Others Summon, I Forge Beast Armor
Chapter 212 Business, Imbuing Progenitors With The Know-how On Forging Beast Armor
When Seraphina appeared, something foreboded a calamity for these progenitors.
The presence of a mythic summon among weak, fragile primals?
It was like a candle next to the sun, because the primal beasts could sense Seraphina’s status far above theirs.
Something told them that she could destroy them with just a thought, even though Seraphina never had such intentions.
The working ant sagged its antennae in submission, the handy monkey covered its face with its hands and peeked through the gaps of its fingers, and the fire lizard abandoned nonchalance.
Seraphina possesses such great power, yet she remains a benevolent being.
Seraphina has not yet established the Path of Virtue, a path that could make her more neutral than she is now, as the Path of Virtue gives her the opportunity to be unkind, but without having established this path, she is very kind.
Therefore, these beasts have naught to fear, but they still feel fear.
If they are afraid, it might hinder or disrupt what they are about to do, so Luke, unwilling to let that happen, ordered Seraphina to instill calmness in them, even granting extra obedience if necessary.
Her eyes glowed like white jade, and Seraphina’s face hardened as she used her imbuement skills, some aura emanating from her body to the three progenitors: the worker ant, the handy monkey, and the fire lizard.
Soon, they were calm again.
The worker ant returned to its work of moving from one corner to another, the handy monkey came out from the corner and showed Seraphina some tricks, and the fire lizard closed its eyes anew, seemingly hibernating.
Seraphina’s eyes stopped glowing, and the rest of her body did too. Then she returned to base, a warm smile on her face to assure the beasts that everything was fine.
But she soon furrowed her brow because she had something to say to her master.
"Master, I spent 2 Aeon to imbue them with tranquility. I kept it very low because this wasn’t our original plan. We have to save most of their essence for the main imbuement. If I spend too much time soothing them, it could undermine the effectiveness of what we need to imbue," she said.
Luke appreciated her quick thinking and replied, "Then let’s start the main event."
Luke summoned the heavenly immortal tortoise, Amigo.
Amigo asked Luke to meditate and connect with him not only spiritually but also psychologically.
Luke followed the turtle’s request, but he wasn’t sure if he did it right.
However, he didn’t need to be perfect because Amigo did most of the work; the turtle just needed Luke to clear the way.
So, Luke was very confused because Amigo left him to find Seraphina and proceed to the next step without confirming if the first step was completed?
"So? Amigo, did you succeed?"
"Yes, I succeeded," Amigo replied. "Your thoughts are clear and coherent, so I have extracted your knowledge about forging beast armor. Now, I will pass this knowledge to our medium, Seraphina, and Seraphina will impart this knowledge to the progenitors."
After Luke had no more questions, Amigo turned his attention to Seraphina, who was already prepared to be the link between them and the progenitors.
"Now, Seraphina, I hope your brain isn’t too small to understand this?"
"You quarrelsome tortoise! I swear in the name of all empyreal angels, one day I will unshell you! You better carry on right now..."
"Slow down, slow down, I’m just worried you won’t faint..." Amigo said with a hint of sarcasm.
"Amigo, Seraphina is like a file compressor. She doesn’t need to open or understand the content. She just takes the knowledge, compresses it into an attribute, and then transfers it to the target," Luke explained.
Amigo nodded, so he and Seraphina meditated for a minute longer than Amigo and Luke. In the end, they succeeded. So, as Luke explained, Seraphina transferred what she had just compressed to the Ancestors.
The worker ant, handy monkey, and fire lizard became inanimate for a moment until the knowledge entered their bodies, then their bodies returned to calm as if nothing had happened.
If Seraphina didn’t "compress" this knowledge into something as mere as an attribute, these beasts would die.
Luke’s talent is unmatched.
Amigo is the immortal tortoise of the heavenly realm... only he has reached the level to understand such knowledge.
Seraphina, a mythic summon too, doesn’t have the capability to, which is why she can only transfer immediately and not absorb it.
So... without her, these primal-grade beasts might explode because the load is too great.
Seraphina’s eyes stopped glowing, and she celebrated, while Amigo rolled his eyes, knowing that without him, Luke wouldn’t even have been able to extract his knowledge, and Seraphina wouldn’t have had her performance.
Meanwhile, Luke was pleased with both of their efforts and with himself, as having a well-thought-out plan succeed against all odds was truly satisfying.
Without further ado, a simple experiment must be conducted to ensure that these beasts have mastered the knowledge of forging beast armor.
Luke was more interested in the handy monkey because the handy monkeys were the main beasts responsible for forging and hammering, so he tested the handy monkey.
There were no forges or hammers nearby, so Luke could not test the handy monkey by having it forge a set of armor to his taste right now.
But Luke had another way to test the handy monkey.
Seraphina and Amigo saw Luke show the handy monkey something—insect metal.
"What is this?" he asked.
The handy monkey looked at the insect leather with berry-like eyes, even reaching its hand through the gap in the cage to touch it.
After confirming what it was, the handy monkey looked at Seraphina, trying to communicate.
Seraphina, the mind reader, told Luke its answer: Insect Metal, Size 1.
After the insect metal, Luke tested all his other items, and the clever monkey answered correctly, showcasing its new knowledge.
Through this demonstration, Luke felt satisfied with the success.
He has beasts that work, who know everything about his beast armor and how to make it the way he likes.
What else was left? After all, these are just three, and Luke wants multiple workers. Would he have to imbue more one by one?
No, he won’t. As long as he imparts this knowledge to the progenitors, once Blackstone Company breeds them, the worker ant, handy monkey, fire lizard, and their descendants will inherit this knowledge.
From then on, they will possess a wealth of techniques on how to forge beast armor using his methods.
