Chapter 1712: Harem Missions (2)
The plan Unity cooked up was rather simple; Lilian would do what she does best: rain fire upon the mansion, creating a grim atmosphere and chaos beyond measure while also killing as many immortals as she could.
So the moment Lilian made her presence known, she nosedived, her wings spread wide and flames burning around her.
"ROARRRRRR"
Her roar shook the entire mansion and even the city.
"BOOOOM"
Then, in a devastating collision, the ground shattered, large craters formed, and some mansions came crashing down.
In just one deadly impact, Lilian destroyed almost half of the mansions, and over a thousand immortal guards died, with many others sustaining injuries.
However, that wasn’t all. The moment she landed, thousands of fireballs started to rain down, filling the entire mansion with chaos—the very same chaos Unity had asked for.
While the fireballs were doing their thing, Lilian took to the air again and clashed with ten demigods.
Perhaps that was what they wanted, so they ignored the destruction around them and went after her. She, of course, led them into the clouds, where they would be out of sight.
But with them gone and over 70% of the immortals dead from the collision and fireballs, when Unity made her appearance known, she was met with only a few immortals and about ten demigods, leaving only four demigods unaccounted for.
Unity walked through the gate like she owned the place, her hair tied into a ponytail, her body covered in leather armor, her bow firmly in her hand.
"I would like to think you guys are innocent, and as such, I would spare you. However, if you attack me, I will be forced to kill you all," she warned, but her words fell on deaf ears.
A demigod zipped through space, his spear pointed at Unity’s neck. However, just before he could get within two meters of her, a dark-clothed figure appeared behind him, her scythe moving like a blur.
The demigod saw the attack coming, but before he could make any attempt to evade, Dia’s scythe sliced through his neck, ending his life.
"Well, my sister would kill you all." Unity smiled and winked at Dia, who smirked, having forgotten just how annoying Unity—or Artemis—could be sometimes.
"Unity, go now and make sure that bastard dies with three arrows through his head," Dia said, and Unity nodded.
"Be careful, Big Sister. These bastards aren’t that weak, but they’re not that strong either."
Unity took a step forward, and she vanished from sight.
The demigods who saw what Dia did became alarmed, some trying to run toward the mansion where they believed Unity had gone. However, before they could move, Dia activated her trump card.
"Heart Demon Realm."
The space around them turned cold, and then, as though they had been possessed, they all screamed loudly, and hell broke loose.
Dia moved like the wind, her scythe meeting the staff of a demigod mage. Soon, they became blurs, exchanging thousands of blows in mere seconds.
Her Heart Demon Realm allowed her to plant heart demons within the hearts of opponents whose soul strength was lower than hers.
Her soul was already comparable to that of demigods, so she was able to implant heart demons into eight of the nine remaining demigods.
Now, all of them were fighting their heart demons. However, given how fiercely they were attacking one another, it was clear that their heart demons had taken each other’s forms.
The only one who wasn’t affected was the mage, who possessed a rather robust soul. But even so, with just one of her, it was only a matter of time before Dia cut her down.
Meanwhile, Unity stopped 2 km away from where Dia was fighting the demigods and bit her lip. Her sister had been the most loving and caring person she knew during the Primordial Era.
However, after spending thirteen lifetimes as a heart demon, she had become so twisted at heart that her core nature had completely changed.
Seeing the resentment coming from the direction of her battle, Unity realized that the sister she knew had long since died, and the one fighting now was the unknown person Ainna had said had lost both her soul and destiny.
She was her sister, but her true nature had long been stolen, leaving her cursed. While she could harness some of the curse, she always feels agonizing pains due to it.
Unity had wanted her not to come on the mission, but when all her sisters left, she stubbornly insisted that she would come too. Now, while she was dominating the battlefield, she was also in great pain.
"Don’t worry, Big Sister, we will get your fate and destiny back one day."
With a sigh and an angry expression, Unity released an arrow through the main gate, revealing a large hall where five demigods stood, ready to kill whoever walked through the gate.
When Unity stepped through, Lord Vexor ordered his four demigod guards to attack. However, Unity didn’t stand idle either.
An arrow flew from her bow and arrived before Lord Vexor, but she was also attacked from the side. However, instead of defending, Unity allowed the sword to strike her body.
"CLANG"
The demigod who attacked her widened his eyes.
"Indestructible Body, bitch."
Unity’s foot moved and landed on the demigod’s face. Then her bow glowed, and three arrows appeared on the string. With a deadly pull, she unleashed three terrifying arrows, each of which landed on its mark.
The mansion shook, and then it exploded, revealing Unity locked in battle with the five demigods, including her target, Lord Vexor.
Once the mansion was reduced to rubble and the space widened, Unity smiled and teleported away. The next second, the sky turned golden, and arrows started to rain down.
"Activate the defensive formations!" Lord Vexor, who chose to stay and fight, believing that victory was within his reach, turned pale, his body trembling as he issued the order.
"Formations or not, you are dying today, you evil bastard." Unity intensified her assault.
She knew that before she could get to her target, she first had to deal with the four demigods, who weren’t any weaker than some of the beasts she had fought and killed while inside the Planet Killer Dungeon.
However, humans were crafty, so she was careful as well. This was all so that when she got to her target, she would find it easier.
Inside the clouds, Lilian too was locked in battle with the ten demigods, and the same was true for Dia, who was getting closer to killing her second demigod.
Meanwhile, 7 km away from the mansion, a formation gate opened, and three demigods clad in bone-like armor, each wielding a bone-like weapon, stepped out.
The aura of blood clung to them, showing that they are blood cultivators like many others. However, their appearance alone was enough to tell that they weren’t friendly.
"I wonder who is bold enough to attack a City Lord who is under the soul temple protection," one of them said, a smirk forming on his pale face. He had four sets of eyes, making him look both dangerous and evil.
"I don’t care who dares do that. What I know is that I will be getting fresh blood to drink."
They laughed and moved toward the mansion, where Lord Vexor was being attacked by Unity and her two sisters, Dia and Lilian.
However, they had moved only 800 meters before coming to a stop. One hundred meters away from them, a purple-haired dragon man sat with his eyes closed, a smile playing on his face.
"Gentlemen, how about we watch instead?" Kent said.
Then, as though the heavens themselves were falling, all three agents of the Soul Temple dropped to their knees, their bones breaking instantly.
