Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator
Chapter 1225: Familiar "Faces" in the Spirit Realm (Part 2)
Baimu led a group of Ghost-type Pokémon out of the construction site, unfazed by the harsh afternoon sun.
Who knew that Otsuka and others were waiting at the entrance.
Aside from them, many town residents were observing from a distance, whispering among themselves with curious eyes.
“Boss, you’re back!”
“Boss, is it true there’s a ghost down there? What does it look like? Isn’t it supposed to have bleeding facial features and a long tongue, always screaming?”
“Baimu, my mom asked me whether the announcement is true.”
The few spoke one after another, drawing other town residents closer.
Baimu raised his hand and knocked on their heads. What are you doing yelling these things in public? Can’t you have some sense? Aren’t you supposed to be members of the Rainbow Team!
Then he said to the approaching town residents, “Everyone, don’t worry, what’s stated in the announcement is definitely true. Yesterday, it was indeed Ghost-type Pokémon causing chaos—look!”
He suddenly pointed to Shanren behind him, who had a Spiritomb tagging along like a rabbit behind him.
Realizing why he was being surrounded, Shanren came forward with the culprit Spiritomb to explain the situation in detail.
His personal explanation was indeed more effective than a cold announcement.
However.
The crowd gathered here not out of fear and terror brought by rumors, but because they wanted to see if there was any way they could help.
Peaceful life is hard-earned, and no one wishes to return to the past, nor wants their beautiful life taken away.
Even if it involves so-called ghosts.
Shanren looked at the eager faces and felt moved.
Why does he want to develop the Ore Region? Besides realizing his self-worth, allowing people who should be living peacefully to have the life they desire is also one of Shanren’s major goals.
He believes the Ore People aren’t inferior to people from any other region, and the Rescue Organization is a great demonstration of this.
God helps those who help themselves!
“Everyone, rest assured, even if you don’t believe me, you should believe Baimu. I’ll let him guarantee it for you!” Shanren pushed Baimu forward.
Baimu reluctantly stepped forward and said, “If there’s a problem, find Cheng Hong and the others! Let them come to me! In any case, listen to the mayor without worry!”
Cheng Hong and his enthusiastic gang were shouting loudly, and the town residents dispersed assuredly.
“The people under you are terrible at keeping secrets.”
He turned to Shanren and said.
Shanren sighed and said, “We’ve never encountered anything like this before, naturally inexperienced and inadequate. We’ll see if we need to announce anything publicly once everything is settled.”
“Alright, handle it as you see fit.” Baimu didn’t mind letting more people know about the existence of the Spirit Realm.
Knowing about these things won’t be harmful.
Arrived at the arena.
Ying Ma and others had been waiting for a long time, facing their doomed fate with an unyielding attitude.
However, there was nothing new today.
“This afternoon will still focus on theory. I’ll conduct a small test the day after tomorrow, so I hope everyone listens carefully and studies independently after class to prepare for the Silicon City exchange team next week.”
Baimu’s words immediately added a sense of urgency to the group who had just started relaxing.
It was called an exchange.
If beaten too badly, where would Boss Ying Yuan and this merciless temporary teacher’s face go? Would there be any good outcomes?
They might even be chased and bitten by Lycanroc every day!
Understanding himself to be the vanguard, Ying Ma was highly focused, afraid of missing a word.
Meanwhile, initially bored Hoopa was flipping around restlessly like a kid waiting for their parents to finish work, but soon, with the encouragement of Gray Fatty Gengar and the mischievous Dragapult Siblings, it found a place to enjoy playing.
Facts prove that partners are more important than the venue.
The afternoon course ended.
With an hour left before Furong’s so-called witching hour, Baimu hurried to complete today’s Mega Steelix Super Evolution.
Pokémon training can be postponed, but Super Evolution needs to be adapted to quickly.
“Roar!”
The Mega Steelix, whose body expanded to twenty meters, let out a muffled roar of slight agony under the astonished gazes of trainers in the arena.
The horizontal steel bones, resembling crystal pillars, spun like a high-energy reactor about to explode.
“Hold it down! Allow the energy to flow freely within your body! This is the power you can control!” Baimu shouted loudly.
Compared to a few days ago, Steelix had made much progress. It didn’t fall over or rampage on the spot, which showed it was slowly improving. Just a little more time, and Steelix would master its new strength.
“So impressive…”
Ying Ma watched the Mega Steelix, longing for such captivating mighty power. If his Pokémon could have it too, perhaps he wouldn’t lose to anyone next week!
Otsuka and Cheng Hong exchanged a glance, similarly yearning, and they thought about the Super Evolution Wave Baimu had mentioned before.
If only they could research it quickly.
Ayana remained silent, a hint of envy flashed in her eyes.
The vast arena.
Trainers observing the Super Evolution showed different expressions and held various thoughts.
Five o’clock in the afternoon.
The sky began to turn orange yellow.
The witching hour Furong mentioned—twilight was approaching, Baimu searched online and found that here, the explanation for the witching hour was the same as in Japan before, both considering dusk as the time when humans and ghosts coexist.
Baimu directly used Hoopa’s portal to reach the Underground City, only to find most human-operated machines had stopped, with incomplete white figures independently walking around, and a noisy sound coming from a small house in the distance.
Getting closer, he found Furong, Shanren, and Britto among workers, gathering around a huge food container to fetch food, seemingly preparing to eat dinner on the spot.
“Baimu, you came at the right time!”
Seeing him, Furong waved her hand with smiling eyes and said, “Come and eat!”
Shanren glanced at him, raised an eyebrow, then turned back to keep organizing.
Hoopa casually rushed in, shouting, “Are there donuts? Hoopa! Wants donuts!”
Britto eagerly brought over a chair and said with a grin, “Baimu, sit! Miss Furong discussed with everyone whether we could work overnight. We all agreed, hoping to solve the issue quickly.”
Upon hearing this, Baimu couldn’t help but look at Furong.
The Four Heavenly Kings being invited here showed no airs, nonchalantly eating fried food, while beside her, Dusknoir’s blood-red eyes squinted as it stuffed Pokémon food in its mouth.
“You don’t have to worry too much about hospitality matters. I’ll arrange it; don’t worry, the etiquette will certainly be on point, and the rewards won’t be lacking.”
Shanren seemed to know what he was concerned about and patted his shoulder.
Baimu felt relieved.
After dinner.
The machines’ roar echoed throughout the Underground City again.
Furong took out the prayer beads used to seal Spiritomb earlier, its wooden exterior emitting a thin layer of light. She said, “Finding the location of the Spirit Realm entrance isn’t difficult; the hard part is forcing it into reality so we, with physical bodies, can interact with it. Remember the Spirit Realm entrance in Mauville City?”
“I remember, the nonexistent room 1608.”
“Yes, room 1608 was the medium through which the Spirit Realm entrance interacted with reality. By gathering large numbers of Ghost-type Pokémon to create a special magnetic field based on known mediums, we lured room 1608’s appearance and successfully entered.”
She spoke softly, raising a finger and said, “Later, I’ll calculate the direction, and you have to tell me if any anomalies occur.”
Baimu paused and looked at the workers constructing in the distance and asked, “Should I tell them to stop?”
“They have Guardians, no need for that. Besides, you’ve been to the Spirit Realm once, so you have its scent, which can easily trigger a reaction. That’s why I said there might be anomalies.”
Furong shook her head, sat cross-legged on a mat, holding prayer beads in her left hand and a bell string in her right.
Dusknoir and a group of Dusclops stood behind her, the metallic components on Dusknoir’s head shone like a beacon.
Suddenly.
A nameless wind blew.
Baimu glanced towards the wind’s direction, and his vision went black. A familiar feeling overwhelmed him.
Could this be…
Soul Detachment?
Having experienced this soul out-of-body exploration in the dark the night before, Baimu was startled and attempted to open his eyes, only to “see” a gray-violet vortex materialize in front of him, within it, blood-red eyes opened suddenly.
A ghostly voice sounded.
“You’ve… finally come…”
What is this!
Baimu, startled, swiftly opened his eyes and found himself still standing there, with Furong silently calculating the Spirit Realm entrance’s position on the ground.
Woah? Do I have an acquaintance in the Spirit Realm… no wait, an acquainted ghost?
