Chapter 2499 - 2507: Search

Along the Los Angeles coastline, the SHIELD Bureau had set up countless outposts, and all the speedboats attempting to dock were seized. Naturally, Liu Tian did not escape their notice.

However, Liu Tian wasn’t worried in the slightest, for he had no criminal record, and the SHIELD Bureau would not do anything to him.

What the SHIELD agents did not expect was that White Shark, aiming for nefarious purposes, had steered the speedboat off its planned course, and Holly Rosie’s speedboat had already strayed away from the Los Angeles coast, arriving at the San Francisco shoreline.

It was precisely because of this that Holly Rosie managed to evade the SHIELD Bureau’s Skynet.

At this moment, Holly Rosie’s speedboat was docked on the coast of San Francisco. Holly Rosie took a deep breath—she had finally seen land!

"Miss Rosie, Miss Lu, someone on shore has come to pick you up. Please disembark," the helmsman said respectfully.

"Shiqi, shall we get off the boat?" Holly Rosie said to Lu Shiqi with a beaming smile.

Lu Shiqi frowned, as her Spiritual Perception, which had just awakened, was extremely powerful.

For some reason, Lu Shiqi felt extremely anxious, as though she was about to lose something very important.

Lu Shiqi spoke in a solemn voice, "Rosie, you go with them. I’m going to find Brother Yu; I’m a bit worried."

Having said that and ignoring Holly Rosie’s persuasion, Lu Shiqi plunged into the sea with a splash.

This act left the two subordinates completely baffled. They were at a loss—Lu Shiqi, a delicate-looking girl, had just jumped into the sea as if it were child’s play?

Both turned their gaze to Holly Rosie, "Miss Rosie, Miss Lu is being reckless. What should we do? Go back and chase after her?"

Holly Rosie narrowed her eyes; "Let’s go. Don’t worry about Shiqi, she knows what she’s doing."

The two subordinates exchanged looks and decided to follow Holly Rosie’s command. They knew very well that the formidable woman before them was Qin’s lady.

Lu Shiqi swam rapidly towards the Happiness; halfway there, she felt an intensely powerful fluctuation!

This made Lu Shiqi even more anxious, and after fifteen minutes, Lu Shiqi finally reached the Happiness. The scene before her caused Lu Shiqi’s eyes to widen in shock!

Good heavens, was this the once grand and luxurious Happiness? It was nothing more than a wrecked ship now!

Suddenly, Lu Shiqi’s head shot up, and she saw an intercontinental missile tearing through the sky with a massive fiery tail—her mind was deeply shaken!

Lu Shiqi finally understood why she had felt the sensation of losing something incredibly important. The SHIELD Bureau was insane! They had actually launched an intercontinental missile at Brother Yu!

Brother Yu! You must not die! Lu Shiqi frantically pursued the direction of the missile’s flight!

Alas, even though she had transformed into a Mermaid, her speed was no match for the intercontinental missile. In the blink of an eye, Lu Shiqi was left far behind by the missile!

Time seemed to stand still. Lu Shiqi felt as though her very breath was about to cease as she sensed a world-shattering vibration originating from the depths of the sea!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Lu Shiqi looked into the distance, and several kilometers away, colossal waves, tens of meters high, suddenly erupted in the sea, a terrifying shockwave radiating in all directions!

The shockwave was so ferocious that it instantly killed the fish in the sea, and even some sharks did not escape unscathed!

Even several nautical miles away, the shockwave caused Lu Shiqi to spit out a mouthful of blood and lose consciousness!

If even a mere aftermath could inflict such severe injuries on Lu Shiqi, one could only imagine the condition of Qin Yu at the epicenter of the blast!

Fortunately, Qin Yu had already dived to a depth of five hundred meters. Otherwise, he would have been instantly annihilated by the blast’s energy!

The intercontinental missile power was enormous, instantly evaporating 300 meters of seawater!

At the center of the explosion, a 300-meter deep vacuum zone appeared!

If Qin Yu had not dived deep enough and exceeded the depth of 300 meters, he would have been instantly vaporized by the explosion’s force! Not even debris would remain!

The energy of the explosion was too ferocious! The seawater at a depth of 400 meters boiled instantly, as did the water at 500 meters!

The intense high temperature nearly cooked Qin Yu!

Boom! A huge shockwave slammed into Qin Yu! The Purple Micro Battle Armor’s Artifact Spirit didn’t even give a warning sound before it reverted to the form of the Purple Micro Star Ring instantly!

Qin Yu was like a baseball hit by a bat! Hurled by the force of the shockwave, he was slammed down to the seafloor!

Boom! Qin Yu’s head hit the ground, shattering several rocks, and like a carrot, it plunged into the seabed’s silt!

Qin Yu lost consciousness instantly, fortunately, the Purple Micro Battle Armor shielded him from the first wave of the blast’s force! Otherwise, Qin Yu would have been annihilated in an instant!

In the SHIELD Bureau’s monitoring room, upon seeing the intercontinental missile hit its target accurately, Mossas let out a breath—finally... vengeance was his!

Mossas proactively took off his badge and placed it on the table, knowing that the unauthorized use of an intercontinental missile would have significant repercussions, and his tenure as director was at an end!

Sure enough, very soon, two Secret Service agents appeared before him.

"Director Mossas, Mr. Obert wants to see you."

"Mhm." Mossas stoically followed the two agents out of the SHIELD Bureau, not regretting the decision he had just made.

Lu Shiqi slowly regained consciousness after an unknown amount of time. She found herself quietly lying on the surface of the water, surrounded by a wide array of dead fish and marine creatures.

Lu Shiqi rubbed her sore head. Why was she here? Why had she passed out? Her eyes widened as she quickly remembered some things!

Brother Yu! Brother Yu was in danger!

Lu Shiqi swam quickly toward the center of the explosion zone. The closer she got to the center, the hotter the water became. By the time she reached the explosion’s epicenter, Lu Shiqi felt her skin was almost boiling!

Yet, even so, Lu Shiqi didn’t shrink back; she had to find Brother Yu! If he was alive, she needed to see him; if he was dead, she’d find his body!

After scouring the ocean surface and not finding Qin Yu’s body, Lu Shiqi felt a bit relieved. If the body wasn’t found, it meant Brother Yu could still be alive!

However... there was also a possibility that not even a trace of Brother Yu remained!

Impossible! Absolutely impossible! Brother Yu must be alive and well!

Just as Lu Shiqi was about to go crazy with worry, she noticed a dead octopus sinking downward. It dawned on her—could Brother Yu be at the bottom of the sea?

With this thought, Lu Shiqi dove rapidly, continuing her underwater search!

Due to the massive force of the explosion, visibility on the seafloor was very poor, and Lu Shiqi could only see three meters ahead.

Because she was swimming fast, Lu Shiqi inevitably collided with several rocks, causing numerous wounds on her body.

Even with these injuries, Lu Shiqi didn’t give up; she kept searching relentlessly!

Suddenly, Lu Shiqi saw a dark mass ahead. Could it be another rock? It was too late for Lu Shiqi to change course; she braced for impact, closed her eyes, and hoped the injury would be minor.

To Lu Shiqi’s surprise, this time, she didn’t feel a strong impact.
