Chapter 2320 - 105: Crow's Prophecy VIII

The overcast sky was filled with snowflakes dancing in the air, settling on people's shoulders and slowly melting away.

Fang Hong slightly turned his gaze, lowering his right hand, and the metallic feathers spread like crow feathers contracted, with an eerie glow reflecting the pure white snow. The engravings above depicted nothing more than forests and stars, along with a hunting king. As winter approached, the hunting horn sounded long and mournful.

Amidst the biting cold wind, the construct warriors formed a line, withdrawing the long spears in their hands. The wind and snow swept around them, and the slender spear tips pointed directly at the sky. The square was in a state of disarray, with people groaning on the ground alongside bodies long gone cold. The few remaining Crow's Claw Knights had unbelieving expressions in their eyes, silently retreating step by step.

Fang Hong paid them no mind. He lifted his head, his pitch-black, mysterious gaze directed towards one corner of the square, causing the leader standing by the window there to gasp in shock and retreat several steps. He had witnessed that battle—or rather, one might call it a one-sided massacre. Despite the half-Dragon Knight's famous reputation outside, how many true artisan warriors were there?

Even though the battles in the video were spectacular, they couldn't compare to experiencing everything firsthand, shaking one's heart and mind. In his hand was the communication crystal, trembling slightly, uncertain whether to pick it up or put it down.

With a slight gesture, Fang Hong summoned, and an undulating humming sound suddenly echoed in the air. Under the intrigued gaze of the leader, bundles of silver threads flew from all directions and gathered in the young man's hand.

It was as if replaying a brilliant display of fireworks, a curved, silver spiral. One even paused for a moment outside their window, circling half an arc, examining the spindle-shaped, streamlined silver construct with dim crystals, leaving the room full of people statuesque.

With a light gesture, Fang Hong sent the silver light flying, transforming into a bundle that fell into his hand. Only then did he grasp the last construct fairy, hanging it under his coat while looking at the knights before him. The Grey Knights dared not block him, retreating to the sides. Under the pressure, someone lost their final will to fight, tossing down their weapon and turning to flee without hesitation. It was like a triggering chain reaction, prompting others to follow suit.

Fang Hong did not pursue, merely watching them disappear from the square before brushing the snow off his coat and walking forward lightly. Only much later did the leader react, directly pushing open the door and rushing out, charging down to the ground floor, and out into the square.

Everyone else followed behind him.

The square was covered in pure white snow, blotches of bloodstains, and bodies turning to dust, with sparks of white light merging into the overcast sky. The leader, trembling, picked up a broken chest armor, probing a fist-sized hole with his hand. The edge was charred black, almost crystallized.

He compared it with the position of his own chest, unconsciously swallowed. A group of people stood on the square, staring at the bodies scattered around, unable to utter a word. They couldn't help but think of the young prodigy nurtured by their guild. How did he compare?

The Silver Forest Spear was only a branch, yet even in the First World, it represented the power of the Silver Forest Crown. The Shield Staff Sword trio couldn't match up to them. Contributing talent to the main guild, they once felt honored. Among the three Northern Lands Stars, Wu Di even ranked first, surpassing the old guild Rose Cross Army's prodigy.

While not matching Sophie, the Silver Weslan's Little Princess belonged to a different world from them. The Silver Rose and Elite adopted similar strategies, remaining prominent in both the First and Second Worlds.

They also heard Tabopolis had a Novastar plan, but Tabopolis no longer existed now.

But...

"What kind of monster is this...?"

Their thoughts turned into an exaggerated remark.

The chest armor crumbled to ashes in the leader's hand, and someone dryly asked, "...they were like us, humans...?"

"What else?"

"But... Loofah wasn't this... outrageous..."

The leader remained silent, though he thought of someone.

At this time, the dull crystal in his hand faintly brightened, a hint of red glow emerging, and a voice came through the communication channel, "Chen, how did it go?"

The leader looked at his communication crystal, opened his mouth as if to speak, but found himself temporarily at a loss for words. Only after being asked again did he compose himself a little, hesitating for quite a while before responding, "Dong Team, we... didn't complete the mission..."

"Did the Holy Sanctuary people take them away?"

"No..."

"Chen, explain more clearly." The voice on the other side showed dissatisfaction with his hesitation.

"Dong Team..." The leader licked his dry lips, "I think there might be trouble..."

...

"Who are you?"

"I am Mei."

Even the brief exchange was enough to spark a warm feeling in others. "Ah, that Miss Knight is truly adorable—" People crowded within the inn's hall, surrounding the unfolding scene before them.

Miss Knight earnestly lifted her head, gazing at the person before her—black and white long robes, edged with sharp armor, and a wary, serious glance from beneath the helmet. Unknown when, the Crow's Claw Knights had streamed into the hall, forming an impenetrable circle inside and out.
