Chapter 677: Chapter 675: Her Identity

Celeste Grant chuckled softly.

"Alright, alright. As long as you’re happy."

When he moved to kiss her again, Celeste Grant raised a hand, pressing her palm against his lips. "Wait a second."

"Hm?" He lifted his gaze slightly and said softly, "What is it, my dear?"

Celeste Grant began, "I just wanted to ask you how to undo this inherited Seal of mine. This power in my body comes and goes, and right now, I have no control over it."

She furrowed her brow as she spoke to him. "If I can’t ever get it under control, it’s going to be a huge problem. This power could go haywire at any moment and whisk me away to some unknown world. And most importantly, the places this power can take me aren’t limited by time. I really don’t want to suddenly end up tens of thousands of years in the past, or tens of thousands of years in the future. If time gets all messed up, even if I use my Cultivation to break through the void, there’s no guarantee I could make it back safely. When you think about it like that, it’s a massive issue."

Javier Sinclair thought for a moment, then nodded slightly.

He propped himself up on one hand beside her, musing for a moment before saying, "You’re right, that is a problem. But you don’t need to worry too much, my dear. Even if you really did go to another world, no matter the time, I would be able to fish you back out immediately."

Hearing this, Celeste Grant muttered, "’Fish me back out’? Archfiend, I really have to thank you for that." She reached out and patted his head lightly. "What am I, a fish you’re scooping out of a pond? Still, hearing you say that does put me at ease."

"Mm," Javier Sinclair nodded slightly and said softly, "With me here, you don’t have to worry about your safety. But as you said, if you can’t control this power at will, it will certainly be a significant problem down the road."

Celeste Grant hummed in agreement. "Exactly! So we have to solve this, or you really will have to come ’fish me out.’ Javier Sinclair, do you have any ideas?"

"Let me think." As he spoke, Javier Sinclair sat up beside her. He tapped his fingers lightly on his knee, seemingly pondering a solution.

He glanced sideways at Celeste Grant, who was lying beside him, and said in a low voice, "Celeste, the Seal in your bloodline is very complex. It’s a series of interlocking layers, more than a dozen of them for protection. This Seal not only suppresses the Ancient Divine Power you inherited, but it also protects your Primordial Spirit from being extinguished. I can sense that the core power of this Seal is meant to guard you. In other words, if you were ever to face a situation where your Primordial Spirit was about to scatter, that Seal would activate, and its core power would reconstruct your Primordial Spirit for you."

Celeste Grant was stunned for a moment, then immediately sat bolt upright. She grabbed Javier Sinclair’s arm and said, "Oh, are you serious? Doesn’t that mean I basically have an extra life?"

At this, she suddenly thought of something. "Huh... Wait a minute, something just occurred to me." She turned to sit face-to-face with Javier Sinclair.

She looked up at him and said, "Do you think it’s possible that back when I was making the sacrifice in the Lower Realm, if you hadn’t given up your life to save me, I might not have had to die after all? The Seal might have been triggered then, and it would have reconstructed my Primordial Spirit."

Javier Sinclair knew she would think of this. He nodded slightly. "Mm, in theory, that’s correct."

Receiving his confirmation, Celeste Grant clutched her chest, looking as though she’d just lost a hundred million. "So it really would have worked... a classic case of suffering from a lack of knowledge." She grabbed both of his hands and gently knocked her forehead against his shoulder.

She said softly, "You know me, Archfiend. I’m timid as a mouse, desperate to live, and terrified of pain. Do you have any idea how heart-wrenching and agonizing it was for me to finally resolve to die back then? If I’d known I couldn’t die, what the hell was there to be afraid of? If I’d known I had a bug like this in my bloodline, you wouldn’t have had to destroy your body to save me."

"Damn fate loves to play tricks on people. It’s infuriating."

As she spoke, her heart began to ache.

The memory of Javier Sinclair giving up his life for her was still vivid in her mind. If he hadn’t had another identity, he would have truly died. The mere thought of that possibility made Celeste Grant’s heart ache, even now.

"Javier Sinclair..." Celeste Grant wrapped her arms around him and murmured, "I feel awful whenever I think about what happened then. If you weren’t The Demon God, you would really be gone."

His large hand wrapped around her waist, pulling her into his embrace. "Why are you thinking about this? It’s all in the past. Besides, at that moment, the only thing on my mind was saving you, keeping you by my side. I couldn’t think about anything else. But I’m very clear on one thing: I did it because I wanted to. Celeste Grant, even if I had to do it all over again, knowing you have this Seal, I would still save you without a moment’s hesitation. Because I would never gamble your life on a slim possibility."

His face was stern, his expression earnest.

Celeste Grant hugged him tighter.

"You idiot, Old Fiend Sinclair."

’Meeting you in this life is my greatest fortune. The world is full of scumbags who want to have their cake and eat it too, but I just happened to find the best one of all.’

She looked up and said, "So, what do you think? Is it better to leave this Seal, or should we get rid of it as soon as possible?"

Javier Sinclair replied, "There are pros and cons. Keeping the inherited Seal in your bloodline does have its benefits, but over time, it also poses a potential danger to you."

Celeste Grant muttered to herself.

"A potential danger."

He hummed in affirmation.

"The person who placed this Seal on you must have thought they could return to your side in a short time to undo it. Otherwise, they would never have left such a danger with you. Just as you said, if the Seal can’t be undone, you’ll face the constant possibility of being whisked away to other worlds, at any point in time. Right now, the power within you isn’t obvious because it hasn’t been long. But as more time passes, the situation you described will definitely occur. You could wake up one day in a strange new world."

Celeste Grant nodded slowly.

"So, this Seal really needs to be removed as soon as possible. Keeping it is just too dangerous." ’For all I know, this unstable power could send me to an alien planet in my sleep.’

She rubbed her head and couldn’t help but ask, "So you can’t do anything about this Seal either?"

Javier Sinclair explained, "If it were just a matter of simply undoing the Seal, I could break it directly and destroy it. But your Primordial Spirit wouldn’t be able to withstand that, so such a direct approach is out of the question. There are many Sealing Techniques passed down from Ancient Times, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen one like yours.

"For your safety, I dare not act rashly with something I don’t understand. So, if we want to undo this Seal while guaranteeing you won’t be harmed in the slightest, I’ll need to study it further. It would be best to consult some ancient texts and secret techniques to see if there’s a known method to release it."
