Chapter 1515: Chapter 1515: Underhanded Conduct

"So eager to find my flaw? It seems you’re more anxious than I am!" Pei Yan cast a sidelong glance at Hecate, seeing through his intentions.

Hecate was stifled by Pei Yan’s words and said nothing more. Instead, he engaged in a mental dialogue with Aleister to discuss the next move. Pei Yan didn’t interfere, casually watching his companions fight in the distance as if the happenings on the battlefield had nothing to do with him.

"Have you agreed on how to act against me? If not, I might just make the first move!" After watching for a while and seeing Gu Shenghui and his sister struggling in combat, Pei Yan decided it was time to act, having already given the opponent enough psychological pressure.

Faced with the issue, Urban responded directly with action. Wearing a broad and ornate Bishop’s Robe, he exhibited unexpected speed, and after a flash of light, he charged toward Pei Yan, delivering a punch to his chest.

Bam!

With one punch, Urban sensed something amiss. This punch had penetrated Pei Yan’s chest directly, but upon looking, he saw he had pierced not Pei Yan but the body of a Temple Knight resurrected and infected by the Blood Curse. Urban couldn’t afford anger at that moment, instead scanning the battlefield for Pei Yan’s whereabouts, and the next second he found Pei Yan in the lower battlefield.

Blood Race magic puppet swap allows for short-distance position exchanges with infected puppets. Freed from encirclement, Pei Yan paid no attention to his three airborne opponents but instead turned his gaze to the distant Grand Mage, looking at him with vigilance and shock. Before realizing what happened, Pei Yan was behind him, piercing his chest with his hand.

"Poof!" The deathly aura exploded in the body of this innocent bystander, causing blood to spurt from his mouth. On the brink of life and death, he used a technique for survival.

Fortunately, Pei Yan didn’t care if the strike truly killed the opponent. After severely injuring the Grand Mage, he swiftly changed direction and teleported to the next target.

"Despicable! Shameless!" Urban saw Pei Yan abandoning his opponents, opting instead to crush ordinary Heavenly Dao Realm cultivators with absolute strength, shaking with fury as he roared!

Ordinary Heavenly Dao Realm! Now, it seems trivial in Pei Yan’s eyes, but in any realm, they are the core of the power pyramid, even on the Foundation plane! The death of such beings constitutes a significant loss to their faction.

Considering this, Urban rushed to stop Pei Yan’s contemptible actions, yet was halted by Aleister: "Don’t fall into his trap, being led by the nose! He is clearly trying to enrage us, creating distance between the three of us during pursuit for an opportunity to defeat each individually."

"So should we just let him commit atrocities freely?" Seeing Pei Yan target the association’s witch next, Hecate was anxious and said.

"His high-speed movement and one-hit-kill ability are unmatched; since we can’t catch him, we’ll change our angle. Whatever he does, we’ll do likewise!" Aleister said while his gaze fell on other investigation hall members on the battlefield coldly: "Their investigation hall’s top talents are fewer than ours; I don’t believe he won’t feel anguish with losses on his end!"

"Exactly! Those who venture here with him are surely his friends! I’m going to kill one or two, let Pei Yan taste heartache." Upon hearing Aleister’s suggestion, Urban’s eyes glinted with malice, choosing Wang Wenze, who had just driven away two Temple Knights, battling strenuously. Observing moments ago, he found this person closely associated with Pei Yan, likely one of his friends.

With the target set, the trio immediately joined forces, their figures appearing almost instantly before Wang Wenze. Urban waved his wide sleeve, revealing the Holy Sword of Light in his hand, striking toward Wang Wenze’s neck.

Bam!

The clash between the Holy Sword and Wang Wenze’s Cyan Dragon Crescent Blade resounded with deafening noise. Though the blade received a touch of divinity under dual abilities, it couldn’t withstand the finely crafted and spirit-nurtured Holy Sword of Light, imbued with years of belief power, and Wang Wenze’s blade was easily breached, sending him tumbling backward.

Having contracted with a divine beast, Wang Wenze’s strength surged, capable of battling one or two Heavenly Dao cultivators, yet facing an enraged peak Heavenly Dao strike, he could only defend without countering.

Urban, elated, aimed the next move to take Wang Wenze’s life, when suddenly a white flash appeared behind, creating a space curtain, and in seconds Wang Wenze was absorbed into it.

"Damn it!" Urban’s anger erupted upon the failure, searching for the next target.

"Don’t seek others! Kill him! They’re linked by a symbiotic pact! His death means Pei Yan’s death!" Aleister pointed at Hu Jiu, pinpointing the problem’s crux.

"Alright!" Urban’s eyes lit with joy in agreement.

Just as the trio moved, a series of explosions from Council City grabbed their attention, stunned by the scene before them—Pei Yan, disregarding his current prowess, was slaughtering ordinary Council City cultivators at the entrance.

Against the Temple Knights directed by Blood Curse breaching the wall, the Council City’s army was engulfed in rage and fear, yet maintained composure due to their experience battling the Blood Race. Bright Church priests showered untainted areas with Holy Light blessings, preventing the dark magic Blood Curse from spreading, while enhancing Temple Knights with anti-Blood Race spells. Their goal was to let knights dispel curses at a strike, restoring souls and bodies unscathed by manipulation.

But Pei Yan’s arrival disrupted everything. While an ordinary Heavenly Dao expert may contend with Pei Yan, these lower-level cultivators stood powerless under his attacks. Leading his mechanical clones into battle, Pei Yan brought blazing lasers sweeping the battlefield amid screams, and Temple Knights fell into blood pools. Mages and witches attempting airborne escape were pursued and killed by mechanical clones.
