Possessed By The God: God's Choice Series I (omegaverse bl)
Chapter 115: Forking Winslow dogs
Noah’s POV
I’m terrified.
The wisp of happiness I had from earlier has fully disappeared at the mention of Conan’s name. I really don’t know why this new revelation scares me, but it does.
"Why are we going for Conan?" I ask and Elias tilts his head to the side.
The distrust and anger from earlier are still there, but the possession in his eyes feel stronger. He’s looking at me like a doctor assessing his patient. Calm, cold, and calculated.
"Conan might have the answers we need" Elias says and I force myself to calm down. I can’t even remember what Conan looks like.
"And maybe he can make your conveniently missing memories return" Damien says and a short, bitter laugh slips past my lips. The laughter is due to the stress of that driver’s crude treatment and the added anxiety of their search for Conan.
"Okay" I say with a nod before stepping out of the way. I’m more than ready to return to Elias’s room so I can meltdown in private.
"Have fun" I add and shove my hands into the pockets of my borrowed pants. "Yeah, you’re coming with us, Pink" Damien says lazily and I freeze.
What?
My eyes move from Elias’s cold face to Damien’s cruel one. Kai is standing behind his brothers with his eyes on his phone.
"Am I allowed to be there, I thought I was a suspect" I say to Damien and he laughs.
"I like when you pretend to have a spine, it makes you...attractive" he flashes his alpha eyes at me and I whimper, stepping back in fear and fighting against baring my neck to him in surrender.
"Damien, stop it" Elias says harshly and Damien huffs, giving me a playful grin as an apology for his behavior.
I think I hate him again.
"Why should I stop? Didn’t we agree that he’s free game?" Damien says and I speak for myself.
"I am not a game" I growl and Kai proves otherwise with his response.
"You’re not a game, but you legally belong to Julian Fletcher according to the contract signed by your father. It’s publicly acknowledged and the only way out of it is..."
"Kai, stop it" Elias growls and I snap my mouth shut. I didn’t even realize that I had been gaping like an idiot while Kai was speaking.
"I don’t belong to Julian. He’s my godfather and he has no right to lay claim on me" I say.
"Julian is not laying claim on you, Goldie. He fucking owns you" Damien says bluntly, and I look at Elias.
I look at his face with desperation for him to say something in my defense. But instead of speaking, the alpha walks past me and the feeling he leaves behind is worse than when that driver spat on me.
It’s heartbreak in a new dimension.
"Come on, dear brother-in-law who might not be my brother-in-law because he’s someone else’s belonging" Damien says and pulls me by my elbow.
Lucas follows and he can’t meet my eyes.
The Deus brothers don’t care about the position I’m in or the feeling I’m experiencing. I already know they’re inhumane, but it still hurts. Lucas is the only one who seems to understand.
Taking a shaky breath, I steel myself for what’s to come.
As we walk down the hall, we meet a maid passing by with a tray of desserts and Elias quietly takes a fork off the tray without her notice. Damien whistles at the smoothness and Kai hides his smile.
What does he plan to do with a fork?
We finally arrive at the door that leads to the basement; the place where my best friend is being held like a criminal.
Every time I fall into Elias and his family, something will always show up to remind me of how black their hearts and morality are.
"Arie darling, open sesame" Damien sings loudly as he bangs on the door with intensity and I flinch. He’s acting as chaotic as his nickname Chaos.
Aria opens the door. Her eyes move from person to person. She looks at Elias, Damien, Kai, her twin brother and when her eyes find me, her expression sours.
"What do you people want now?" she asks in a tone that shows just how much she doesn’t want to see me.
"We’re looking for a particular person and we want to start our tour by searching here first" Elias answers and she huffs.
"You could make things easy by giving me a name, but sure, go ahead" she says and steps out of the way for us to go through. I hear her grinds her teeth as I pass by her and can smell the change in her scent.
The other guards in the basement gather together to see what the Deus brothers want.
"Give us the Winslow prisoners" Kai drawls and they spring into action.
No...my city’s people are going to see me dressed in Elias’s clothes and they’ll hate me even worse!
I turn to hide behind the brothers’ bodies, but Elias grabs my arm and pulls me back to the front. He keeps my back pressed to his chest in an iron grip, and his fingers dig into my skin through the fabrics of his shirt.
No...no...no.
"Elias" I whimper his name and I feel the dark energy radiating off him.
Goddess, please don’t let them hate me worse. Please. Please. Please.
Roughly twenty men and women are pulled out of the dark cells and I turn my head to the side. I can’t look at them. The guards are violent with them and my omega starts to whine in discomfort.
"What do you bastards want?" one of the Winslow men spits and Elias exhales behind me. The warm air he releases tickles my nape, but I dare not move.
"Look, he’s got the Governor’s son" someone whispers and I drop my head.
"We are looking for a person named Conan" Damien says loudly. He’s wearing taunting, devilish smile.
"Why should we tell you where he is?" a woman asks.
"Oh boy" Kai mutters under his breath and puts his phone down.
"We have nothing to say to you. Go fuck yourselves and take that weak omega piece of shit with you--" the person’s words are cut off when a silver fork is suddenly embedded in his eye with a wet noise.
Elias threw the fork from behind me with enough accuracy that everyone not related to the Deus family, including me, let out a shout of surprise and horror.
My body starts to shake with a new kind of fear and Elias lets go of me.
The alpha walks to the one with the fork in his eye and other Winslow prisoners scramble out of the way for him.
"ARGHH!" the man screams as blood streams down his eyes like red tears.
Elias grabs the man’s matted brown hair and forces his head back.
"Where is Conan?" my husband asks calmly.
"Fuck you! Fuck you! Arghh!" the man screams in pain and Elias calmly pulls the fork out. I retch and turn around at the awful smell that floods the room.
I can’t look at this. What Elias is doing is completely terrifying right now. This isn’t the man that let me sit in his lap overnight.
"I have time to play, Winslow dog. Where is Conan?" Elias asks with the same quiet authority.
"He’s back at Winslow in the guarded psychiatric hospital. Conan has been there for a few years now" someone else yells in panic and the room starts to buzz with both fearful and hateful comment.
"These Winslow pricks are weak as fuck. I really wanted to play with the fork too" Damien says.
"They could be lying, so you can always play later" Kai says.
"More fun for me" Damien says with too much happiness in his tone. These men are completely deranged. They have human bodies but are far from being human.
I hunch over to breathe when I feel someone’s arms wrapping around my body.
I lift my head and see Lucas, not Elias. I almost shrug him off, and then I remember that Elias is busy using someone’s eye as a stab toy.
"Brace yourself, Noah. You’re going back to Winslow with the Deus" Lucas says to me and the fear that floods my body makes me vomit all over the floor.
