well at home.

He always felt that if they ever had nowhere to go, his door would always be open for them.

Luke brushed his teeth, took a shower, put on comfortable home wear, and found himself pacing back and forth in his villa, doing some trivial chores like folding clothes and tidying up the things he had scattered during the night, until breakfast time came.

Then he walked into the kitchen and emptied his egg rack for some eggs. As the eggs sizzled in the frying pan, Luke checked his phone messages.

He scrolled through messages from the guilds he was collaborating with.

"Good morning, Mister. This is a reminder that our joint meeting is scheduled for today. We look forward to meeting with you."

"Hello, anonymous sir. Hopefully you won’t stay anonymous any longer. Don’t forget our appointment today! Everyone is looking forward to seeing you—without a mask, of course."

"Good morning! Green Grace has prepared everything for today’s meeting. It would be our honour to establish a closer relationship with you."

Luke put down his phone; he had a joint meeting with more than one firm today, and of course, they were all eager to see him—the real him, Luke Kingsley.

But Luke doubted they were interested in getting to know him in a friendly manner...

They want to know who this young man is who holds the key to their wealth growth, and since people are people, they might try to establish closer ties, gather information, or even find leverage to gain greater benefits for themselves.

Luke wasn’t worried because he made sure every step he takes is on solid ground, so he’s confident he could handle any of their corporate schemes.

While plating his breakfast, Bo and Lan entered the kitchen, summoned by the aroma of bacon.

"The two of you are getting very fat and lazy," Luke said, shaking his head, arms folded. Nevertheless, he tossed them some bacon, and they left him alone.

Because of this, can Luke become a competent father?

A father who molds disciplined young ones?

How can he be a good father if he always gave these two dragons everything they wanted?

Seconds later, Amigo wandered into the kitchen too, and opened his mouth asking for some lettuce. Just lettuce.

"What? No. Fasting in the morning is necessary for sublime cultivation. Now scurry along."

So, this was where the discipline goes to? Maybe his fatherhood potential isn’t hopeless after all.

"I have a very important announcement to make," Luke said to all summons. "I have run out of summoner’s supplies. Evolution crystals. Real beast food, etc. Even with two rations, I used them all up."

Seraphina replied with a sad look, "Master, this is not good. Each summon needs to be regularly provided with the items from their summoning rations. You can ignore Amigo and me, but the Primordial Twin Forms are undergoing transmogrification, and they can’t afford to lose any progress due to a lack of resources."

"They’ll be fine, Seraphina," Luke replied. "Summons do not rely solely on those rations to survive. Bo and Lan, very fat, must learn to survive without the rations."

"But..." Seraphina stammered out of concern, trying to find a way, because it seemed she hoped this shortage of summoned supplies wouldn’t affect her children, Bo and Lan.

Even if they were the complete and unblemished Dark Dragonlord, she would still say that.

Seraphina eventually asked a clever question, "Master, why not buy more? You can buy that kind of resource anywhere."

"Come on, Seraphina, you need to keep up with your mind," Amigo said with a sigh.

Seraphina frowned and craned her neck to look at the seemingly indifferent Heavenly Immortal Tortoise.

Making sure she didn’t sound too angry with Amigo, lest he exclude her from the opportunity to show her her evolution potential, Seraphina asked, "Is that a joke of me, Mr. Turtle?"

"Yes, of course. Master said his summoning supplies were used up, but he didn’t say there were no other ways to nurture his summons."

Seraphina frowned slightly, clenched her fists, dissatisfied with the answer, and could only apply more pressure...

"So, why can’t Master go to the market and buy the exact same items that were in the summoning rations before?!"

Amigo replied, "Oh, that’s your question... Well, let me check. Because the academy’s rations are like a tailored care package for your summons, containing the right quantities, sizes, qualities, and so on, but buying is just taking things from the store and piecing them together yourself.

"These things do help, because they are still food and crystals for the beasts, but you don’t have the correct proportions and balance that the academy provides. The academy’s rations are formulated by those who take the time to understand the ingredients and their quantities, so they make for a good daily ration for general summoning training."

"Do you understand now, Seraphina?" Luke asked.

Seraphina lowered her head and said, "I understand, Master." Then, she went to take care of Bo and Lan, trying to comfort the two primordial twin forms in this predicament.

"Don’t worry too much," Luke said. "Joining the Confederacy will also bring in supply quotas, which are more specific and reliable. So, you should look forward to it."

Luke was one step away from completing the joint term at the academy. If Luke wins the Dux title of his class, obtaining summon supplies would not be a problem.

Later that morning, Luke took his summons to the backyard because he needed to ensure they wouldn’t become weak from spending too much time relaxing.

The backyard of his villa was an ideal place for outdoor training, as it was almost a beach extending to the nearby cliffs, overlooking the vast ocean.

The golden sands like a bed along the coastline, waves crashing against the shore, and the salty sea breeze blowing athwart.

Luke checked the time, and it showed he had four hours left before meeting with the guilds.

Four hours was more than enough, but time flies, so he didn’t hesitate to start.

On his left was an empyreal angel, and on his right was a heavenly immortal turtle. Luke didn’t think he must spend time training them regularly, as they were powerful.

This left him with the Primordial Twin Forms of the Dark Dragon Lord, Bo and Lan.

He hoped to find out which twin excelled at what, so he would know how to use them correctly.

Currently, Bo and Lan are both 180 centimetres tall, but Bo is 182 centimetres tall specifically.

Luke checked their system...

When he saw that Bo’s vitality was stronger than Lan’s, he was not surprised, because Bo was a larger individual.

Therefore, Luke picked up a pen and a piece of paper, wrote "Vitality," and checked Bo’s name.

After that, he let them spread their wings.

FWOOM!

These beautiful, gothic, primordial twin forms dragon wings were elegantly unfurled, and Luke was mesmerised, unable to tear his gaze away for a long time.

He then measured the wingspan of the two pairs of wings and confirmed that Bo’s wingspan was 0.8 meters wider than Lan’s, thus attributing physical properties to Bo.

Next, the dragons will test their speed to see which twin is faster.

Luke had Seraphina mark a point in the distance, then had the dragons fly there and back, just like a race between the twins.

WHOOSH!

The wind and dust were whipped up by their fierce flight...

A few seconds later, Luke was amazed to see Lan easily defeat her twin brother, with plenty of time to spare.

She was undoubtedly the faster dragon.

Therefore, he wrote down the speed and checked off Lan’s name.

These indicators help Luke in battle, so he knows which beast to command to perform a certain action during combat.
