"He shouldn't have shown himself!"

The Adventurers saw it too and couldn't help letting out a few startled cries.

The most direct way Spellcasters fight each other is by unraveling the Spell, or countering the Spell. But no matter which method you use, the side with more people always has the advantage. In this Domain, being a few Levels higher doesn't mean much—two fists can't beat four hands, and even a High Rank Spellcaster will struggle to freely cast spells while being swarmed by a pack of wolves.

Yet what made everyone's jaws drop was that the moment Elisa stood up and moved out, Luo Yu also lightly raised the Magic Wand in his hand, as if the Priests around him didn't exist at all. Each time he pointed the wand at a Priest in front of him, the spell in that Priest's hand instantly dissipated into nothing. As he pointed at them one by one, every face filled with unutterable shock, all the way to the last man, the High Rank Priest in the black-and-white robe embroidered with gold trim—

The spell in the man's hand had already taken shape, but in an instant, when Luo Yu's gaze turned in his direction—

the silver halo in his hand suddenly crumbled apart, and the countless syllables of the Spell in his mind scattered and disintegrated, turning into nothingness.

The High Rank Priest lifted his head, staring at Luo Yu with a look of incredulous terror. He even opened his mouth, as if to ask: "…How did you do that?"

But Luo Yu had no intention of answering his question.

He merely set the Magic Wand in his hand gently down onto the ground.

Ether surged back out of the shattered Curses in a backlash. Priests near and far all screamed in unison, staggered back a step, and fell flat onto their backsides. The High Rank Priest whose spell had been the most fully prepared turned deathly pale, coughed up a mouthful of blood with a choked cry, and then collapsed to his knees.

For that moment, the street was dead silent.

Everyone seemed to be asking themselves the same question:

How did he do that?

They were so stunned they even forgot about Elisa's movements.

In the building on the other side of the street, Parker was in a complete fluster, hurriedly setting up the giant Magic Guided Ballista, trying to stop the Crow's Claw Knights charging up the stairs. "Parker, buy me a little time." Gita flipped open the Magic Guided Book and shouted toward him without even looking back.

But it was already too late; the enemy had reached the front Door, and his Ballista was only half assembled. Parker glanced back at Miss Natural Historian behind him, then looked down at the enemies below, and could only angrily shove the half-mounted Ballista over the edge—then, with a look of utter heartbreak, watch his Crossbow worth more than ten thousand Lycel crash down together with three Knights.

But that could only stave things off for a moment; he could already see more Knights rushing up to the main entrance outside.

"We're done for, we're done for," the Papalarians hopped about in panic. "I knew nothing good would come of this, I never should've believed the rumors those scheming bastards were spreading!"

"Mr. Parker, I just need a little more time."

"There is no time," Parker cried in Despair. "They're already coming up! What am I supposed to block them with? Myself?"

He screamed as he spoke, but his foot suddenly slipped, and with a shriek he tumbled down. Amid a clatter of crashes and bangs, the Papalarian, curled up like a ball, rolled down together with the second group of Knights charging up.

Gita at that moment gently laid her hand on the title page of the Magic Guided Book. Only then did her heart calm slightly, and she subconsciously let out a sigh of relief. "Mr. Parker, I'm ready." She lifted her head, looked around, and couldn't help showing a puzzled expression. "Mr. Parker, where did you go?"

Down in the first-floor hall, Elisa, who had just landed in a pillar of smoke, was cheerfully hauling the Papalarian up from the ground, patting the dust off his clothes. "Nice work, Mr. Parker."

"Save it," Parker snapped. "Any later and I'd be on my way to meet God."

"Not necessarily," Elisa glanced outside and smiled. "We still have people out there."

But the two of them suddenly fell silent, raising their heads to look in the direction where Miss Natural Historian was.

At that moment, the Crow's Claw Knights outside felt the ground give a faint tremor.

And on the other side of the street, Luo Yu's parents were coming down the stairs, looking at their son not far away—

Luo Yu's mother pondered for a moment before replying:

"Back during the Battle of Bain, I met someone."

"Who?"

"Flamewind Ainol. Do you know that name?"

"The former Chairman of the Star Council?"

"Also the foremost Elementalist in the country, and one of the former Ten Kings," Luo Yu's mother turned her head back. "You know, there are rumors he was that man's student."

"Who?"

"Roban."

She paused. "Xiaoyu's casting style… is a bit like his, but not quite the same…"
