Others Summon, I Forge Beast Armor
Chapter 209: Business, Completed Mega Shop [II]
The work area is divided into four parts: the production hall, the forging area, the assembly line, and the finishing area.
Luke, Lin Moon, and Loki entered the production hall first, while a guide explained everything to them.
The production hall was the area closest to the storage area, and there’s a reason for that. The production hall will house machinery such as cranes, forklifts, and trucks, which transport large quantities of stored materials from the storage area for use.
According to the guide, he said this would be the busiest area of the workplace, and he was right.
Luke can already picture the workers, wearing hard hats and fluorescent vests, moving around, operating machinery, carrying planks, and chatting with each other.
As for the forging area... Luke was very interested.
This is the true core of the workshop.
He has his own forge in the soul space... how do they mimic this?
His forge burns with his own power, requiring his hands to shape things, so he wonders how the machines can do the same work without such talent.
What is the furnace in his workshop like?
Fortunately, Luke’s expectations were not only met but exceeded tenfold.
"What the hell is that..." Luke whispered, his eyes wide open, staring at the thing that looked like an alien.
And there are four more, a total of five.
How big is it?
About 85 feet high, 30 feet wide, like an upright spaceship, but also like a castle, made of hard iron and steel, with some pipes connecting hydraulic machines and some vents.
Is this a forge?
The guide nodded and said yes; these five are furnaces, where the materials from the storage area are melted and pressed into parts sent to the assembly line.
Luke did not doubt that these furnaces were the reason he spent millions more. One, two, three, four, five. Millions of assets; he must agree that these assets are worth such an expenditure.
Mr. Blackstone was equally surprised, but Lin Moon did not seem surprised; in fact, she was checking around to ensure they weren’t being cheated, making sure her work here was flawless.
Lin Moon asked, "Excuse me, sir. Can you tell me why we requested fifteen furnaces, but I only see five? You should know this is a large workshop, and things need to be mass-produced, so five furnaces are simply not enough."
"Relax, Ma," the builder replied. "These forges are San Ci models, which means they are three-in-one. Each forge has three furnaces."
The builder showed Luke and co. that each forge has three furnaces, so there are a total of fifteen furnaces.
One furnace is at the bottom, about 20 feet high, the second one is in the middle, and the last one is at the top.
There are very sturdy metal bases between them, so when the stoves are in use, they won’t affect each other. So the heat and flames from one stove won’t transfer to the next, allowing each stove to operate simultaneously.
The builder said, "We didn’t buy fifteen of the Single models because we thought the workspace wouldn’t be convenient."
"That’s fine," Lin Moon said, finally nodding in agreement. "But how do we operate these seemingly unreachable levels? With... a ladder?
"Haha, definitely not," the builder said. "Look over there: a flexible staircase. If you extend it, you can connect it to the bottom of the top two floors."
What the construction worker said was quite confusing, so he gave a demonstration.
On the floor, you don’t need this stairwell. You usually use the floor furnace.
But for the second furnace above: you walk to the corner, climb the stairs to reach that height, then gradually retract the stairs step by step, so you can walk in the air until you reach the second furnace, then connect it to the base to form a solid walkway.
The same applies to the third furnace.
So, workers can occupy not only horizontal space but also vertical space, without causing any inconvenience to anyone.
Finally...
There was the assembly line, where the finished products will undergo finishing flair along conveyor belts before being stored again.
Despite everything seeming good, Luke had a question.
"Mr. Blackstone, I understand that the customer service area, production hall, and assembly line need workers. But what about the forging area? Who will forge the beast armor?"
Loki Blackstone waved his hand nonchalantly as if Luke shouldn’t worry.
"You don’t need to worry about that. As long as you have Blackstone Group backing you, finding a skilled blacksmith won’t be difficult."
"No, that’s not what I mean," Luke challenged with emphasis on himself. "I am the one who forges the beast armor. I don’t need other blacksmiths to do this for me. Their work might not meet my standards, and I will never allow subpar products to be associated with my business."
"...."
Lin Moon: "..."
"Try to understand where I’m coming from," Luke urged Mr. Blackstone.
On the other hand, Blackstone thought about it.
Blackstone remembered that forging beast armor was indeed Luke’s talent, his craftsmanship nearly flawless, something ordinary blacksmiths could not replicate.
So, Luke’s fear of mediocrity was understandable.
However, Loki Blackstone was powerless...
Because unless Luke can split himself into a hundred workers, producing enough armor to meet market demand would be a daunting task.
In the end, Loki sighed and said, "Then you’ll have to sacrifice some quality."
"Absolutely not, sir..." Luke scoffed. "I can’t sacrifice quality. But I have been thinking of another way..."
Lin Moon asked, "What method?" She seemed unusually interested in what he wanted to say. Luke looked at her, then looked at Mr. Blackstone too, summoning confidence.
"Blackstone Corp is the leading company in beast production, right? You are responsible for producing beasts like the Soldier Ants used in the bureau. This got me thinking. Rather than hiring hundreds of workers to handle the forging, why not create a species of work beasts myself? Rather than relying on ordinary workers who might not meet my standards, why not create a species of work beasts designed for the tasks in my workshop?"
