Chapter 173: A fight

The wind faintly rustled as a figure rushed rapidly towards the empress who was casually flying with a care free expression on her face.

The figure jumped from one building to the other, rushing towards her.

The figure appeared dressed in a special enforcer’s uniform.

At a glance, the empress could tell that the figure didnt come with good intentions.

She furrowed her brows slgihtly, then stretched her fair, slender hand in his direction.

Instantly, all sorts of elements crackled to life at her finger tips.

Lightning mixed with fire, wind, earth and water and the elements quickly formed something akin to a rose flower.

The man who was jumping through buildings glanced down at the empress.

"Obediently comply and you wont be harmed." The man said in a calm, stern tone.

His glasses scanned the woman’s face and the readings came up almost instantly.

’A newly awakened?’ The man muttered to himself. But seeing as she was flying so freely, he felt that she must have awakened her abilities a long time ago.

His eyes scanned her thoroughly, as he tried his best to ignore her flawless face, and naer perfect figure.

Wehre did such a beautiful woman come from?

The man was alarmed. However he had sufficient strength to give him confidence to approach her.

He calmed down, and walked lightly in the direction of the beautiful woman.

Suddenly, he felt goosebumps rise from the depths of his bone marrow.

He felt a threat upon his life, and a faint intuition made him understand that it was coming from the woman ahead.

His eyes slowly landed on the flower in her grasp and he could feel the threat of death coming from it.

In his subconcious, he realised that just by taking a single step, he would be dead, without any chance of coming back to life.

He felt there was something off with the woman. His mouth parted to speak a few times, but he found himself unable to state any words.

The woman continued on her way, the flower following beside her like a loyal guide.

She didnt spare him a second glance, causing the officer to grow flushed in embarrassment, but he too, already knew the disparity in strength between the both of them.

’Where did such a terrifyign woman come from?’ He mumbled to himself but couldnt seem to approach an answer.

Nevertheless, just because he didnt appraoch the empress, didnt mean others weren’t as fearless.

His comrade, who followed him along, noticed alphonse didn’t attack.

Although he was confused, they had been given a mission which he couldnt ignore in the slightest.

Without hesitation, he left his hiding space, his speed reaching their limits as he closed the distance between the both of them.

One instant he was hidden behind a building, the next instant, he was already infront of the empress.

His speed was so drastic that it almost seemed as though he might take the empress life.

Time seemed to slow drastically to a crawl.

Suddenly, it was as though, while time was frozen, the empress slowly turned around to face him.

The officers felt his breathing caught in his throat under her cold gaze.

Only now, did he feel the threat of death, but it was already too late.

The flower moved, and bloomed. meanwhile, the empress took a light step and was already more than a kilometer away from the location.

The moment she was away from the point of attack, the flower detonated.

It bloomed into the surroundings, turning into a mushroom cloud of flames that destroyed a few buildings that were in its path.

Alphonse was forced to watch the terrifying sight, his eyes filled with terror.

It was hard to believe that such a terrifying fate would have befall him moments ago, if he wasnt cautions.

He felt saddened at the loss of his comrade who had been with him for more than ten years, but also felt powerless to take revenge.

It was the helplessness that came with being weak.

He could only watch the empress continue lightly moving forward like a feather caught in the wind.

Her movements were exceedingly graceful as though she hadn’t done anything in the slgoihtest.

He felt too powerless to even consider the thought of following her.

Through the glasses he wore, the headquarters had already visualized everything that had transpired, so they would likely be sending in reinforcements.

However, the officer was skeptical. He didnt think there was anyone who could stop such a terrifying woman.

He had a guess in his heart, that the woman who had attacked, hadn’t used her full strength in the slightest.

He glanced at the surroundings and frowned a little, then close a building to sit down, while he mourned the loss of his comrade.

The empress continued on her way.

Her gaze continued scanning her surroundings as she searched for lucien.

She didnt know how name, neither did she have a way to find him.

So, she could only keep flying, while sending out her senses, in search of his familiar presence.

Suddenly, she heard a sound in the distance and she noticed a flying object.

A young man sat inside the helicopter, with the camera poited in her direction.

The empress thought it was some form of weapon, but after sensing no killing intent coming from it, she understood that it was likely harmless.

She ignored it, and continued on her way, her gaze scanning the buildings ahead.

The man who sat in the helicopter, broke out in cold sweat.

"Focus fully on her!" He heard his boss who was riding the helicopter shout, making his hands tremble a little.

He quickly focused on the matter at hand and felt a little nervous at the sight of the empress who was flying so care freely.

He had never seen anyone as pretty, yet so dangerous at her.

He constantly felt on edge whenever he was even within a few meters of her.

If it wasnt for his boss wanting to make use of his abilities, he would have never come to video her on his own.

The world fell into silence, and chaos.

With someone flying, the existence of awakened ones would be very difficult to hide.

After all, people had also seen the man from before jumping through buildings.

The special forces through this was something they could handle quite easily by sending two of their best officers.

Unfortunately for them, one of the officers had been killed in a single attack.

Now, they could only send in the head of security to try to detain the woman, and try to pacify the crowd who were begining to ask alot of questions.

The special forces headquarters felt a headache incoming.

No one knew where this mysterious woman came from. However it was clear that she was trouble.

After an intense meeting which lasted only a few minutes due to how intense the situation at hand was, the person who would detain the woman was decided.

Instantly, three old men went out of the special headquarters.

Their speed was far greater than the officers from before, and so were their strength equally terrifying.

They were some of the strongest in the entire country. In mere minutes they had arrived at the empress location.
