Overlord Tamer:I Only Tame Bosses
Chapter 133: Helping Hands
“Lumikee! Use Sparkling Cure!”
Gloria ordered her monster, which immediately flew in circles and released sparkling particles over the party below. A warm yellow light covered each of them and healed their wounds.
“Thank you, Gloria! You’re really a huge help!”
The party leader praised her. They were currently facing the boss of Iron Gate Dungeon, a Rank 6 dungeon.
Thanks to Gloria’s support, they had little trouble fighting the boss. Whenever someone was injured, they would rotate out of the front line before rejoining the battle once they had recovered.
After forty-five minutes, the boss finally went down.
“Yeah!”
“We did it!”
“And it’s a new record too!”
The students cheered excitedly. They then gathered around Gloria and praised her for her support.
“Hehehe… it’s nothing. I just did what I could.” Gloria scratched her head while smiling.
“Huuu…” She then let out a long breath when no one noticed.
She was a little tired from repeatedly casting healing skills. The party she had joined was extremely aggressive, knowing they had a talented support tamer backing them up.
And it was also the fourth dungeon they had cleared that day. Gloria was starting to feel anxious because she wanted to excuse herself and leave.
From the boss, numerous Spirit Cores had dropped, mostly Low-Grade and Medium-Grade ones. The party then began dividing the loot among themselves.
“Since Dorian dealt the most damage, he will have priority in choosing first. After that, it will be me.” Sufi, the group leader, said.
Dorian smiled proudly, believing himself to be the ace of the party. The other students nodded in agreement, including Gloria. But inwardly, she was cursing all of them.
‘Dealt the most damage!? Do you know why he was able to deal the most damage?! It’s because of my Lumikee! And he’s also the one who got injured the most! Every few minutes he came running back to me asking for healing! ‘
Gloria complained inwardly. Of course, she didn’t have the courage to say any of it out loud.
Later, it was her turn to pick her loot. Gloria frowned when she saw that only Low-Grade Spirit Cores remained. Still, she took three of them. After that, they all exited the dungeon.
“Alright. I think that’s all for today’s dungeon session. I want to go to the city after this. Thank you, everyone.” Sufi said.
“Wait… but we still haven’t gone to my dungeon yet.” Gloria said.
“Ahh… I’m really sorry, Gloria. But everyone has something to do later. How about tomorrow? We will help you tomorrow, okay?” Melissa said.
“I’m not available tomorrow.” Dorian quickly replied.
“Me too.” Sufi and the others also gave similar answers.
“Oh… is that so? Then sorry, Gloria. How about next week?”
“It’s alright, Melissa. I will try to find another party today. Thank you for your hard work.” Gloria gave a small bow.
The second-year students waved goodbye before leaving the Dungeon Deep Mind area. Gloria continued smiling and waving at them.
The moment they disappeared from sight, a vein bulged on her forehead as she clenched her fist.
Thud!
Thud!
Thud!
She stomped her feet on the ground.
“Uurghh! So annoying! How dare they use me like that! What do they think I am?!” Gloria gritted her teeth in frustration.
“Just wait! If any of them ask for my help next time, I will ignore them!” She bit the sleeve of her clothes angrily.
“Are you alright?” A male voice suddenly came from behind her.
“What do you want!?”
Gloria immediately turned around angrily, but the moment she saw who it was, she froze in surprise.
It was Oliver.
“B-Black-haired prince?!” she blurted out instinctively.
“Black-haired prince?” Oliver raised an eyebrow in confusion.
“Oh! Nothing, nothing.” Gloria immediately hid the sleeve she had been biting behind her back and forced a wide smile onto her face.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
“I just finished clearing dungeons with Max and the others when I saw you stomping on the floor.”
“Ohh… it was actually… err… there was a cockroach just now. But it managed to run away.” Gloria said, trying to come up with an excuse.
“I see. Then excuse me.” Oliver walked past her.
Gloria stared at his back. She actually wanted to ask him something.
‘Gloria! This is your chance! Don’t let this moment slip away like before! Say it!’ Gloria encouraged herself inwardly.
“Wait! Oliver… are you free right now?” Gloria called out.
“Hmm? Yeah… I don’t think I have anything to do. Why?” Oliver turned around to face her.
“Can you help me… clear a dungeon?”
“Sure. Which dungeon?”
“Ahhh…”
Gloria’s face immediately brightened as she never expected Oliver to agree quickly. However, she quickly composed herself.
“Ehem! I actually want to tame a monster inside Baran Field Dungeon. It’s a Rank 7 dungeon. But can you wait here while I invite some other students from our year?”
Gloria was secretly delighted and didn’t want to miss this opportunity.
“No need. That will just waste time. Let’s go in with just the two of us.”
“B-Both of us!? Are you sure?” Gloria was completely stupefied.
‘I-It is a date!?’ The thought instantly appeared in her mind. A second later, she vigorously shook her head.
“No, no, no…are you sure about this? Rank 7 dungeons have many strong monsters. Can the two of us really able to clear it?” Gloria asked.
She had heard from other students, especially seniors, that Rank 6 and above dungeons usually required at least a five-person party with a balanced lineup to raid successfully.
“Don’t worry. I have a monster that’s equal to the strength of five people.” Oliver smirked confidently at Gloria.
Gloria was left speechless. Before she could say anything else, Oliver walked forward and activated the dungeon portal. He immediately stepped through it.
Gloria snapped out of her thoughts and hurried after him.
Upon entering Baran Field Dungeon, a vast green landscape filled their vision.
Large trees stood scattered across the plains, each one far from the others. Above them, countless creatures flew through the sky, with some occasionally descending toward the ground.
Gloria was amazed by the scene before her. However, her attention was soon drawn to the person standing beside her. She turned toward Oliver and froze in awe.
He was wearing a majestic-looking pair of gauntlets and boots that made him look almost like a human dragon. The dragon-scale equipment gleamed under the sunlight and giving off a powerful aura.
This was the debut of the Dracorex weapon set!
