Pioneer Lord: I Have Conquering System
Chapter 430 - 294: Miskar
SIZZLE!
The words had barely left his lips when a fierce torrent of Holy Light enveloped Mandela. Levi stood before him, one hand outstretched, as an immense, concentrated stream of Holy Light burst from his palm.
It was like throwing open the shutters in a pitch-black room at dawn, allowing the piercing morning light to pour in.
"Why waste time on useless talk?" Levi said, clicking his tongue as he looked at Mandela’s wretched state. "I have no interest in hearing your last words. If you have something to say, go tell Fulina yourself."
The shroud of Holy Light was like ice water hitting a bonfire. The Dragon Flame flared violently as the two forces clashed.
Though the Lord was dirt poor, he had more than enough Holy Light to spare. In a massive flood of Holy Light, the flames covering Mandela were extinguished in just two heartbeats.
Compared to the brilliant and valiant general from moments ago, Mandela now looked like a common street punk.
His unidentified Magic Armor had been reduced to a puddle of molten metal on the ground by the Dragon Flame’s heat. His skin was as red as a boiled shrimp.
He was stunned that the Dragon Flame had been extinguished so easily. But a second later, his hands moved like lightning to cover himself down below.
"You brat, are you still looking?!" Seeing Levi’s gaze drift downward, even the thick-skinned Mandela couldn’t stop his old face from flushing red.
"I’m just relieved to see you’re still alive and kicking," Levi said. He had been worried that after putting out the Dragon Flame, Mandela would be nothing but a piece of roasted jerky. But he seemed to be in decent shape, except...
They say intelligent people don’t have much hair. If that’s the case, Mandela must be an absolute genius now.
There wasn’t a single hair left on him.
In truth, Levi hadn’t been a hundred percent certain he could extinguish the Dragon Flame. He had just decided to give it a try. It seemed to have worked out quite well.
He had once learned two Holy Light Divine Skills from Fatir. The first was "Holy Light Spirit Blade," which had a simple effect: it enchanted a weapon, imbuing it with the Holy Light Attribute.
The second was "Holy Light Baptism," the technique he had just used. It was also an entry-level Divine Magic for Holy Knights, with the simple effect of dispelling minor ailments and negative statuses.
But in the Lord’s hands, even a Low Tier Divine Technique could extinguish Dragon Flame. It had nothing to do with finesse—it was purely a case of brute force creating a miracle.
With the banter over, Levi walked toward the Flame Sword, which lay nearby, having scorched the ground black.
From the moment he’d spotted this "ownerless" Magic Weapon from the sky, he’d felt like a cat who’d stumbled upon a salted fish, unable to contain his excitement.
’Time to claim it for my... I mean, to return it to its rightful owner.’
’To think that I, a magnificent Lion Hunter Knight, a proper Marquis of Debei, the renowned Lord of High Cliff Castle, only have this one set of Extraordinary Armor to my name—and it was a gift from Liya.’
’As for weapons, I’ve been using the same Secret Silver Longsword since the very beginning.’
’I’m like a Max Level character still using an Iron Sword from the starter pack. It’s pathetic.’
’Now that I’ve finally found a weapon befitting my status, how could my heart not be racing?’
"Wait!" Mandela cried out when he saw Levi was about to pick up the weapon. "Levi, the Dragon Soul in that weapon has been corrupted! It’s not something we can wield!"
"General Mandela, no offense, but if you can’t do it, just say so. Don’t lump the rest of us in with you," the Lord interrupted impatiently with a wave of his hand. "I never pretend to be more capable than I am. Just watch."
Levi walked alone toward the Flame Sword on the ground.
The Blood Swordsmen couldn’t bear to watch. They had heard of this Marquis Levi, but even their own General Mandela had been bested by the sword. Could a mere human really wield such a weapon?
True, the man had extinguished the Dragon Flame on their general, but as the saying goes, "a physician cannot heal himself." Even a three-year-old in Debei understood that.
Levi’s expression was calm. He gripped the massive hilt with both hands and, in one smooth motion, lifted it.
Before everyone’s watchful eyes, the massive Giant Sword was lifted effortlessly by the small human, looking almost like a toy in his hands.
"Lighter than I thought," Levi remarked, smacking his lips with an expression that said, ’Is that it?’
Mandela fell silent. ’Could this Lord of High Cliff Castle actually be the bastard son of a Giant?’ he couldn’t help but wonder. But no matter how he looked at it, that seemed impossible.
"Hmph, so what if a human can lift Digen’s Howl? Just wait until you’re burned to a crisp by its Dragon Flame!" Bartley sneered. He was furious that this Legendary Weapon was like a Succubus whore, letting anyone touch her. But picking it up didn’t mean you could use it—the bald human was a perfect example.
ROAR!
The Red Dragon Soul materialized from the Giant Sword, and an instant later, it unleashed a deafening roar right in his face.
"What are you roaring so loud for?" The Lord sneered, casually cleaning out his ear, completely unaffected.
The Red Dragon Soul before him was visibly stunned. The next moment, an enraged expression contorted its illusory face, and the Dragon Flame on the Giant Sword surged toward the Lord in an overwhelming tide.
’Given that Holy Light is effective against Dragon Flame, then...’
"Holy Light Spirit Blade!"
The Lord gave a soft cry. The Holy Light within him erupted, instantly pouring into the blade. Washed over by the endless Holy Light, the seemingly unstoppable Dragon Flame was immediately suppressed back inside the sword, unable to even flicker.
The Red Dragon Soul stared with wide draconic eyes, utterly dumbfounded.
The simple display created the most shocking visual. The battlefield fell so silent you could hear a pin drop. Mandela silently turned his head away, plucked a leaf from a nearby plant, and used it to cover himself.
