" Are you for real you’ll have Josephine and Jane come stay with me?" I asked

" It wasn’t my request, I could say Mary and Maria had told them how much Helen has been enjoying. You even gave her one of your cards to sort the bills and buy anything she wants for herself"

" And you definitely know you’re their favourite uncle, so I guess I’d just give in to the pressure, they’re no longer young anymore. They are over twenty years old"

" It’s not like I’d Keep them in the house forever"

" The idea itself is definitely not bad, I definitely love it. You will definitely have time to ignite the spark in your marriage now that the children will be gone, prince wouldn’t be an issue since he could probably just go be with Emily’s family"

" He’ll like be in school, you know he loves campus life, so I’ll just get him a hostel to stay"

" I hope all your businesses are moving smoothly? Alex asked

" Yes sure, I didn’t see you at the business conference, was there an issue you missed?" I asked

" I had to message them that I won’t be in town that period, but I heard there were some positive remarks and bigger developments coming in"

" Yes, they’re still preparing the blueprint of the city plan once it’s done they’ll move to the execution phase".

" Nice, it’s definitely time to cash out from this launch".

" Yeah, a lot of people are already getting the money ready, they’ll also be doing an IPO for the residents and pay dividends depending on how much you invested"

Alex looked at his wristwatch checking the time, wow " I’ve really stayed this long, It is already past three "

" You’ll be leaving soon then" I said calmly

" Yes for sure in thirty minutes, it was really a nice time to catch up with an old friend"

" I’ll join you while going, I need to pay a visit to my friend, she is currently recovering "

’I didn’t feel like driving, it’s been a while I took a cab. I guess I’ll just go for that option today’

’I stood up and walked to my room to change to a much more free clothes

I walked by the corridor, heading towards my room. Helen opened the door almost immediately I got in front of her room door putting a stop to my tracks as we locked eyes

She felt a little bit startled like I had been standing there all along and was surprised to see me

" Denver, you startled me" she said

" Sorry about that " I replied

" Is everything fine, you seem to have been avoiding me ?" I asked.

She bent her head down and stared blankly at whatever she was looking at.

I raised her face up as I stared deeply into her eyes, trying to search for answers, her pupil dialed and was shaky.

She struggled to look bold at me fighting what she had done earlier, I smiled and rubbed my hands on her cheeks

The silence and her body language didn’t seem encouraging. I knew forcing it out would probably lead to a lie

" We will definitely talk later, and thank you for taking good care of my body, what you did cured my from a lot of things"

Her eyes were much more stable than before. It looked almost as if I had told her something she had been craving to hear

" Alex will be going soon, you should go tell him a good bye" I said as turning around and gave her a poke in her cheeks

I walked by past her I didn’t hear any movement of footsteps which could mean she was still standing there adjusting her self, facing the reality of what has already happened

I open my door, and took a deep breath

’ Helen will definitely be fine, and I’ll restore our relationship to how it was’

I open the wardrobe and put on a black plain jogger with a light yellow polo. I wore a cross necklace and brushed my hair.

I looked at the wristwatches in my showbanner and settled for the G shock. It gave a more matured at the time flexible design

I picked a black and white striped palm and walked out of the room to meet Alex and Helen in the parlour standing opposite each other.

She had already cleared the table and cleaned it off, everywhere looked like it was before ’ I so much admire this aspect of her’

Helen looked at me with a face of curiosity " are you going out?"

" Yes, I want to go see my friend, she’s recovering, I decided to just pay her a visit"

She looked at me from head to toe once again and rolled her eyes a bit " okay" she said folding her arms and turning to Alex

" I’m really greatful for all you bought for me and Denver, I’ve already spoken with Aunt Leah, she was very happy I loved all of them".

" You’re welcome, I was telling your uncle that I’ll even loved to have your nieces come stay her foe a while. They have been longing to see you"

" It’s a very nice Idea, that’ll be when my parents are back so it can be easier to explain things but for them"

" I looked forward to still seeing you some other time , make sure to eat well ok"

" Yes I will, good luck in your businesses"

Alex smiled as he heard those words from Helen, he hugged her and gave her a peg on both cheeks then he turns towards me

" Let’s go Denver"

" Sure"

I walked over to Helen and gave her a pat on her shoulders. " I’ll be back, make sure to get enough rest and don’t think too much " I said winking at her

I knew she’d understand what I mean, she didn’t look happy that I had to impromptu go out. We haven’t been able to see for this few days and now that she’s home early I won’t be around

" Why don’t you prepare something delicious and get a good movie for us to watch when I get back, I’ll make it up to you for my absence these few days".

’Helen tried as much to hide the excitement on her face for reasons best known to her but those words coming from her favourite uncle who understands her even best she knew she had to do it’

I poked her on her stomach and gave her a reassuring smile as I walked to exit the house.

We got into the car, the interior of the car picked my interest instantaneously, the car definitely felt customised. Alex definitely did some retouches to suit his desires

Alex turned the car on as we waved at Helen, and drove off. I stared at the rear mirror till Helen disappeared from the sight ’i definitely need to do better tonight ’

Alex was more of a hip hop fan and had a playlist blowing up the entire car speakers as we drove
