Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss
Chapter 680: Young Master of the Demon Realm, a Foreman?
After arriving in the Demon Realm, Celeste Grant had come to understand why this place was called the Demon Realm. It was because it was home to a melting pot of different races. Just because it was called the Demon Realm didn’t mean it was only inhabited by the Demon Clan; there were many others.
Here, there were the horned Demon Clan, the Sylvan Clan who could transform into trees and plant themselves in the ground, and the Minotaurs with their bovine heads and human bodies. There were also the Trolls, several meters tall with green faces and sharp tusks. Beyond them were the most powerful major clans in the Demon Realm, such as the Yaksha, the Rakshasa, the Kinnara, the Garuda, and the Asura. The king of any one of these clans was a Fiend King in their own right.
「That afternoon.」
「Deep within the Ninefold Abyss, the Forbidden Land.」
Celeste Grant was enjoying afternoon tea in the courtyard of her home. She hadn’t gone out for the past few days, preferring to relax here. The main reason was that everything that needed to be done was already done, so there was no need for her to personally handle anything. With Nerida and the elders taking care of matters big and small, things were going well.
At this moment, Celeste Grant was lounging comfortably in a rattan chair, holding a glass of iced fruit juice that gave off wisps of cool air. Above her, the vines of an ancient tree had curled around a circular fan, fanning her gently.
She scrolled through videos on her phone, occasionally taking a sip of juice through the straw.
She glanced down at her phone screen. On it, a few handsome men from the Demon Realm were doing a leg-sweep dance.
“Wow, this leg-sweep dance is really good.”
Just as the words left her lips, someone appeared silently beside her and sat down.
“Is it good?”
A voice drifted into her ears.
The voice was deep and magnetic.
Celeste Grant, who had been watching the handsome men do their leg-sweep dance, looked up to see Javier Sinclair sitting beside her. He had one arm draped over the back of the rattan chair and was watching her with a leisurely gaze.
Celeste Grant glanced at him and said with a grin, “Hehe, you’re here, darling.”
“Hmph!”
The big shot was starting to sound snarky. “It seems I’ve come at a bad time,” he said, leaning slightly closer to her. His gaze fell on the screen in her hand. “Have I disturbed my lady’s pleasant pastime? What are you watching?”
His tone was calm, but Celeste Grant could hear the jealousy seeping through. ‘Tsk, tsk. Another day, another bout of jealousy from my Archfiend,’ she thought.
Celeste Grant chuckled and scooted closer to him. “How could you be a disturbance? The men in the video are nowhere near as handsome as my Archfiend.”
He repeated her words, “‘Wow, this leg-sweep dance is really good.'”
Hearing this, Celeste Grant leaned back in her chair and burst out laughing. “Hahaha… Oh, my! Honey, you’re practically radiating jealousy. Are you jealous?”
“Jealous? How is that possible?” Javier Sinclair flicked his sleeve, refusing to admit it. He said coolly, “I am the great Demon God. Do I look like the kind of man with so little magnanimity?”
“Oh-ho, really?”
She leaned a little closer and teased, “Mhm, not jealous at all. You’re the Demon God, after all. Your magnanimity is at least… *this* big.” As she spoke, she held up a finger, measuring out a tiny section.
Javier Sinclair’s face turned red.
“Celeste Grant, you’re pushing your luck.”
“Don’t be jealous. Here, let’s watch together.” She leaned against Javier Sinclair and placed the phone in front of them. She started scrolling through a new round of videos, one after another, featuring both men and women.
On the screen now was a young Minotaur, two-point-three meters tall, carrying a giant log on his bare shoulders. As a Minotaur, he was strong and powerfully built, with a solid frame.
He was showing off his physique, and below the video, a pile of comments were thirsting over him. Things like, “Bro, you’re so strong,” “Bro, I want to have your calves,” and someone even asked if Brother Taurus had a Taoist Companion.
In the video, the young Minotaur gave an honest smile, thumped his chest with his fist, his face full of sincerity. He looked like the earnest and down-to-earth type.
“Hey family, if you like what you see, hit the like button and give me a follow. Today’s goal is to chop down a thousand Silver Iron Wood trees to trade for Demon Spirit Stones. This Silver Iron Wood grows here on Grakkar and is an excellent material for building flying Magic Ships. Any customers who need some, please click the link below to place an order. After we at Grakkar accept the order, we offer free home delivery. If you’re not satisfied after it arrives, you can get a refund.”
“For giant Silver Iron Wood, look for the Grakkar brand. Officially certified by the Demon Realm, and worthy of your trust.”
Hearing this advertisement, Javier Sinclair’s mouth twitched. He could practically feel a few crows flying over his head. In the past six months, the entire vibe of the Demon Realm had been skewed. Still, things were indeed developing for the better.
Just then, Celeste Grant, sitting beside him, looked at the Minotaur on her phone and commented, “Ooh, this Brother Taurus has a pretty good build. He’s very strong.”
It was just that their races were different, so she couldn’t quite appreciate Brother Taurus’s looks. But by the standards of the Demon Realm, he was a very handsome young man.
The moment Celeste Grant’s words fell, Javier Sinclair shot her a look. He cleared his throat and said, “Strength is not determined by height and weight.”
The implication being:
‘I’m very strong too.’
Celeste Grant glanced at him and couldn’t help but laugh. “Mhm, you’re right.” She raised an eyebrow, leaned close to his ear, and whispered, “You really are very strong, darling. Especially at… certain times.”
Javier Sinclair froze for a moment, the tips of his ears turning red. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders, happy on the inside. But what he said was, “What are you saying in broad daylight, you shameless woman?”
Celeste Grant gave a mischievous grin. “Javier Sinclair, where did your mind go? Could it be… Eww, you have a dirty mind. I was talking about when you fight people. You’re very formidable and look very strong then.”
Javier Sinclair: “…”
He gave a sinister smile.
“Celeste Grant.”
Celeste Grant offered him the fruit juice. “Iced juice. It has coconut jelly in it. Want a sip to refresh yourself?”
He lowered his head and took a sip, and a cool sensation washed over him.
“Is it good? Nerida just brought it for me.”
“Mhm, not bad.”
As he spoke, he glanced at Celeste Grant and said, “By the way, that boy Annie took Ellie out and still hasn’t brought her back.” He hadn’t seen his own daughter in days.
Thinking of this, he said, “My little Princess hasn’t video-called me in days. Has she forgotten about me?”
Celeste Grant smiled. “I don’t think so! Our daughter video-called me this morning. She’s been following her brother around and says she’ll be back in a few days. Your son has become a construction foreman, you know. He says that by the end of the year, he’s determined to build roads to every corner of the Demon Realm. And that’s not all. He also wants to build docking stations for Magic Ships all over the sky. In short, your son is very busy.”
Celeste Grant had no objection to this.
‘It’s good that our son wants to find something to do.’
Hearing the words “construction foreman,” Javier Sinclair’s composure cracked a little.
‘His son, the great Young Master of the Demon Realm, has become a construction foreman.’
Javier Sinclair let out a dry laugh.
“A construction foreman… That’s great.”
