The already crumbling Team Aqua suddenly caught sight of a fleeting opportunity. Shelly clenched her teeth and, without hesitation, issued the order for a full-scale assault.

"Yes," Flannery replied firmly. "If our objectives align, there's no reason to let them succeed uncontested. Even if we can't capture Deoxys, we will never allow them to take it!"

"Understood!"

The remaining Magma forces regrouped and charged toward Deoxys—colliding head-on with Team Aqua.

Let them fight.

The greater the chaos, the easier it would be for him to fish in troubled waters.

As Kai's Pokémon plunged into the battlefield like wolves among sheep, the conflict entered its final phase.

Everyone except Kai and Misty was already fighting with bloodshot eyes.

Every Pokémon was battered, exhausted, and barely holding on.

At this moment, whoever could unleash one more overwhelming force would completely tip the scales.

Kai smiled faintly.

"It's time."

"What?" Misty asked instinctively.

Kai laughed loudly. "Time to show them what true brutality looks like!"

He raised his arm high.

The Key Stone blazed with light—

And at the same instant, an equally brilliant glow erupted from the depths of the lake!

The radiance pierced the water, instantly drawing everyone's attention.

Before anyone could react, the light vanished—

And the lake exploded.

A massive crimson figure burst forth!

Only then did Misty remember the Red Gyarados she had almost completely forgotten.

After luring Deoxys from the water, it had vanished beneath the surface—and amid the endless chaos, she'd lost track of it entirely.

She never expected it to reappear now.

But as the water cascaded from its body, she froze.

Its body was far bulkier, its hide harder—like living armor. Its horns were larger, its whiskers longer, and a massive dorsal fin replaced the old ridged plates along its back.

It radiated pure savagery.

"What… what is that?!" Misty gasped, then snapped her gaze to Kai's wrist. "Don't tell me—"

"That's right," Kai said lightly. "Mega Evolution. My Gyarados has Mega Evolved."

Misty's heart pounded.
